This was the best Tres Leche cake!
    Dan J.

They make the best tres lichee cake!!! Our go to for birthday cakes. They had 10 or 12 cakes to pick from and personalized it quickly. The service was great.

Staff very friendly. Nachos and quesadilla were really good. They have a "salad" bar, so you can take onions, cilantro and other toppings and sauces for your tacos. Três leches and flan were delicious. They do not have beers and liquors.

The cakes here are always amazing. Every time I need a cake I just go and pick it up, they never disappoint. And all the designs are so pretty. They are always friendly and checkout is a breeze. All I can say is if you enjoy tres leches cake give them a try and if you are lactose intolerant like me, have a box of pills nearby to consume alongside the cake! You have been warned !

I came here after a long day at work and I felt that I needed to celebrate. I didn't know if it was because there were many birthday cakes on display at this bakery/restaurant, or if it was something else. I ordered a guava juice (natural) and that alone made me happy. I ordered the "Pollo a la Mexicana" and it was good also, although I would've appreciated more heat (spicy jalapeno peppers and/or others). The chicken was a humongous plate, it almost looked like a platter for sharing. This place had corn tortillas and a salsa bar with lots of choices. It was really impressive and they had very good flavors. The place is pretty clean and there are lots of tables. The people here are very nice and they are always checking on you. I felt very comfortable here. There is not that much traffic as in other restaurants, and that is fine with me. The menu has unique dishes also. It is a nice place all around.

I've been coming to this restaurant for a long time. Their food is really good and the place is always really clean. I really like their chilaquiles, it's an authentic Mexican dish and they do it best in apopka. The tortas "Mexican Sand-which" are really good, and they offer many meats you can choose from. The burrito was really good as well, with melted cheese on top. They also sell tres leches which used to be the best but recently they have been extremely dry. Overall, this is a good place to try out for a different variety of Mexican dishes you don't normally see in Mexican restaurants around the area. The servers are nice. They do get very busy in Sunday's so be ready to wait a little bit!

In my opinion, this is the best place for authentic Mexican food in the Apopka area. Their torta sandwiches are a particular favorite of mine. They are also attached to a bakery which makes wonderful cakes. Tacos, Tortas, delicious Salsas and treats all made in house don't disappoint at this no frills lunch spot.

This is my second time here, the first visit was OK I believe I ordered rice with beans and maybe some type of meat. But the second time I was invited by a friend and told to order a type of sandwich called a "TORTA" which is a Mexican style sandwich. I should've ordered grilled chicken instead I decided to order sausage. Nonetheless the sandwich was delicious, it was season properly, it was perfect temperature, and the sandwich was very big. I would come back here again but I would probably order something different just to see how well they are with other variety of food

I've had a few cakes from here & they never disappoint! They are AMAZING!!

Most AMAZING cakes!! I drive over an hour to get one, they look & taste amazing! They are moist, fruit is perfect. My party guest rant & rave everytime I have one!

    Perfect restaurant for birthday cakes.

Always good food. Tacos are amazing. I love the salsa/toppings bar. The only thing I'd say is use Milk for Horchata instead of water.

The service was okay, employees refused to speak English which is fine, thankfully I speak Spanish but I'm thinking about other clients who their only language is English. We ordered a cachapa, empanada, and burger. Everything came out at different times and the burger took almost 30 minutes. We were kind of in a rush, so a heads up about the burger would've been nice. They also ask for 20-25% tip which I think is too much considering we pick up after ourselves and get up to get our own napkins, utensils, sugars, etc. I work in the service industry and I only ask myself if they're getting paid below minimum wage. Obviously I still leave a tip because I appreciate what they do, it would just be greedy if the owners are paying their workers below minimum wage. Enough yapping, we ordered the cachapa with cheese, which came out cold and crumbly, it looked beautiful but the flavor was not there, I've tried many cachapas and by far this one was the least pleasant to eat. The burger didn't taste authentic at allll. It felt like more bread than anything. The empanada did not taste authentic at all, it was like the filling barely had any potatoes, it just felt like the flavors were not there at all. I will continue to order these items at my local Colombian restaurant, where they never fail. The best part of my visit was their latte, it was soooo good and made my day so much better. My son also got a reindeer cookie which he loved, it was beautiful. I cannot say I'll be back anytime soon, I'll definitely be open to trying them out again and seeing if maybe the experience will be better and not only about aesthetics or how pretty everything looks, but on flavor and authenticity.

The process: Nikki called soon after I placed my order online and I received a date within 3 business days to pick up, she also delivers locally for $5. I met her in the Church parking lot, she was easy to spot with a big smile and a shirt that read Nikki. She let me peek at some of the cakes she was delivering and let me tell you, they looked gorgeous. I just ordered again, this time the peach bundt cobbler. FACT: her online cake pictures look as good as her finished products.

It's such a cute spot, with an impressive selection of baked goods at very reasonable prices. The latte was delicious and piping hot--perfect for a chilly day. My first bite of the garlic chocolate chip cookie had me thinking, "No," but it quickly grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying the unexpected combination of flavors. Between the drinks and treats I've tried over multiple visits, Allyson A's Bake Shop has yet to disappoint. It's a must-stop whenever I'm in Mount Dora.

Light, airy, not overly sweet, and gone in about three bites flat. No notes. Tried the crème brûlée pastry too. Points for creativity all day. It's a cool concept and well executed, just didn't hit the same level as the cream puff. Still good, just not the headliner. And the iced tea deserves a mention. Strong. Like, actually strong.
