This high traffic tapas restaurant was right around the corner from our hotel, so Jamie W and I knew it was just a matter of time before we tried it. Just too damn convenient and relatively popular. We stopped by just as they opened, and the hostess seemed quite perturbed we didn't have a reservation. She gave us a table in a high traffic area where people kept grazing us as they walked by. There was a lot to consider on their menu, and we were unsurprisingly pretty famished. We started with the 8€ Amanida and Mozzarella, a nice salad starter with cherry tomatoes, walnuts, radicchio, and pesto (photo: https://yelp.to/tdL5BOfB6Q). The 3€ Coca Bread with Tomato and Virgin Olive Oil came soon after providing a nice complement to the salad, four toasted wedges with a roasted tomato spread (photo: https://yelp.to/uYWYbMfkZT). Making more of a statement, the 8,50€ Roasted Meat Cannelloni consisted of one tubular piece of pasta overlaid heavily with melted cheese (photo: https://yelp.to/2oPIwMaN-y). The 6,50€ Grilled Green Asparagus with Romesco Sauce came as something of a relief after all that cheese (photo: https://yelp.to/t0ki4f4Mz0). Our last two plates were the most satisfying starting with the 10,50€ Grilled Squid ladled liberally with pesto (photo: https://yelp.to/Fv4PZXYV1d). The 14,50€ Oxtail Stew was the richest dish of the night with a velvety sauce covering big, tender chunks of beef (photo: https://yelp.to/CYqCtEr213). By the time we finished our dinner, the place was packed, though it was primarily groups of what I presumed were work colleagues debriefing after their various meetings in local offices. Jamie and I were just tourists on our way to see the light show at Casa Mila. FOOD - 4 stars...solid tapas as expected AMBIANCE - 3 stars...bustling and somewhat overcrowded SERVICE - 3.5 stars...efficient enough, not that personable TOTAL - 4 stars...I'd make a reservation if I were you RELATED - Exploring Barcelona? Might be biased because a lot of the servers were Filipino here but we thought this place was great! We made a reservation so we were seated quickly (we went around 6pm) and the place was still pretty empty. Food: We ordered mostly tapas and they all came out quickly and were very yummy. Our server also explained to us anything we had questions on (since we're tourist and wasn't sure which ones we had to try) Def try their cava sangria! Super refreshing!

Walked inside there were only 4 tables seated, about 20 empty. We were asked if we had a reservation, we asked if we could make one and were given a corner table. Assorted menu looked appealing & diverse. We waited :10 noticing no one had any food and watched a couple walk out. We left as well.

I like the vibe and the view. A good place for some drinks. But two things I didn't like were the temperature and the food. It was August and it was hot, and it felt like 85 inside. I tried to stick it out by drinking cold beer, but sweating while eating just feels gross. And second, the food is just mediocre and overpriced. This town has more amazing food than you'll ever experience, so the only way this place survives is by tourists. I tried a number of items and all were just okay.

Just a good place. Serves both locals and tourists. We even found coffee for old fashioned filtered coffee maker.

All the donuts are all handmade and it was hard to choose just two to try. My friend got a matcha one while I went with Oreo. Both were absolutely fresh and delicious. They both had a white cream that oozed out after you take a bite. Very good! We also got coffee there too which was pretty decent.

Located on Carrer del Torrent de l'Olla, essentially an ally with clotheslines hanging overhead and access limited to those traveling by foot or bike, it was just prior to 11h00 that a party of two entered the small space where an English-fluent couple was chatting and enjoying Coffee, the same server present as during the first visit immediately complimenting one guest's T-Shirt featuring a Pig and thus kicking off a lengthy five-person conversation about the movie Okja on Netflix. Small and homey in its design, a single glass case of Donuts on the counter in front of an Espresso Machine with a small plastic Pig and map of Greece the only real decorations aside from colorful seating for four, it was after weighing both the choices and remaining appetite that the decision was made to invest in three Doughnuts plus a Chocolate Frappe, the drink cool and creamy but unfortunately overwhelmed by unsweetned Whipped Cream which made the last several sips mostly undrinkable. Moving on to the Donuts, Rings and Holes of several traditional flavors in addition to a few novelties offered next to Bagels, it was with two filled choices and one topped in sweetened Tahini and crushed Pistachios that the order was comprised, the bases all identical with an egginess reminiscent of Brioche while the toppings and fillings were all quite good, the Sugar and Raspberry Jam far lighter and more natural than many found Stateside while the Dulce De Leche pocket featured thick Caramel beneath Vanilla Glaze and Cinnamon Streusel.
