Want yummy well priced food that isn't a useless tourist trap? El Nopalito's is the PLACE TO GO!!! Leaving Galveston this morning my husband and I just wanted some simple breakfast tacos without waiting forever and paying a ton. El Nopalito's has delicious breakfast burritos which equal almost three breakfast tacos. They were absolutely delicious. The tortillas are extremely fresh and flavorful. We parked and called to place our order. We went inside 5 minutes later and left 3 minutes after that with our food. It was quiet inside with just a few people eating. This Mexican food place is a hidden gem! And a perfect place to get delicious food while avoiding tourist nonsense. read more

When you find a restaurant, that the police and firefighters are eating there almost every day, you know it has to be good. That is the story for this restaurant. My recommendations for what I have eaten, is the surprise breakfast burrito. It is loaded with everything and is more than a meal for only five dollars. The other item that I have eaten on multiple occasions is the Migas. I have had Migas for many years at several places, but this is probably one of the best I've had at a very reasonable price . Staff is very friendly and treat you like friends, overall I have not experienced anything negative that I can say about this place. TL;DR Eat here, you're welcome. The restaurant is off the beaten path near the coast. The exterior has a large mural painted on the largest wall for photos and selfies but the building itself doesn't offer much else. The food was delicious. My enchiladas were cooked very well, I say this because the chicken in the enchiladas was tender and not dry in the slightest and the tortillas were crispy even though they had the perfect amount of salsa Verde on top. Add a sprinkle of queso fresco and you're good to go. The rice and refried beans were fairly standard so not much to say about those. If you're in Galveston and looking for a solid meal outside of the tourist centric downtown/ Beach area, this is the place for you. read more

Our order took over 40min to be made. We only ordered 9 breakfast tacos, 40mins is a long time for that, we also only received 8 out of the 9 tacos ordered. We ordered 2 chocolate milks and the milk was sour. Very chaotic, place was a little sloppy/dirty, someone got sat on a table that had not been wiped. Big portions, aguas frescas(horchata, mango, fresa, limón) and so many good food to choose from chilaquiles, migas, pancakes, breakfast tacos, enchiladas, enmoladas, tortas, sopes, pozole, menudo, mariscos, tacos, carne de barbacoa, al pastor, bistek, chicharrón and more. The portions are huge, flavor is delicious, and the employees are so polite and friendly. They have two salsas available and the verde is my favorite. Anytime I order a burrito I ask and pay for extra sauce they always give me the wrong sauce and never give me my extras and my burrito isn't always fresh. read more

Came here for lunch while I was in town for an event and I was not disappointed! The portion sizes were enormous and the prices were awesome! We got the cheese quesadilla (the "half" portion - which was gigantic) and a chicken fajita salad. My boss got the beef nachos and we barely put a dent in the meal. Everything together was about $30. So sad! This used to be totally awesome food. Went yesterday and the service was terrible, the hot sauce tasted like tomato juice ( no heat at all!) , the corn tortillas were store bought, the food was only ok and we never got out flour tortillas. In addition to taking forever to take drink order, bring drinks, take food order, she got the most simple of orders wrong. She also never checked on us after bringing our food.
