Great service, reasonable prices, friendly staff. One of the best Mexican restaurants in Southern WV. My faves are the jalisco pasta and the jalisco dip. However, their burritos are also pretty delicious. It's always a great go-to in the town of Montgomery.

Stopped in here for a quick bite after white water rafting all day. The place was on the way home and would be a great place to take a quick break. Here we got quick service, chips, and drinks. It was just what we needed. We all ordered something different and lots of piping hot food. It took a bit to get our food and we didn't get refills, but it was still a good place. I would stop back in there if in the area.

Don't eat here unless you like a little extra protein in your food. This was in the last of the salsa that was served to us.

We were a little cautious because the door was propped open and several floor fans were running. It was fine, plus the temps there were just high 70s. Our waitress brought us menus and water, then while we glanced over the menu, brought chips and salsa. I asked for hot salsa and a mildly hot one. My wife chose the Lunch Burrito with a side of Frijoles. I went for the Lunch Taco Salad, although I was a bit disappointed that I missed not seeing frijoles in the list of ingredients. However my ant thoughtful wife shared hers. Our food was fairly quick, enough time to polish off a tray of warm tortilla chips. My wife's burrito was excellent, spiced nicely with the hot salsa. I enjoyed my taco salad, even with the absence of beans. And of course my wife had to test the Churros. A pleasant experience overall and good food with fair prices. And good service. A definite plus for little Hinton.

I grew up in Tucson, AZ and I have travelled to Mexico many times. When it comes to authentic Mexican food, most (but not all) restaurants that are not close to our Southern border cater to American tastes. Pro Tip #1: If you want authentic Mexican tacos, they should be using soft shell corn tortillas and be topped with cilantro and onions with lime wedges on the side to squeeze on top. Look for the terms "street tacos" or "authentic tacos" and make sure they are topped with cilantro and onions. Pro Tip #2: If you like hot salsa, most Mexican restaurants will have it, but you have to ask if they have any hot salsa in the back. I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor (which is pork with spices and pineapple). They come on soft shell corn tortillas and are topped with cilantro and onions and have lime wedges on the side. Yay! I also ordered a lime margarita on the rocks with salt. The tacos were very good! I would order them again! My waiter was friendly and called me "corazón," which was sweet. Unfortunately, I accidentally found myself in Beaver, WV after having to avoid the last toll on the WV Turnpike, so I likely won't be able to come back to this restaurant. However, if I ever find myself back in this small town again, I will absolutely come back to El Mariachi!

The service was exceptional; I was able to speak comfortably in Spanish with the friendly waiter, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I was pleasantly surprised to discover such a vibrant and inviting place, so far from my home. My quesadilla was vegetarian, stuffed with a generous mix of fresh, crunchy vegetables like bell peppers, mushrooms, and onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Finding options with truly fresh veggies is usually challenging, so this was a delightful discovery. I would love to visit again if I ever return to the area.

The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy. My boyfriend and I come regularly because it's cheap, relatively healthy, and always hot and absolutely delicious with super generous portions. Well, I've got a bunch of negatives for this place, and only two positives. Somehow I think those…read moretwo positives are enough to pretty much balance out all the other negatives though. Although of course don't get me mistaken, if there was a choice, I definitely would not consider coming back to this place unless I had no other option. First of all, the service was pretty bad. They didn't really seem to care to pay attention when you walked through the door to seat you, my waitress barely spoke or understood English, and apparently you need to get up from your table and track someone down to be able to get a knife and napkins and anything else you may need since all you were given was a fork and a straw (since obviously no one pays attention to you even if you constantly look around and give signs like you're waiting on service). For some reason they decided that they would only bring my food out all at once. So I sat there munching on some usual complementary chips, while I waited for my appetizer, main course, and deserve to all be brought to me together. Which I kind of found a little weird. Definitely not the most convenient thing. The food itself was alright. Nothing outstanding, but decent. Honestly, everything was just a little too salty for me. Especially the grilled shrimps, which felt like they were coated in layers and layers of pure salt. Almost to the point where I continued them. I think if the food wasn't salty, despite it being pretty bland, would be pretty decent. Now that I put you through all of that, you may be wondering at last, what are the two positives! Well first of all, it's the price of what you pay and the portions you get. If everything else I said wouldn't matter to you, then this is definitely the place to come for a deal. It is extremely economical to eat here, as you got some outstanding value for your money. The second positive...churos! After my lackluster experience, I was so extremely pleased to have ended the night with this dessert. One of the best churos I've had. Crunchy yet still soft, fresh, very tasty, and topped with a slight cherry glaze.

We found The Burrito Bar in yelp and gave it a shot and think we found a bit of a hidden gem! Located just seconds from the main highway and the main visitor center for the National Park, once you get back into the area where the restaurant is, you would never know it. It is down a little gravel road and nestled in the trees with a bit of a view of the mountains. They had a very large outdoor area, and I think a small indoor area, but I did not actually go inside. Outside there was a bar, lots of tables and chairs and a very large stage for live music! There was a nice mix of sight see-ers, rafting guides, rafting tourists, and was nice to hangout with all and hear some good music. A lot of the guides loved sharing some of their things to see around the area which helped us put some other things on the list of things to do! Food and drink wise was just as good as the experience. They had a very large beer menu, as well as a full service bar with good bartenders. Food wise they had a lot of vegetarian options noted on the menu if you are looking for that but everything tasted very good. I had a pork burrito which was great and also had a bite of a steak quesadilla that was excellent! Nothing super crazy, but all of the food seemed to be real solid. I don't think you could go wrong with your pick! I don't know if we will be back since we were on vacation, but would encourage anyone in the area to give The Burrito Bar a try and have a nice relaxing meal in a cool spot!
