Stopped in on a random roadtrip through the panhandle. Looked at reviews and gave it a try. Outside looked a lil bit like a warehouse but once inside. Very well decorated and set up well. Prompt greeting and seating. Chips n salsa instantly. 241 beers and brewed Ice Tea. Chile toreados as Ap, were awesome and cost $2.50, great deal. Enchilada plate was plentiful and tasty. Lunch steak fajitas served on a skillet and had fresh mushrooms and squash in veggies as well! The steak was about the best I've had as it was served as a whole cut into strips over the top of the veggies. Not one piece of fat in any of it and the char was perfect!!! Very attentive staff and accommodating when asked for the "house made" hot salsa, which was great!!! Very clean inside and bathrooms were as well, always a good sign of they take pride in their restaurant. Even had a community wall with info on Autistic month displayed in foray. All in all, def would be back and def recommend this place!! read more

Very big restaurant in a small town and it was pretty busy. Quick service, but I've just had better Mexican food elsewhere. The vegetable quesadilla was good and flavorful but the spinach enchiladas, I'm pretty sure they were just spinach wrapped in a tortilla with no cheese or other flavoring inside so those were sort of boring. The quesadillas had more of a fajita filling so they were much better. Wouldn't be my go-to spot but it was ok and we got our food pretty quick. read more

I love this restaurant. I eat here about once a month and my favorite is the choripollo! Great staff, clean and recently remodeled.

I don't understand what happened to this place it used to be excellent now not so much. A lot of changes to the atmosphere but for some reason the quality and taste of the food suffered. The most egregious thing is having to BEG for napkins. Look you can get 1,000 napkins for 2 dollars yet this restaurant acts as if napkins are a national treasure!!! read more

For a small town outside of major Hispanic areas, it was not bad. The chicken chile relleno came with an amazing sauce and was excellent. The chicken was placed on top on the chile, not inside. Different, but it worked. The chicken fajitas were also very good, when some great grilled onions and other veggies. However the cheese chile relleno seemed to be topped with Velveeta cheese, which is a Tex-Mex style. Not my vibe. Both of the chile rellenos came a taco with a hard shell and bland chicken without sauce. The service was very fast and friendly. read more

Their food was perfectly cooked, seasoned and delivered. Not being from Mexico, I can't speak to how authentic it was but suffice it to say it was delicious. Everyone in my party of 4 was impressed. Is shameful how they pass the food off as Mexican cuisine. Having travelled abroad and having lived out West where real Mexican food is easily obtained, I am shocked at the food this place serves and calls it Mexican. Unfortunately, this is a small town and not a lot of the residents have had the opportunity to travel and live abroad and they think this is authentic Mexican cuisine. read more

Food was delicious! I had a steak fajita and my sister had the steak fajita taco salad and both were excellent. Our waiter was super friendly and everything was very clean. Prices were reasonable and the chips and salsa were so tasty! I'm looking forward to a return visit soon. read more

I was passing through Bountstown for business and it was just after hurricane Michael. Everything in town looked like a warzone but El Jalisco was hoppin for lunch! They had a great menu with all of your standard Mexican staples. I ordered the lunch fajitas. They came out hot and sizzling. Flavor was great and they included plenty of tortillas. My server was really nice and helpful. There was a chicken sandwich on the menu that apparently is really popular with all the locals. read more

I would definitely give them a big zero!!! Food has no flavor no seasoning fajitas I ordered literally tasted like burnt grilled no flavor whatsoever disgusting. My husband asked for margarita and they said they don't serve it with tequila what the heck they make it with wine seriously please don't insult your country by calling yourself a Mexican restaurant. Don't recommend when I questioned the waiter about the margarita with wine mixture she got really snippy and angry omg really . So I decided to order a orchata drink barf taste was so artificial plastic aftertaste with lots of sugar. This place is Soooo BAD I CAN GO ON AND ON once again feel really bad for the people that eat their regularly in that town. I went to High School in this town and I went to this restaurant at least once a week for lunch, it is THAT good. The food here is amazing. I honestly have never had anything as good anywhere else. The restaurant is clean and the staff is super friendly. If you have a birthday, make sure to stop in for lunch, they will put a hat on you and sing for you! It is already a small town, but they make sure their restaurant also feels home-like and they make sure to take care of their customers. I would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area or even just passing through town. You won't regret it! read more

We went for their bogo margs which only include their regular flavored margs not the specialty ones. We didn't really want the gross flavoring so our waiter told us they offer an unflavored marg which we ordered and it was straight tequila water. Not the place for true margaritas lovers but if you wanna get buzzed for cheap two margs for 6$ ain't Bad. The service was good but not with the trip. read more

On June 10,2018, my party of thirteen people was seated about 140pm. We ordered and proceeded to wait an hour and half for our food. When it came half of the orders were cold. What happened? Used to be good must have a new chef dissatisfied last time we ate here. The servings were scarce the food wasn't appealing flavorless, we were sooooo disappointed this time .
