Loved this little restaurant. Great food and service. Very clean, even restroom. Those who read my post now how much I love Mole and the Mole here is really good! The waitress was so sweet I gave her another tip as I left. Oh and salsa was 5 star! read more

Casual place, very clean, and service is friendly. You also don't need reservations even on Saturday night. The fluorescent lights are pretty harsh but it is well lit. Be sure to ask for the off-menu specials like the coconut milk seafood soup. I like the chips but I'm not a big fan of the salsa. Tasted dull and overcooked to me. The coconut seafood soup was a hit with my party although it was a bit fishy for my taste. The garlic shrimp was quite good and the Viagra cocktail was very good and fresh tasting but the tomato dressing was too sweet for us. Overall this is a solid restaurant. I would recommend it for a decent meal at a reasonable price. read more

Very good lunch, lot of food for the price. Very nice place. Flautas lunch and quesedia were both very good.

Nothing went right at our dining experience no frozen margaritas because somebody might've forgot to turn the machine on. We got margaritas on the rocks which was hot and it was only a few pieces of ice. I asked for a glass of ice didn't make it taste any better I got a glass of water again only a few pieces of ice in it. Service wasn't very friendly and the food is mediocre. It was a wasted dining experience.I'm read more

Our family decided to visit after reading a previous yelp review. It's very simple and understated inside, but the staff is kind and friendly and the food is delicious. Portions were appropriate, with some being a little bigger than others. It's nothing fancy, but the food is good! read more

My husband and I are TX locals and we love visiting the island. We always opt for non-touristy bites and drinks and vibes. We found Los Patrones and it was exactly what we were looking for. No-frills, ice cold, beer, delicious food, and great service. The salsa Verde is top-tier, and between the queso, enchiladas, beef fajita taco, and giant burrito we had between us, everything was very very good and very very fresh. This will be a reoccurring spot for us with future visits to the island for sure. read more

Very bad! Beware! I ordered fried tilapia and it wasn't fresh, it was spoiled. In the seafood platter, the fish fillet and shrimp were raw, they still needed cooking, and on top of that, they didn't add any salt to any of the food we ordered; it was completely bland. read more

I'm from California and eat a lot of Mexican food which I consider the best I'd ever had until today. Los Patrones is a quaint little restaurant, nothing fancy but it's extremely clean. Clean, reasonably priced, and delicious food! Breakfast ends at 11. We were a tad disappointed but only till we received our lunch! We had the beef fajita tacos on flour - delicious! Great flavor and big chunks of meat. We shared snd were full. The small queso and guacamole aren't tiny. We had more than enough for two. Loved the thin, homemade flour tortillas! Guacamole was freshly made. Chips were toasted and the salsa verde was awesome but too spicy for me. We had tea and water but saw some huge micheladas being served on our way out. We'll go again for breakfast. Very clean, bright and inviting. Annie was one of our two waitresses, both impeccable with timing and refills on tea, water & chips. Go see them! read more

Great hole in the wall place! I'm pretty sure they have the BEST salsa around. Very impressed! The green sauce and queso were also delicious but the salsa will rock your socks off. I tried a few different things getting the combo plate; tacos, enchilada, rice beans. Everything was tasty. The margs were excellent, especially for $3 at happy hour! Our server Jake was also a top tier item to mention. He was so helpful, so friendly, and perfectly attentive. My only gripe would be the lighting which is silly but hey, could be better! Fluorescent lights are never wanted. Looking forward to future meals here! read more

First timer- the place was empty but very clean and we were greeted immediately by a very nice young lady. We ordered tortas and a gordita to go; chips and also were included. Everything is fairly priced and the food was delicious! The salsas and the food were very well seasoned- wish we had tried more items! Definitely your go to for Mexican food! read more

Wow is this food delicious! If you're on the island, stop by for some insanely flavorful and authentic Mexican food. Can't go wrong with shredded chicken tacos or any of the many variety of enchiladas. The chipotle fajitas are highly recommended as well! The chips, salsa and queso were great! Salsa was too spicy for my kids but they devoured the queso (and provided entertainment for others in the restaurant haha). Margaritas are wine based, but decent. Next time I'll order a $2 beer for happy hour. Margs are $3 - so cheap! Don't judge a book by it's cover. Go inside, ignore the sketchy shopping center exterior. The food is worth it! The customer service is also wonderful- the waitresses were hustling and providing great care. read more

This place was good! They are in a little strip mall so there is parking. We were seated right away. Big portion and reasonably priced. Salsa was not too spicy but good. Service was great and very friendly. Had quite a few tables and was roomy. Bathroom was nice as well. read more

