The Food: * The Rice (10/10): Hands down the most amazing rice I've ever had. I honestly wish I could have bought a container to take home. * Red Chicken Enchiladas: The mole flavor was delicious and very authentic. You will not be disappointed. * The Beans (7/10): To be honest, they weren't quite up to my standards this visit as they were a little dry, but I'm not letting one fluke batch reflect the whole establishment. A Few Tips: There is plenty of parking, and the portions are very generous. Yesterday, I went to this eatery around noon. It is located in the strip mall next to a 7-Eleven store. It has a very small seating capacity. The female hostess/server was friendly and accomodating. Someone was always cleaning and clearing out the tables. There were persons eating mostly Menudo. My friend ate the Menudo and she said it was not flavorful. I ordered the Ham torta without cheese but it has lettuce, tomato, and avocado. I am glad that it did not have beans. They toasted my bread well as I requested. I had it with their homemade Jamaica. They served the Menudo with a tiny cup of chili oil and homemade tortillas. read more

Best menudo in Orange freaking County hands down On god baby girl. The other items I've had like tacos and enchiladas are all right but the real star of the whole show is the menudo cus it's all around just delicious. The balance of flavors and ingredients hit just right. I know some folks also talk highly of some of their other dishes but it's hard to not go with the menudo every time. Found this spot a couple months ago to pickup a quick caldo de pollo to go for my sick daughter as I was just getting out of work and didn't have time to make one myself and then yesterday we went to sit in and I got a menudo which did not disappoint and my husband got a caldo de res which was just as good. You get homemade tortillas and great salsas. Great service and good food what more can you ask for. Oh....and of course I forgot my purse and wallet there and went the remainder of the day not knowing but when I called the next morning they had it and everything in it. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, this is the place. The dishes are delicious. We had the meatball soup (albondigas), and the steak dish with rice and beans. I have to admit I've never tried a place that has had good food and with food tortillas. The tortillas I have to say are the best I've had (in the US). Our compliments to the cooks for the taste of the food, the restaurant owners for the cleanliness of the restaurant/kitchen. We were able to see the kitchen because the bathroom is in the back of the restaurant of which you have to walk through the kitchen. Lastly the drinks (aguas frescas) are pretty good but a bit watered down for my taste. Overall this place is worth your money. Support this local business, with quality food, and quality kitchen. I purchased $70 worth of food and when I asked the employee for two hot sauces she wanted to charge me for the sauce. I literally spent almost 70 bucks in food and you're gonna charge me for it! They only gave me one sauce for all four dishes I purchased?!? It's extremely disappointing. let's hold the owners accountable here, the cashier said if she would give me two extra sauces they yelled at the employees. How dare you charging extra for hot sauce.. One cannot go and not have their menudo, I'm not big on menudo but this menudo is like no other menudo, it's just perfect, fresh, tasty, you won't have to add anything other than the condiments . The service is friendly and fast considering the place is very small and packed all the way out the door, a whole lot of people come in here, especially on the weekends . Amazing food. My party was a group of 3 and about 3 other parties were waiting for their food when we arrived. They took our order quickly and food arrived at our table about 15 minutes later. Not bad for going during the busy lunch hour rush. I saw everyone's food coming out and thought to myself wow I want to try everyone's food! Make sure to have cash ready as they don't accept other forms of payment. The Menudo had a satisfying beef flavor, but also very light. I didn't know about this place until I saw someone mention it on a local forum, and man I'm glad I had stumbled onto this post and decided to give this place a try! This place makes really good carne asada burritos and agua frescas. The first time I went, they had a cantaloupe agua fresca and man, after drinking that, I dreamt about it... It was that good! I'm not sure if this place is related to the other place with a similar name that I reviewed, but the food quality was very much on par in my opinion. This place is located next to a 7-11 I believe, and there was enough parking when I went, though the plaza itself was a bit difficult for me to get into (I think I missed an entrance and had to make a U-turn or something like that). The food was delicious! I had the Pozole, and the broth tasted great, and the flavors were rich and flavorful, and they complimented each other nicely. I tried some of my friends Birria and the soup was strong and bold, but also very delicious and enjoyable. My other friend had some sort of meatball soup, and the broth for that was good but the meatball itself was passable. The tortillas here are really good, they taste soft and chewy and I think they are homemade. I also enjoyed the frescas drinks we ordered, I had the tamarindo and thought it tasted great, with a good balance of sweet and sour. My friend's pina and horchata also tasted great, and didn't feel watered down like some other places. The pricing was also great, I think the food was around $6-8 and around $2 for drinks. We drove over to the place, come to find it's a little hole in the wall, I don't mind holes in the wall, because I judge an establishments based on other factor, such as cleanliness, customer service, functionality, and quality of food. So here it goes, the place is not that clean. The establishment is not very functional or efficient. The one and only time we came, everyone was complaining about the time. An hour later our food that was to go, came and it wasn't even the meat I requested. Lets not even talk about customer service.
