Muy Wayne-O's is a local hangout so don't expect your typical Ameri-Mexican restaurant. The place is eclectically decorated and has that "all customers are old friends" vibe. We came in the off season so it wasn't crowded but full. Our drink orders were taken by the owners wife, and Wayne himself took our order. I had the BBB burrito and my wife had Dixie's Pollo Loco. Both were served with a bowl of rice and bean, and were seasoned perfectly. Wayne brought out 3 bottles of different pepper sauces and explained the heat level and flavor profiles of each. They were nicely spicy with a lot of flavor, not just heat. I had to go up to the bar to ask for a water refill but after seeing what this wonderful place was like, I had no problem with that. To see how customers and staff interacted, you could tell it was a place you just come in and enjoy. Oh, and the chips and salsa or queso are appetizers so don't expect them to be gratis as part of the meal. And they were delicious. We will definitely come back the next time we're in PCB. read more

Writing I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly terrible from start to finish. We ordered sweet tea that tasted sour, and even after letting the waitress know, it still took several minutes before anyone came back to ask what we wanted instead. When our food arrived, my quesadilla was extremely disappointing. It was literally made with frozen Tyson chicken strips, shredded sharp cheddar cheese, and a small packet of Daisy sour cream tossed on top. I took maybe two bites before I couldn't eat anymore. To make matters worse, we waited so long for our check that we eventually had to walk up to the register ourselves just to pay. Spending $64 for food and service of this quality is honestly ridiculous. This was easily the worst Tex-Mex restaurant experience I've had. Poor service, low-quality food, and completely not worth the money. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

We finally made it back to PCB and the first thing we did, before we even checked into our condo was to stop at Muy Wayne O's. We have been counting the days until we were able to enjoy their food again. If you have a big appetite and are not afraid of a challenge, try their Top Gun burrito. We have been here five days and my husband has had it twice! Their brisket is so tender and mouth watering that will want to take it home with you. The owners (and other staff) are welcoming and so genuinely happy to see you that it feels like coming home to family. Not Muy Wayne-o's but muy mal. Came here because of prior reviews. Ummm no thank you. Do not waste your money. Go to Taco Bell at least their food is hot. I had the burrito with chicken. Burrito came cold with maybe 3 bites of day-old chicken. Margarita tasted like water with some tequila. Staff was friendly, that's the very best thing abt it. This place was horrible. The Waitress put food down that we did not order. Then she brought it to use and we asked if she could take it back but she said that we ordered it we have to eat it. The inside is small and ran down. Then I ordered a burger and I said that the burger was not good and it was not beef but she said that is 100% beef. I had a lot of beef burgers in my lifetime and that is not beef. My dad said that it was probably horse because that is what they eat in Mexico. I do not recommend this place. If real cheese sauce and a basket of hot corn chips is what makes you love a Tex Mex spot, you have to come here and try this one! I had the cheese sauce on Dixie's Pollo Loco Burrito with Chicken & Rice and was surprised by how cheesy and creamy it was. I loved that the chips came out hot and the salsa was mild with a light sweetness that could be spiced up with some of the extra hot sauces provided. There is also a vegan taco option with spiced potato and corn as the base, but the pinto beans and rice were nice and spiced as well. Service is friendly and maybe you'll get a visit from Wayne O himself with your food order. Country music videos were playing on TV over the bar and some sports on another TV in the corner. Currently there's a bit of a construction mess in front of the restaurant for the new roundabout being constructed, but don't let that stop you from dropping in, it may be easier to get seated for a larger party than other spots in the area. read more

In town for the winter and my wife and I visited Muy Wayne O's for supper. They had a note on their specials blackboard requesting patience due to short staffing, so we were a little worried that it was going to be a painfully slow experience but despite only seeing two people working the restaurant by themselves we had a great experience with both the service and the food. We had chips and salsa, shrimp tacos and the BBB burrito. The chips were served still hot from the fryer with freshly made and very tasty salsa. The entrees were served quickly and delivered so hot they must've just come off the grill. Both entrees were delicious. The beans and rice were outstanding and I really enjoyed all three of the house made hot sauces. Our server was personable, super attentive and checked on us repeatedly to ensure we had everything we need. We overheard the table behind ours request fresh guacamole but they were unable to serve due to not having avocados that were of high enough quality (weather related from the snowstorm) - they were genuinely apologetic about not being able to serve the menu item. Most anyplace I've ever been that was out of something just stated they were out unapologetically / matter of factly. This place is an unpretentious gem of a restaurant and we will definitely come back several times before we have to return home. read more

This place is a hidden gem that is easy to drive right past. Delicious food! You have to get the chips and salsa- salsa is house made fresh daily and the chips are fried right after your order them, coming out hot and seasoned. Kids meals are good sized portions. My wife and I were in Panama City Beach and we walked by this place earlier and smelled them smoking brisket in the morning and I am a HUGE barbeque fan, so we came back a few days later on a Sunday. We sat at a back booth and when asked what we would like to drink, I asked "What kind of tap beer do you have?" "None" our waitress replied. Ohhh....And the only bottled beer available was nothing special. Ouch. I guess a Diet Pepsi it is. There is a pretty extensive menu, but I knew I wanted bbq, but there were only a few options with the smoked meat on it, so I got the fajita taco a la carte and my wife got a regular ground beef taco a la carte. She wasn't really hungry, so we brought that home. A ketchup and mustard bottle came out with the hot and the mild hot sauce, which was fine. The hot wasn't crazy spicy, but good. My taco was piping hot, plus one from the minus for the lackluster beer selection. It was really tasty, lots of sauce, so the smokey meat flavor didn't really come through. It was super solid though! The prices were a little steep, but you do get quite a bit of food with the taco, if you look at the picture. Lots of other places in the area to try, but I am glad we gave it a shot! The best place on PCB! The brisket is absolutely AMAZING! The staff are attentive and very friendly. We've MUST eat here every time we visit, and more than once at that. Any place that charges automatic gratuity for a party of less than 6 deserves to go out of business. Also charging for water is ridiculous. No posted signage anywhere about the automatic gratuity charge. Which is required by law to be posted on the menu and the bill. Asked to speak to a manager and was told no one was there. What a great place! We stopped in for a margarita while in PCB for Spring Break. The top shelf margaritas are hands down the BEST margaritas ever. We came back the next night for an appetizer and more margs. After seeing that they smoked their own meats when we were there before, we opted for the Brisket Fries (so good) and some chips and salsa. They brought a variety of salsas but the best was the smoked jalapeño salsa. So good that we bought a jar to take home with us.
