This place is amazing! Every time I been here the service and food is incredible. I will make the drive out to hazel green just to come to this spot. Wednesday-Friday this place is having events. I have attended trivia, bingo, and karaoke night with DJ Manny and I have personally had 2 birthday parties here with over 20 people and the service was still on point. For you ladies, it's definitely dinner and a show with the hunky brothers running the joint. I have never had a bad thing here, but i absolutely love the Diego's pizza. Small place, looked clean. I went in to order a to go order of a side of rice + beans, and the nachos with beans and cheese. I was shocked to hear that the total before tip was $15! Not sure if they tack on a fee for taking out or not. But it seemed a little steep for such a simple meal. Over all the food was ok, the rice was good and the beans were basic. The cheese on the nachos was the white queso sauce type. The service was quick and friendly. I'll probably return to dine in and try something else in the future. read more

Stopped in for lunch today with my fiancee. I went with the $6.25 All You Can Eat Lunch Buffet, she ordered the Taquitos Mexicanos lunch special (her dish was only $5.99). I felt the lunch buffet was OK, her meal was very good. Our total bill, including tax & a tip came to $20, very reasonable we thought. I ordered chicken and rice with a side of queso to go and it was $20 when I grabbed the bag and saw the amount of food I was appalled!!!!! The food and service are sensational. I am from southern California so I've become accustomed to really good Mexican food. Imagine my surprise the first time I set food at El Mariachi. They serve very good Mexican food. All of the dishes taste as they should (my former home was less than an hour from Mexico), and all of the meals are reasonably priced. I have several favorite dishes: their Chili Verde steak is very nice, as is their Chili Colorado steak dish. Their taco salads, shrimp cocktail are great. Probably my very favorite dish is the Chimichanga deluxe plate which has 1 small shrimp, chicken and steak Chimichanga served with some sides. More than enough for dinner; most times there is enough for a work day lunch too. I know there is at least one buffet offering. I'm not sure which evening it is nor if there is a lunch buffet. The menu is the same, but the food seems to be better :) Also, welcome change has finally come for us here in Hazel green, we get to have a margarita with our meal and even shots! Living in Hazel Green, there really aren't a lot of food choices within driving distance. El Mariachi is one of the few choices and fortunately it's excellent food. The food always tastes good, the service is prompt and the prices are very reasonable. You can get an generous order of Chicken Fajitas for lunch for under $7.00, not including drink. The only critique that I used to have is that the decor was very dated, with these hokey engraved tables. But they recently moved to a new, large location within the same shopping center and its much nicer now. I recently discovered the Sunday buffet and you can't beat it for $6.50! They also have a burger option for kids that don't like Mexican, which unfortunately includes my youngest son. But he really likes the burger, so it all works out :) read more

Been eating here for years and it has steadily declined. Tonight was the last straw. Wife and I ordered 2 Nacho Fahitas in which every single tortilla chip was wet and soggy. The entire dish looked like vomit and tasted like it was frozen and thawed and tossed in a microwave. I'm done with this place. Mucho aqua el taco. My whole plate was full of water. I had a taco a burrito and chile releno. No idea why there is a about a coffee cup full of water on my plate. Like all local Mexican restaurants they don't ring up sale on cash register, they use calculator. This always makes me question if taxes are being paid. If you're in mood for Mexican head 1 mile south to an old Hardee's or go 15 miles north to Fayetteville. Avoid this place unless you're thirsty. read more
