We've eaten here a couple of times and have gotten food delivered from here as well. It's your typical local Mexican restaurant. The food is the same, but I will say this place has great salsa. I've tried a couple of things more than once but it's pretty hit or miss. I've tried their fajitas and carne asada. First time I tried each dish it was okay, next time it was great, and last time it wasn't good at all. If you're craving Mexican and don't want to drive all the way to Madison or Huntsville this place would work. read more

Macho Burrito con Asada sin sal. My husband and I shared this massive burrito. It was delicious the salsa picosa was hot just it should be. Queso was mild and excellent and the salsa verde was medium hot. Excelente service and food. The server was very gracious and kind. read more

My wife and I arrived to the restaurant around 2:30 pm on a Friday. We were the only customers in the restaurant and service was slow. When I worked in Toney, I used to eat here at least once per week. I would come during lunch, where they have a very affordable lunch buffet. I believe it was about $7.00 not including drink.. The food at El Paso is always excellent. They have a wide selection of foods, and I don't think I've ever had a bad meal. Their fajitas are delicious, much better than such Mexican hotspots as Rosies Cantina and Las Trojas. The Chimichanga is excellent, and even their free chips and salsa are very good. I found the staff to be most courteous and responsive. Like most restaurants in Huntsville, the restaurant decor leaves much to be desired. Although they have remodeled over the past few years and its a huge improvement over what it was. But we must remember that this used to be an old gas station, so there is only so much that they can do with the unusually designed space. If you're driving to Ardmore and hungry, be sure to stop here. You'll be happy you did. read more

Fajitas taste like meat stewed with bell pepper, onion, and tomato but lacked any fajita seasoning flavor Meat wasn't tender or char grilled like at Rosie's Cantina(so far my favorite in Huntsville). We have been long time customer here. We always enjoyed their buffet. This was my husband's favorite Mexican restaurant. But the last 3 or 4 times we've been, the quality of the food has gone way down. On our last trip I ordered supreme nachos. When I got my plate it was covered in lettuce and hamburger meat. There was very little cheese. I had to dig through it just to find any. I would think that cheese would be the main ingredient. Plus, the chips were soggy and I couldn't eat them. Their food is 10 times better than that Mexican Resturant in Harvest by Publix or Las Trojas down the road. El Paso was here first. And their food is a lot better so they are here to stay. This is my favorite place to eat Mexican food, I have been eating there for years my family and myself use to eat there at least once a week. We've moved to the country and don't eat there as often as we would like but when we get the chance we do enjoy our visit. read more
