Wonderful service. Delicious food. We got the Vegetable Chaufa and the Talarin Verde with Chicken - both were flavourful. Portions are a decent size and they give a good amount of meat for each dish. I look forward to the roasted Peruvian corn that they give for a snack before the meal! The server was really friendly and patient - on our first visit he took the time to explain several items on the menu and answer the endless stream of questions we had. The food is so good that I'm always surprised to find it relatively empty and quiet when i come to eat here (but I can't complain about not having to wait for a table). read more

We had the piqueo crillo, lomo saltado on fettuccini, and the chaufa with chicken. My favorite of the appetizer platter was definitely the tamale. I loved the chaufa, though I wish it came with the yellow or green sauce on top. The fettuccine was great, the texture on the noodles was perfect. The restaurant feels warm, clean, and inviting. The staff were all very kind. My only complaint was that the service was disorganized, and it took a while for our order to be taken, to get to-go containers, and to get the check. I think this was mostly because a very large party was in the restaurant at the same time as us. I'll be coming back, I still need to try the ceviche. read more

There are many Peruvian restaurants in the GTA, but the ones in downtown tend to be more fusion / hipster. The more authentic ones tend to be more in the suburbs, and El Inka is no exception. They serve authentic Peruvian food in big portions. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, modern, and clean. They have a full bar and a good selection of Peruvian cocktails such as the famous Pisco Sour. Food-wise, you'll find the most common and classic Peruvian dishes such as different kinds of ceviches, causa (potato), arroz con mariscos, chaufa, lomo saltado, escabeche de pescado, tacu-tacu, and more. The large size of El Inka Salad came in a HUGE bowl that could feed a group of 4. The salad greens, shredded carrot, and red onion were nice and fresh, but unfrotunately the dressing was too creamy for me (should've ordered it with dressing on the side). The mains were great. Tacu-Tacu (rice with refried beans) was as expected. The mahi-mahi came as a big chunk of fish with nice grill marks - delicous and tender. The mixed seafoood had great sauce and seasoning. You can never go wrong with Arroz con Mariscos in any Latin American restaurant - well seasoned yellow rice with peas, carrots, and a boatload of mixed seafood (large tiger shrimps, small shrimps, mussels, squid, scallops). It was very flavourful and filling. The side sautéed vegetables, however, were disappointing. It consisted of broccoli, cauliflower, red and yellow bell pepper, and red onion - great mix, but WAY TOO SALTY. I think they used too much soy sauce. Service was great - all the staff were very friendly and attentive. The washrooms were clean and they had multiple stalls, as well as a gender-neutral and wheelchair-accessible washroom. El Inka is a great Peruvian restaurant that serves high quality, authentic food. The chaufa with seafood was a large portion and had a generous amount of seafood. I ordered the Peruvian sling which was great but very strong. All staff were very friendly recommending different options. They were all attentive and I was even able to practice some Spanish with them. The restaurant was moderately crowded, but not too loud. It's a nice change from chain restaurants, and I recommend it for a new experience. read more

August 4/2023: Birthday dinner for a friend with friends. This place was very busy. Every table was full with customers. We were a big group of 10 ppl but our reservation was seated right on time. Our server "Javier" was a very nice fella & explained the menu to us which of course in Spanish. I found the food to be tasty & the portion size generous. We had the calamari as a an appie ($16.00) & a Pisco Sour Cocktail ($22.00). Both were good but neither was great. For the main I had Jalea (Fried Seafood Platter-$26.00). Again....good but not great. Point of interest...1 bottle of San Pellegrino was $7.50 + Tax & Tip! I had a fork full of the mango cheesecake & it was delicious! There was nothing wrong with this meal or the service but this place simply wasn't for me. This is NOT a do over. read more

A good sized sit down restaurant in a commercial complex with plenty of parking. The food is outstandingly delicious and of good portion. They have a liquor licence and offer cold beers on top. I had the ceviche and bass fish on a yellow sauce, probably aji Amarillo. They lowered the lighting later at night for ambience. Background sound/ music is unnoticeable when having a conversation. The Ají de Gallina is my favourite dish having grown up in South America; it brings such comfort and familiarity. The Lomos Saltados is also very tasty as well. Went to El Inka back in mid-March and before their opening. Friends and I ordered some appetizers like calamari, grilled octopus, and ceviche. All were very delicious and fresh. We all ordered entrees as well. I had the Lomo Saltado which is marinated beef strip with rice and fries. Overall a very good experience and the food was amazing. Heard about this family restaurant on BBC and it did not disappoint! Well worth the drive from Toronto. I ran the menu by my Peruvian friend and he was impressed by the authentic classic Peruvian dishes offered. We ordered the anticuchos (veal heart) which was tender and flavorful, delicious with the homemade sauces! The ceviches had good portions, freshness, and great taste. Lamb was melt off the bone with the best savory beans! Staff were helpful and friendly and seemed to really take pride in their food :). Pisco sours on point! Everything about this place was great; service, food, environment. Not happy about their wrong labelling on the menu. Their food marked as "vegan" contains dairy, which makes it "vegetarian" and not "vegan." This is why I am giving them 3/5. Food allergies and specific diets are very serious, and someone with a dairy allergy might have had a real bad time due to the mislabeling. read more

You are in for a nice surprise. The food is amazing and the seafood is out of this world. Also the beef and lamb dishes are great. Bring a big appetite since the portions are huge. Try the pisco sour or the chicha sour. Their home beer is delicious and the service is excellent. You will have a great description from the waitress about every meal. Looking on Google maps to find something different to try, I found El Inka. Peruvian is something we never tried and we were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. As the waitress handed us the menu, she took time to explain the items and how they were prepared - very helpful. I finally chose Aji De Gallina which was a generous dish of shredded chicken with sliced potato in a very tasty yellow sauce and a big scoop of rice in the middle. It was delicious. My wife ordered Lomo Saltado which was cubes of very tender beef with vegetables in a salty gravy. Another very generous dish - She took half of it home. The saltiness was pronounced but not objective. We would order both dishes again. Service was excellent and very friendly. Prices were on the upper side of average, but the $71 + tip we spent was well worth the experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

This restaurant was part of the Taste of Burlington event going on, and since the fare was slightly different than other restaurants in the area, we decided to give it a try. The prix fixe menu included veal hearts as one of the options for an appetizer. It was cooked very well, and had a similar texture to some thin steaks - very tender. It also had a spice rub/sauce that had a small bit of kick. The waiter also brought us a few hot sauces (mild, medium, hot), which came in different colours and was visually appealing and quite tasty. The paella was different from Spanish paella - different rice and flavour, but it was still pretty good. The torte was also quite good; a good size to get your chocolate fix to finish off a meal! read more

Great service. Wine was good. Ceviches were all white fish based with the exception of one salmon one. Steak was a bit over cooked but had good flavour. Lamb was cooked well. For soft opening I thought they did well. A bit slow for food but the chefs are new. read more

Nice little place. Last Saturday of the month they have dancing. Food that I got was good, however the music is way too loud on the dance nights. You can't talk to anyone or you're just reading their lips as a response. Noise is excessive. You leave there hoarse. Waited 15 minutes to be told that they gave our table to a walk-in by accident and that we had to wait 1 hour. No apologies or other arrangements provided. Noticed patrons were getting antsy waiting for their food. Not much was coming out of the kitchen. We walked out and went to the new Turkish Restaurant on Brant. read more
