Okay. I need to update my review and give this another star. I used to live in Southern California, and I was very, very sad when I tried the food from many of the Mexican restaurants in the Lansing-area. El Oasis is one of the few exceptions. I have not had a lousy order, yet. The people in the cart are great about making items meatless. Their sopes are amazing (meat or no meat), as well as the veggie tamales. The tacos have corn tortillas, and many are made the way they are supposed to be made, depending on the filling. Even though I prefer meatless options, I really enjoy the lengua taco (especially with the juice from the enclosed lime wedge), and the ground beef is good. Depending on the time of day, this place is busy. You may not quickly get your food as soon as it is ordered, but don't let it keep you away. This food is worth the wait. read more

Yummy food truck on Michigan Ave! Came here with some friends right before the homecoming game for some brunch! There were three picnic tables plenty for people to sit on. I got steak tacos and they tasted very authentic and delicious! But, It took longer to make the food than I thought it would. Will definitely come by to try other menu items. read more

I am not sure if this was the one?it was located at one time in front of short stop party store at mt.hope and Logan/mlk.last visited there in 2005 since I live out of state now.i got 6 street tacos and a can of Pepsi for under 8 bucks though I am sure it's went up in 13 years.still good food and saw they relocated to present spot and had a stand inside Tony's party store at cedar and miller(not sure if that still there inside store?). read more

For Mexican food in Michigan, you won't get better than this food truck. You have to wait outside in the extreme heat or cold sometimes, and I don't know how the cooks do it inside, but it's always worth it. There's now seating at picnic tables in the parking lot where the truck is set up. The sauces are delicious - the hot is hot, and the mild is mild. Chorizo tacos are my all time favorite buy here. It took me years to visit El Oasis. I've lived around Lansing my entire life and I've driven up and down MI AVE countless times. I'll be honest, this taco truck creeped me out. Well, I had a craving for some tacos and I finally decided to give it a try. I've been back 4 times within the last month. I've tried a few different menu items; my favorites so far are the pupusas and a small burrito with pork. First time eating here, and I've read so many great reviews, so I ordered my meal and once I got it everything tasted amazing, and then I got to my main part of the meal the " small burrito " and realized it wasn't the right thing so I politely told the worker it wasn't right and was like oh I heard you say taco dinner not small burrito, when he was the one who told me the small burrito was their best seller. And pretty much told me I was wrong and he was right and wouldn't fix the problem. So after having a horrible day this put the cherry on top. Horrible service will never return.
