The best tacos I've had in my life are the tinga tacos- incredible service and great ambiance! LOVE

First of all the customer service was great from beginning to end..I was warmly greeted upon entering the establishment. After being seated and order taken the food came not too long after ...And boy was it good!..Definitivamente would recommend if you're looking for Mexican food!...I just wish I'd found them sooner!!!! Very cute restaurant too...And if you leave a review you get a courtesy surprise!...How awesome!!! read more

Outstanding tacos--so good we went twice in one day! This little taco spot near the JW Marriott in San Juan absolutely nailed it. The tacos were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. We ordered the fish tacos and pork tacos, and both were outstanding--crispy, well-seasoned, and balanced with great toppings and sauces. The fish was light and flaky, the pork was tender and packed with flavor, and every bite felt thoughtful and authentic. Portions were just right, prices were fair, and the quality was consistent enough that we couldn't resist coming back again later the same day. If you're staying near the JW Marriott and craving tacos, don't overthink it--this place is a must. We'd happily go back a third time! read more

Did a to-go order today and the tacos were missing 3 toppings listed on the menu. The elote was incredible disappointing. While the food was edible, I'd suggest paying a little more to get better tacos literally anywhere else. I'm not sure how you can mess that up read more

Very slow service. Food was bland and portions were far too small. Left feeling Disappointed.

We stayed at the Marriott hotel across the street. We were waiting for our room to be ready, so we went here for lunch. The restaurant is tucked away in a hallway of sorts. Most of the tables are outside with some fans /air flow but pretty hot. We luckily found a table available (one of three) inside with air conditioning. However, the interior smelled like bleach. There was only one cook and one waitress, so it took a while for our food. The food was okay but lacked flavor and was disappointing. My husband is from California, so we know fresh Mexican flavor. We all ordered different tacos (carnitas, carne, and ground beef). We ordered the guacamole and chips as an appetizer). We had to ask for salt to add flavor to everything. The kids did love the churros. If you're looking for something simple and affordable then check this place out. Otherwise, there are more delicious choices in the area. read more

Fresh, tasty ingredients, but very seriously under-salted. ¿Cómo no vas a poner sal? I understand people have different tastes, and I usually don't complain about varying levels of seasoning, but it's very obvious when something has no salt. There is no salt at the table, either. read more

Expensive tacos and the chips and salsa were a bust too. I wouldn't go back. Not worth the price.

The food wasn't good! We got tostadas and they were very small! Had to pay extra for lettuce, onions etc. We wouldn't come again.

We came at the closing of the restaurant and they accommodated us. They offered us the to go options. We ordered Pastor Quesadillas, Carnitas Bowl, Asada Bowl and Birria. The food was decent and the ambience is casual. The prize is reasonable. read more

Great spot for a quick bite! The Mexican food here has a fantastic Puerto Rican twist that makes it stand out. However, I have an important recommendation: every single item on the menu should include a detailed description. We ordered "carnitas" quesadillas, assuming they were made with beef since that's common in some parts of New Jersey and New York. However, in Puerto Rico, "carnitas" refers to pork. My wife, who does not eat pork for religious reasons, accidentally ate a piece. When I informed the waiter, he kindly made a beef version for us, which was great, but we were still charged for the original one--which is fine, I wasn't going to argue over $16. The issue is that the menu only specifies pork for carnitas in the taco section, not in the quesadilla section. This kind of oversight can lead to serious problems if the wrong person eats something they avoid due to religious, dietary, or allergy-related reasons. Given that your clientele isn't exclusively local, I strongly recommend adding descriptions to every dish to prevent confusion. Otherwise, the food and service were great! read more

First place my fiancé and I decided to try that was "reasonably" priced turned out to be quite expensive. I don't appreciate it when someone thinks I'm dumb enough to not notice that the bill for 4 tacos and a soda and water was $50 because the server decided to give herself a generous tip. She didn't even mention it but then turned the machine around which requested another tip. I called her out on it and said, you want another tip on top of the tip you gave yourself already??? She just smiled. I pressed skip. But had no option to remove her auto 18% added. Food is average and took forever to come out. Avoid the tourist traps. I hate places like this. We come here to bring tourism money to your island and you think we're just stupid tourists to be taken advantage of. read more

