We're visiting gatlinburg and decided to get some Mexican food near Smokey mountain knife works! The service was fast and the food was delicious. The salsa was ok but could do with more of a kick. Affordable pricing and great music! read more

I've eaten better " Mexican food " at a Taco Bell. The chicken was cold, dry, and stringy. The Guacamole looked like baked on dog shit. The lettuce was brown and the beans were mush. Just drive by this place and go to Taco Bell. read more

Walked right in and was seated with no wait around 6pm. All the food was amazing, boys had beef tacos, shrimp taco salad, and the wife and I had the Texas Fajitas. The fajitas was so good and so much food that we couldn't eat it all. They worked around my sons food allergies with ease. read more

Meh. Overly greasy chilies rellenos, an uninspired chicken taco salad, meager and bland salsa. Good guacamole. We did take out and the people seemed very nice, but the food left a lot to be desired. read more

My favorite Mexican food in Sevierville! I am from Texas so I am picky about my Mexican food. The street tacos are my favorite.

My family and I love this place. Food is delicious and service is great. Very friendly staff.

i'm a little mixed on this review. The food and the service was excellent. The restaurant, however, is a little deceitful. I always have a shot of 1800 with my fajitas but they were out of 1800 and she suggested in 1942. I've been drinking tequila all my life and this was well tequila for $27. Also, they added a $33 fee because we had six people at our table. With the economy the way it is they are to be happy that we came in there and spent money and drink beer and have a shot of tequila. I just wish it would've been 1800 and some kind of well shit. read more

I am a Kodak resident and am a strong believer of supporting small businesses locally. Sometimes that is not possible. My wife and I have been wanting to try the food, and our Granddaughter was with us. Warning side 1, my wife got there 10 minutes before us, we walked in, no one greeted us, the blonde behind the desk totally ignored us. We found my wife and sat down. It only took 10 minutes for us to see our waitress. Chip and salso...Chip Average. Salsa watery, and just was not that good. We ordered and the food arrived in normal time. Nachos, granddaughter liked them. My wife ordered a Taco Salas with ground beef. She barely ate any. The bowl had ground beef that looked like it was soaked in grease. Frankly, if my wifr complains, it is really bad. I ordered Beef fajitas. When my food arrived, and the lady placed food on table, then walked away. I ordered fajitas, no tomatoe. Almost no onion, meat was tasteless, Guacamole looked like baby food (and only flavor was the heat) withy same consistecy. It only took the waitress about 10 minutes to check on us, and I asked for extra grilled onion. I ate one onion tyhat the waitress brought me, it was the best bite of the entire meal....A fricking onion. I spent over $50 for this meal. It was horrid. I know this is a harsh review, but extremely accurate. I have been in the Marketing industry for 27 years. I have done business with over 150 mexican restaurants, and have eaten in most. There have been a miscue here and the, but all combined do NOT equal how bad thios place was. I was going to say something to who I assumed was either the owner or manager, but she spoke almost no english and I decided just to leave since I just wanted to get out of the restaurant. We will never eat here again and will drive the extra 10 minutes down the road to the Mexican Restaurant we usually go to. read more

They have the best molcajete!!! Good food with nice people. Give it a try if you are in town. They serve authentic Mexican food.

Below average food. Service was good but food was bland and little to no spice. I had fajitas and they were undercooked. Would not go back. read more

The food is good, but it is inconsistent at times. We have gone a couple time and the chicken would be quite tough and inedible. I just hope they can improve consistency, because their food can be really good. read more

I have tried a lot of Mexican food in tn but this is definitely one of my favorite. The beans and rice are my favorite of all I have tried. I love there Shrimp fajitas chimichanga. And there cheese dip with chorizo sausage is amazing. My family likes there el machete Burrito and the chips are good as well. I definitely suggest you eat hear if your local or just a tourist to Kodak in sevierville tn. They have a salsa bar in the restaurant where you can get mild to super hot depending upon your taste. The staff is friendly and helpful. But if you are worried about covid they deliver through grubhub. I hope you get a chance to eat hear. read more

