El Nopal Dip

I have been going to El Nopal for years and the chicken or shrimp soup is wonderful when you are feeling under the weather. Both my husband and I will make the trip for the other when we are down with a head cold. We call it "magic soup". Everything else on thr menu is fantastic. This night Carlos was our server and he was so attentive keeping our chips and drinks full. Our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area.

As this location is in a strip mall, the parking lot can be congested. I was in the mood for margaritas and a quick bite, and with this being the closest mexican restaurant, I came here. Service was great, and the music was a vibe. I ordered a pitcher of strawberry margarita. Taste just fine, and I felt it was priced right. It was about $24 and shared between 2 people. I think we both got 3 pours out of it. Chips and salsa taste good. I ordered the Speedy Gonzalez during lunch. You get 1 taco, 1 enchilada, and 1 side. I had a beef taco and shredded chicken enchilada with beans. Deep in conversation, I forgot to take a picture. I'm not a fan of the food. It's very bland to me. There are not enough spices in the meat for me. The green sauce, I believe Verde, was good. I guess there are not enough spices in the meat. I would come back for the drinks only.

A local favorite for Mexican cuisine. Meet a friend for dinner and a catch up of life. Upon arrival was created promptly and shown to a table. Was a little before 5pm so early and there was no crowd. Clean and spacious dining area. There is also a separate bar area at this location. Ordered a margarita (which was so good that I had a few!), cheese dip and Pollo Jalisco. The chicken with chorizo is so good with all the cheese sauce! Always a favorite!

Chips and salsa still warm!

My burrito was bland and boring. Service wasn't very friendly. Overall, not a good time. I wont be back.

Been going here for over 20 years. Kitchen has returned to glory days. Added some new servers. Jose still is the best server.

Welcome to Mission...I mean Session Taco! Some oldies on the menu and some newbies on the menu!…read moreThis visit for lunch, tried a few newbies and they did not disappoint! Crab taquitos are creamy and rich. The crisp outside provides a good contrast to the filling. Very tasty! The chicken fajita quesadilla is bit more fajita than chicken, but seasoned well and balanced with the cheese. The Big A** Nacho, I swapped chicken for the Chorizo. It reminds you of a thin and crispy crust pizza. It's quite good with the beans, cheese, sour cream drizzle. It's big enough for 2 to share or 1 person to eat 1/2 and take some home. Session does a good job turning the orders around quickly for the lunch hour, but you might need 1hr and 15 min to safe. Enjoy!

I visited with some coworkers who raved about the Mission/Session Taco experience. Sadly, I can't…read moresay I felt the same way when I left. We started with an assortment of chips and dip. The guacamole was the only decent option, in my opinion - the queso had no flavor and tasted like straight Velveeta, while the salsa was very watery and tasted of straight cilantro (and I normally like cilantro, but this was... a lot) Tacos came out and they were cold. The flavors themselves weren't bad, but it was nothing spectacular. The street corn was also decent, but not great. It was *very* charred. I didn't try any of the drinks, but those in our group agreed the margaritas weren't good. I'm not sure I'll be back. It's too bad, because it sounds like prior to the rebrand, this was a great place.
