Right off the corner near Anita gelato. Outside seating is offering, it's in la Calle . The food comes out quickly, don't order the queso. It's exactly that, unless you put the cheese on something it's not as fluid as one might be use too. It's literally warm cheese. I ordered the shrimp tacos(not pictured) I ate them quickly con salsa verde. Heat from the salsa was so good I came back the following day. Yes English is spoken, Spanish is highly appreciated in their establishment as many are happy at your attempt or mastery of learning the language. I believe this is close to the cruise drop off for all cruise goers. Short Uber from condado.

After eating Puerto Rican food all week, my Mexican mother and I decided to give this place a try. Don't get me wrong, my expectations weren't high to begin with but our thought was "how bad can you mess up tacos" well apparently pretty bad lol. $20 for 3 of the probably the worst tacos I've ever had.... dare I say Taco Bell is better. No toilet paper or paper towels in the restroom of an empty restaurant. The two stars are for the Michelada & service.

I stopped here to grab some lunch and this seemed to be a different and authentic spot to try. It sits right near various restaurants in Old San Juan. The guy talked us into to trying out this place as we were walking and looking. There is an option to sit inside or out and we choose in as it looked like it may rain. It was a nice little spot. The area was upbeat and lively. The doors remained open which gave it an airy feeI decided on the Chicken wrapped entree stuffed with shrimp. My friend got the Empanadila. The chicken wrapped items were just ok for me. They were suppose to be stuffed with shrimp but I did not find any. The Empanadilas were good. Not to much pastry but just enough. We also got the fried cheese. It was ok. In this case I would have to say that the Passion Fruit Margarita was probably the best item this time around. The service was great and the guy was attentive. This got an extra star for me.

First of all this place is right in the heart of old city in midst of all the hustle bustle which makes for a perfect mid meal option, specially if you are a tourist. I won't call it a tourist trap simply because the food here is good but oh boy anything you order takes forever. So be ready for an hour long wait without any apology or sense of rush from the servers. Somehow I have accepted the fact that the mojitos in San Juan will be served sweet with the least potent alcohol, no surprises here as well. Fried empanadas with octopus meat was the killer dish. Loved every bite into the crispy hot empanadas and the warm, soft and juicy meat. Ten on ten for the dish. Garlic shrimps mofongo was delicious was well; generous quantity of shrimps and garlic with soft plantain cake. Only thing that concerned me was that the shrimps weren't clean enough. I could see the black veins on most of the shrimps, while I know it's edible I was concerned about the digestive issues. And it did later on, I suffered from stomach cramps all the way on my flight back to NewYork, so did my friend. I would still say the food was delicious though not sure if it was worth the pain later. Recommend this place for some authentic fusion Mexican, just be careful of the wait time.

I honestly wouldn't recommend going to a mexican restaurant in Puerto Rico, the food is very expensive and not authentic. Even the chips and salsa are $4.50 which are usually free in the fanciest Mexican restaurants in the states or Mexico. We honestly got caught in the rain and wanted to kill time in this restaurant for the rain to stop so that we didn't get wet but we killed our wallet instead. The service was good and the lady was really nice and the mojito and piña colada were delicious but deff don't recommend the food

Place is super cute, we sat outside on the cobblestone street. The drinks were good. Our server was amazing and friendly. We were able to order food from their sister restaurant across the street which was puerto rican food that we enjoyed.

Great little place in Old San Juan, Mexican food out on the cobblestone street, which ate closed off for seating. Happy hour drinks every day. Excellent service. A must go when walking historic Streets.

We only got pre-dinner drinks here, but I'm glad we did! We could sit out in the street, where it was lively. It was pretty busy. We loved their cocktails and they had a great happy hour special! They also gave us complimentary chips and salsa, which was hot hot hot! The servers were quick despite the large crowd. Come here for a fun meal or drink!

I desperately needed this after Mallorcas galore! Time is a bit fluid so they will open up a half hour late, but their happy hour deals run all night long, and every night. Some of the food will be fresh, and some will be less desirable. But I'm not mad I stopped here- Ya can't really beat two margaritas for $10 and two tacos for $7. The chicken is dry, so opt for the pork tacos. Request for the cook to go easy on the salt on every dish, especially with the fish.

My partner is Mexican and I'm a world traveler who has eaten Mexican food cooked by Mexicans (partners, suegras, cooks, sister in laws, etc) for 14 years. I don't want to see yellow cheese and any sort of lettuce on my tacos. Like everywhere in San Juan, the atmosphere is rustic burned out bar, aka perfect. The woman running the front of the house was casual and friendly, and unlike some of our dining experiences here, prompt and attentive. We ordered the special mole enchiladas and alhambre, plus elotes, drinks and desert. The menu is something I would be excited to explore in the United States, lots of traditional dishes including several moles, birria, cochinita pibil, tacos, etc. It's southern Mexican cuisine, and when we learned the chef is from Puebla it made perfect sense. The food was excellent. After days without spicy anything (why does everywhere offer Tabasco?) we were excited to have three homemade hot sauces brought to our table. The mole was very special, and I've eaten like six kinds of mole in Oaxaca. Enchiladas with perfectly done vegetables covered half in white and half in the more traditional dark/mole Poblano. I wish I could recreate it over and over at home. My partner's food was also excellent, and everything we saw coming out looked great. So sad we can't come again soon.
