Our pre-ordered meals were not ready, food was coming out at different times, it was total chaos. We were missing meals as well. We had to leave for a scheduled show, and yet not everyone had received their food. A solution for one person was to give them their pizza to go. We believed we would receive a fresh hit pizza, but we were greatly mistaken. We were given a pizza that was sitting out for 20 minutes, they threw on some cold Prosciutto and they thought this was acceptable. Walking down the packed La Rambala we were starving. Was hoping to find an off the path place, but hunger won and we stopped here with my wife, and kids ages 18 and 13. When you arrive you seat yourself (we sat outside) and order at the counter. They then buzz you when food is ready. I should mention this is all Italian food. My wife and kids ordered a cheese pizza, 2 pies good for three people. I have the rigatoni in a carbonara sauce. Everything is made fresh and had a good, not great taste. My pasta was better than the pizza, but all was ok. They have a full bar as well. Think Olive Garden but no table service and not quite as yummy. Ok read more

The good: this place has a very wonderful, clean and inviting ambiance. You enter and are given a credit card in which you hand off to the chef to swipe your order on. It's a like a cafeteria set up where you pick a tray and request your pasta directly from the chef. They cook it In front of you just to your liking. Once done you take your credit card to check out and they charge you upon exiting. The bad: there isn't one in my area.... Trip to Spain, anyone? The ugly: we failed to try dessert or any beverages from the bar. We did notice a lot of birthday celebrations going on with the help of a very cheerful staff. I was walking around after visiting of Casa Batillo. Didn't kno wwhere I am going, crossed the huge street, went into this pretty restaurant. The first impression was like Am I in California? The place reminded me so much of nice upscale place in LA, but better. You get a card from the hostess, then you can order pasta or drinks, add to your card. Cool system. We were walking along the street and found third restaurant. Although we have one in Charlotte, my group was hungry so we Stores here for a quick lunch. I had the kids bolognese which was really good. It didn't take long to cook and the pasta was perfect. My other party split a pepperoni pizza. They stated that the pepperoni is quite spicy so just beware if your used to milder pepperoni. The place looked nice and welcoming with extremely high ceilings. The restroom was clean. By 2020, I predict there will be a vapiano on every street corner..or at least there should be. Where do I start. I dined here at the barcelona location while on vacation. I had the pesto pasta and the next time I went (definitely not 2 days later.....) I had the bolognese. Both excellent. I loved this place so much because the pasta was made right in front of you and the chefs were super nice. Yes, that's all it takes me make me happy. The sauces were not overly salty which I also appreciated. I cannot rave enough about this place. If you are ever at the diagonal mall in Barcelona, it's a done deal. Go to Vapiano. read more

Vapiano is a chain that i seem to go to every time I'm around it. I've tried it in Chile and Mexico, and the quality is pretty consistent along with the menu and service. This location is new and pretty large, and maybe not well known since it wasn't busy on a Sunday night. The ordering concept is different here, you get a card, order the stations, the card is charged, and you pay when you leave. I usually get pasta but i tried the pizza this time. It's a large pizza, around 12", but thin crust. The pesto and spinach pizza, comes with tomatoes on top and on the lighter side of sauce. Overall, it was fine, the crust not too crunchy, but i feel i prefer the pasta more. read more

My friend and I stopped here because we were borderline hangry and needed to eat something quick!! She recognized this restaurant as there's one in New York City. A brightly lit establishment with ample seating, we were informed how to order and given time to decide what we wanted to eat. Pasta, pizza, salad, etc. we started with a glass of wine. What I enjoyed about this place is they have alternative options readily identifiable on the menu. Gluten free and vegetarian options are available for entree and dessert. I had the chicken Alfredo risotto with a mini salad. The dish was good but i need a bit of s&p and red pepper flakes for my liking.