Order took a while but I was warned. I had takeout. Containers were good kept the food contained for a half mile stroll back to the apartment. They missed packing my two drinks. I should have checked. The area is super nice. Such potential. I observed several patrons having to go into the kitchen area to get their drinks refilled. The fish tacos had a good spice but were over fried. The guacamole was ok but lacked any flavor. The chips were not fresh. No hot sauce was provided. Not a good value for the money, essentially since I did not receive $7 worth of drinks. The Mediterranean restaurant next door is a way better option. read more

Very surprised more people haven't reviewed this on Yelp. Because it had "one of the best burritos I've ever had" said my dining mate. A carnitas one full of cheese and lettuce and "Waka waka" sauce. But really everything we had was great. From the guacamole to the margaritas to my Burris tacos. Friendly service without being too rushed. We were on island time. Just a great place for lunch or dinner. Good for takeout too. Don't miss it on this busy street. It's a true find. read more

Ate here three on my recent vacation to San Juan. Vegan and non-vegan options were delicious and loved by everyone in our group. Service was lovely and the vibes in the dining area were perfect. They definitely don't have enough recognition because the place was quiet but that only means it's more accommodating for large groups because they definitely have the space. Again, cannot recommend this place enough. read more

We found this place on TikTok with pretty good reviews. I think it's overpriced for the food quality. The meat was very good but the tacos were limited with flavor. Chips & queso is store bought queso for $6 , id eat somewhere else. read more

Taco shop in a cute alley in San Juan. This was my first meal after arriving to San Juan so I was looking for something quick. BEST FOOD IN SAN JUAN! I visited here and got a table inside. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. Our server was Luis, he was great. There's plenty of seating outside and a small indoor area. We ordered the vegan Tinga tacos and the Asada de Res. Absolutely so delicious. The vegan tacos were perfectly made with the best combination of toppings. Two tacos was perfect. We also got two bottles of waters which they brought with a cup of ice and a lime. They have a wide selection of beers and sodas. If you're in town you must go! read more

Cute little spot in the San Juan area. They offer vegan options which is why I went. The food is very overpriced .. obviously for the location I guess that's normal. However you get two tiny street tacos for $12.. totaling $6 each taco which is absolutely absurd. The flavors are interesting. I think the bean one is the best not sure if that would be the pastor or the tinga. It was spicy and flavorful. The "beef" one was weirdly sweet and tasted of cinnamon. I do think if you are in need of vegan food since there isn't that much in this area, this place is a great option. Just expect to pay a lot. They offer alcoholic drinks and other drinks. I can't comment on the service since I got take out. The food overall was okay and would've been better than okay if it was half the price. read more

The service was pretty good. I ate out. I did not stay in the restaurant. It is a very small restaurant. Doesn't seat very many people inside or out? Pat waitress and the chefs were all very very nice. The tacos were exceptionally well done for just being straight beef tacos. They look really great and the guacamole was fresh and he made my chips right in front of me so I know everything was fresh. Great place to eat to catch a quick snack p. read more

Terrific little spot tucked off the main road. Great food, lovely staff. Good selection and reasonable portions. Must visit!

Their food gave me food poisoning. I ordered a burrito beforehand, and my sibling told me not to because supposedly the place smelled? I didn't notice the smell, but the kitchen was messy. Long story short, I woke up in the middle of the night extremely sick. Be careful. I ordered the chicken burrito. Taste wise it was okay / good. read more

Came here on recommendation of the concierge at the Marriott Stellaris. Xolo is across the street from the Marriott. Very casual place and we sat outside. Service was ok. We ordered margaritas and they were okay... (not great). Had some guacamole and chips to start - and they were just not good. The chips were ok but the quacamole had some pickled onions (?) and a very odd sour taste. Unlike any quacamole i've had and not a fan at all. Had an assortment of the tacos: fish, carnitas and asada. The tacos were great - very tasty. So - overall mixed results. Would look for other options... read more