We ordered from Door Dash 2 times recently over the summer, and we have loved everything we have tried. Everything is packed with care, like the extra sauces and guacamole, etc. The food arrives hot even delivered. They use high quality ingredients - the meats & cheeses, and even the pico de gallo is superb. We kept raving about how everything tasted delicious. I thought their mixed (half chicken and half beef) quesadillas were my favorite until I tried the beef fajita chimichanga. Have not had one in years, but something made me want to try it -- and it was just so fresh and not greasy at all -- plus stuffed full of goodness. Their queso - you choose what you want in top of chimichanga - was a great touch and they sent both red and green salsa too. We also thought the sides of rice and beans were amazing too. We definitely are putting this on our list of favorite local eateries ! read more

I've only been there once and I was getting breakfast tacos to go. The tortillas are fresh and homemade. Potato, egg and cheese was spot-on. They use the orange cheese, not white. 2 salsa options are both very tasty. The green has some kick, the red is mild. Prices are reasonable and the patrone at the cash register is muy simpatico and muy divertido. I'll be back to try a sit-down meal soon. read more

I had dinner here last week for the first time. Yelp had the location on the other side of the street. The restaurant is actually on the north side of Broadway (Gulf side). They have their own parking lot in front and inside it's just one dining room. I was going to get the fajitas but they weren't serving any onions due to the recent nationwide salmonella scare so instead I ordered the shrimp kisses entree for $16. First to arrive were the chips and salsa. The salsa was kind of thick and taste wise it wasn't my favorite. I ate just a few chips and then stopped. A few minutes later the entree arrived. The kisses are grilled shrimp that are wrapped in bacon and stuffed with jalapeños and cheese. Along with it came rice, charro beans and pico with corn tortillas. No guac due to no onions being available. Again taste wise the shrimps were just ok. The shrimps were large enough and the bacon flavor was there but I still really didn't care for them. I did miss not having the guac too. My table service was good. This is a family owned and run business and I realize that Yelp scores are much higher but I can only give a 3 overall. I wouldn't mind returning but would try something else. Another negative for me was the salsa. Just not my style. read more

They must have changed owners / under new management recently. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Galveston for Mexican food, but today it was awful, and it wasn't just a bad day. It's very obvious their food has changed. The queso tasted like plastic and must have come out of a can. It was as yellow as this one star review and looked like jello. Their beans, which used to be delicious, were flavorless - like most of their food. Even the sprite and diet coke tasted watered down. They are either significantly cutting costs by lowering the quality of the ingredients or management / owner changed. Usually I'd give somewhere I second chance after having a bad experience, but this was just awful. read more

Oh my goodness! This restaurant was sooooo good! My go to at most Mexican restaurants is the flameado. It's one of my favorite meals. This was the best one I've ever had! I got the chicken and my son got the steak and both were amazing! Service was top tier! Our waitress was so nice and helpful. Our drinks were never empty. The restaurant was clean and bright! There are tons of windows and the day was beautiful so it was nice and sunny inside too! 10/10 would recommend! read more

On the way out of Galveston I really wanted some breakfast tacos but wasn't sure where to go. It was getting close to noon so I knew options might be limited. I came across this place on maps and decided to give it a try. When we first sat down the waitress handed us the menu and took our drink order. I was sad to see there was no breakfast on the menu but I wasn't going to give up. I asked if it was still possible to order breakfast and when she said yes and came back with the breakfast menu my tummy was excited. I ordered the breakfast burrito with eggs, cheese, beans and bacon. I am a lemon freak so of course I needed a side of them and they did not disappoint! I left feeling full, satisfied and ready to take on the day. The salsa and iced tea were also on point. Only thing I wish I saw sooner was the Mexican coke, but I will be back for this order next time I'm in Galveston. read more

Service was horrible! Food was good but was not enjoyable due to the Service. Our waitress was so rude. Kept rolling her eyes at us like we were bothering her. At one point, basically threw down a plate of rice asking of we still wanted it. 20 minutes after all of our other food had already been delivered. read more

Don't even think about giving the location or the interior a second look. You would be happy to walk through hell to get here after you've had a meal. We LOVED it and it's super affordable. The staff were fantastic and friendly too. Genuinely kind and personable. I had the shrimp with poblano sauce for my birthday dinner and now I can't stop thinking of it. Rest of the family had fantastic food too. Don't miss the guacamole, chimichanga or the burritos. Someone PLEASE get me the Pueblano sauce recipe, I can't keep driving all the way from Conroe for it! And what is going on with the refried beans??? Ah-mazing! read more

Stopped in this little place on the way into Galveston. Oh my, what a gem. The staff is all very warm and friendly, has a total family owned authentic feel. The server/ may be the owner stopped several times to chit chat with my toddler. He did magic tricks and animal sounds. It was so nice. It's so nice to have a different option other than just fast food when we come down. Hubby ordered the supreme burrito..wet... he def recommends. While I got the chicken flautas. The flavor was authentic and delicious, the flautas had the perfect crunchhhh and the beans and rice it be side were good too. There was queso fresco, avacado, lettuce and salsa (non spicy) on top which made the taste even better. was a lot of food and the prices were unbelievably low. I love supporting local business such as this one. read more

Service was great, the young lady who took our order was very friendly and attentive. I don't know how to describe the food other than fantastic.
