This is by far the best place for authentic tacos in Bethlehem. The place is family owned and always delivers high quality Mexican food. Aside from the tacos, the chilaquiles are fantastic. The prices are also very reasonable. I think it would serve them well to get onto one of the online delivery services in the area. This small hole-in-the-wall place has a small parking lot and on-street parking was plentiful on a Sunday evening. It was full of diners at around 7. We saw many groups stopping I tried 3 different meats (tongue, steak and carnita) on 3 different set-ups (taco, gordita and tostada) respectively. The tongue taco was the least inspiring with only a modest amount of meat. It also did not taste too fresh...like fried in used oil. The steak gordita was far better. Steak (wish there was more meat) was incorporated into the corn dough with lettuce & cheese on top. It had great corn flavor. My favorite is the carnita tostada. Meat, lettuce, cheese and tomato are piled on top of a flat tostada. It is the closest to the typical American taco, albeit flat. The carnita was too sweet and I would have preferred more savory but not a deal killer. Hubby loved his Enchaladas de Mole and my teen liked his Chuleta Frita. It was a good meal for a reasonable price. Our tab was $36 for 3 entrees, 3 drinks & a flan. Pretty reasonable for the food quality & taste. read more

Let me just start by saying, AHH FRESH!! Everything from the steak to the chicken was prepared perfectly. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite. I go here when I want comfort food... and I am not even hispanic! It's just such a humble little place where Mr & Mrs Owner are running the whole show with their son and daughter (after school), it's like their family is cooking for you... I've had a bunch of meals here, and there have been one or two weird dishes, but usually the food is good, it's fresh and it's always cheap. The chips are tasty and the salsa is wonderful. If I could just eat that, I might be fine! However, there are lots of other things that are also very good, like the tacos and the tostadas, which I usually get with the Pozole soup... mmmmm! That might be my favorite - great broth, chunks of pork and big white hominy kernels... always warms me up. Sometimes the pork can be fatty (many other cultures eat fat as a delicacy), same for the pork in the tacos (carnitas). The only other thing I had that was mediocre was a burrito (take-out... eaten cold). But aside from that, what I have had here is really good and again, for the price it is hard to beat. I think it is better value than most of the other hispanic places, as long as you don't need atmosphere to validate your experience. read more

Delicious, authentic Mexican food run by a very nice family. You can get the tacos "American style" with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese if you prefer. I'm not a fan of cilantro or raw onions, but they go so well with the tacos. The cow's tongue is a MUST TRY! It's chopped finely, and tastes amazing; you'd never know it was tongue.