This place is brand new(no really), from the floor toy the ceiling!! Authentic food, delicious! Service was excellent and ice cold beer we will be coming here again soon for sure!! read more

Fairly new place, first time here and found it a clean nice dining room. Food is delicious and obviously well seasoned. Service is good. Really no complaints here. Prices are comparable to other places in the area. I'd come back. read more

We ate here on Saturday and the empty parking lot should have been a clue as to how the meal would go. It took about 10 minutes for a waiter to finally come to our table to get our drink order. I ordered the Pollo Loco and the chicken was so tough as if it was old and had been reheated multiple times. Our waiter never came to refill our drinks and we had to actually take our glasses to him for refills while he was rolling silverware. There was only one other table of guests in the restaurant. We waited forever for our check and the waiter never came back to retrieve payment. Upon reviewing our check, they had added a gratuity onto it for a party of 6. Poor practice!! This is our second bad experience at this restaurant for bad service and thought since it had been about 6 months we would give them another chance but it was still horrible and we won't go back. read more

We tried El Machete this evening, the food was delicious, the service was good, and the portions were large.

It was the few days before thier grand opening when I stopped in to try out the bar area. This day it was mostly a storage area but bar items were available. The tv's that I wanted to watch were on over in the dining area. Got chips and salsa which was good. Beer cost too much for a happy hour time of day, 4 pm. They told me the happy hour specials were starting the following Wednesday. 'Folks in the dining area had good looking food on thier table and they seemed to be enjoying it. I was looking for a comfortable bar area to get a beer and something to eat after work. Kodak has needed a place just for that for a long time. Maybe this place will suffice. I'll be back. read more

Very clean and friendly. I little pricey and doesn't really offer simple dishes. Plenty of food just not as good as others I've tried.

Every time my wife and need a Mexican food fix, El Machete is the place we go! Very friendly service from Maria today...very reasonable pricing and never a long wait for the food preparation. I recommend the Chori-Pollo! read more

You know when the salsa isn't good to just leave. We didn't...worst Mexican I've ever had. Sorry!!!

Love this place, food GREAT, service GREAT try it, it's the best! I had the chicken and shrimp combo and loved it.

In the Sevierville pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg area this is one of my top three favorite Mexican restaurants. Large menu to choose from in very polite staff. Clean restaurant read more

Great find! The food was delicious, the Virgin piña colada was fantastic, and service was friendly.

The restaurant was very clean and good food! They serve only beer - no margaritas. The beer arrived in a chilled glass. We had the fajita nachos - very good! The chicken was excellent. Our server was very attentive and checked in often. His name was Victor. read more

It was a little pricey, but the food definitely made up for it. It was delicious definitely recommend. Five out of five stars.

Picked up for take out while traveling. Did not disappoint! Delicious, authentic and ready quickly!

Always terrible service. Most recent visit we were standing for 20 minutes and no one even attempted to greet us and give us a wait time/seating. read more

Food was very tasty, had a lot of flavor. Food was hot when it came to the table but cooled down quick. I told or server and she had the owner come to our table. I explained to him our food was very flavorful but not as hot as we like it. He apologized and said he is working with staff to make sure the food is cooked to order and delivered to the table as soon as it comes off the grill. He said he appreciated our feedback and seemed to be interested in what we had to say. The restaurant is new and I believe they are trying to provide the best food in this area. We definitely will be eating here again. This place is convenient to the Seymour/Boyd's Creek area. read more

We all had fajitas (steak, chicken, shrimp). It was good but nothing special. Not a lot of flavor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this new restaurant. My chori-pollo dish was delicious and my wife loved her burrito. We will be back. read more

First time trying out. Service was good. Food was absolutely wonderful. I had shrimp quesadilla and an order of cheese dip. Dip was more than you normally get in other Mexican restaurants. It was really good. The shrimp were seasoned well and veggies made it delicious. If you leave here hungry it's your own fault. Definitely will be back and as a regular. read more
