After passing by this place when I just ate tacos guz down the street, the smell was amazing and felt like I made a mistake going to the other spot. Came here the next night and man the food here was terrible and very expensive for a taco stand unless they ripped me off. Chorizo is garbage, Al Pastor was nasty but the Asada was okay. I wouldn't waste your feds here, just stick to seafood tacos like fish or shrimp else where. You would think Mexico tacos are better like how they use to be but Los Angeles has waay better spots than this.

Very good street tacos. Unlike Tacos Guss, they give a lot of filling. They charbroil food here, so the taste was a little more smoky than I'm used to. I liked their pico mixture, but without any sauces the tacos were a little dry. I like their little plastic seats and the cashier was very friendly.

Great tacos but open after 7pm and ramp up very slowly. There's no seating, but can sit and eat in establishment next door, but have to buy drinks. Or take your food to go. But, the tacos are very good including the salsa. They give you a lot of meat. Highly recommend.!Not as good as Pepe's or Pancho's in Puerto Vallarta, but not far behind on food quality, but of course, those two others places kick their ass on service and additional etc.

Fresh limes, all you want! Essential for an authentic Mexican street taco.

Taco lovers, take heed: this is the place you want to hit up when you're in Cabo San Lucas! El Gran Pastor is the very definition of the perfect authentic Mexican taco dive. What sets this one apart from the rest is the quality of the meat. This is excellent steak that isn't one bit chewy or fatty. If you go here, get the steak. My favorite menu item here are the open faced torta style tacos. Fresh flour tortillas are crimped and griddled, topped with a generous helping of melted cheese and meat. There's a small toppings bar with all kinds of salsas, onions, cabbage, radishes, fresh limes and more so you can doctor your plate up with as much or as little extras that you want. This is an open-air restaurant with limited seating. Most locals seem to grab their tacos and lean on the adjacent cars to eat. They don't open up until around noon so don't show up too early. We arrived at 10:30 am and just went down the street to Tacos Guss for a couple of appetizer tacos to kill some time before El Gran Pastor opened. Great street tacos for cheap. A must-dine for all foodies.

Pretty amazing and a must try! Only thing is you have to stand and eat or you can go to the bar next door and order some cervezas while eating yummy street tacos !

Over the course of an evening in Cabo San Lucas, my girlfriend was nice enough to indulge me in visiting three taco spots over the course of a few hours, and it gave me a unique opportunity for a three-way heads up review: 1 & Only Tacos Tacos Guss El Gran Pastor Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? As far as service and atmosphere were concerned, you had three different experiences across these shops, with Tacos Guss having the most robust array of seating, 1 & Only having a more mom and pop vibe, and El Gran Pastor being a simple stand. All were fine, but I was most impressed with 1 & Only, who couldn't have been nicer. 1 & Only Tacos: Star (1) Tacos Guss: Star (1) El Gran Pastor: Star (1) Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? You had three pretty different price points across the three shops, with 1 & Only coming in at $1.00 each, Tacos Guss coming in at $1.35 each, and finally El Gran Pastor $2.00 each. El Gran Pastor had the largest tacos, but what was most impressive was Tacos Guss full spread of peripheral toppings. 1 & Only Tacos: Star (2) Tacos Guss: Star (2) El Gran Pastor: Star (2) Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? I'm a sucker for Al Pastor, so I ended up getting it at all three spots in addition to Fish and Asada tacos at 1 & Only. The tacos at Tacos Guss won the day here, with fresh and flavorful pastor that was out of this world. 1 & Only came in second with exceptional fish tacos, pretty good chorizo tacos, and a good pastor taco, and finally El Gran Pastor, with mediocre pastor and decent peripherals. 1 & Only Tacos: Single Star (3) Tacos Guss: Two Stars (4) El Gran Pastor: Single Star (3) Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? I would absolutely eat at Tacos Guss every single day, and the folks at 1 & Only and the range of meats was enough to have me coming back often as well. El Gran Pastor was the odd man out here, but that's not to say that they weren't good tacos. 1 & Only Tacos: Star (4) Tacos Guss: Star (5) El Gran Pastor: No Star (3)

They bring you out a tray full of different toppings and sauces (careful one of the green ones is quite spicey). The service was good and the food was better. This place is cash only so I'd encourage you to make sure you have some $$$ on hand (they did accept USD). The reason for the 4 star vs. 5 star is due to the restroom situation. I don't know how this restroom compares to the other restaraunts in the area, but its two small bathrooms and a sink outside. The sink you have to touch a little knob underneath which doesn't seem the most sanitary...but at least they have a bathroom and some soap. We would go again for sure.

The space is small, but we were seated right away. We ordered carne asada, al pastor, and pescado tacos, plus a Bohemia beer, all for just $20 USD. While we waited, our waiter brought out chips with multiple salsa options ranging from mild to absolutely eye-watering, along with a full platter of taco toppings, which we didn't use. The moment I took my first bite, I knew this would be a regular stop if we're ever back in the area. The meat was tender, incredibly flavorful, and tasted fresh off the grill. Everything paired perfectly with the salsas and an ice-cold beer. Super glad we found this gem within walking distance of the pier, and this is one of those spots that'll stick with us long after our trip ended.

Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

We were recommended this place by our hotel (ME Hotel), so we came in with high expectations. What we ordered: *Two esquites *Two tacos *Beans *Two micheladas *One spicy margarita Our total came out to $150, which completely shocked me. The place itself does not have a high-end vibe or atmosphere, so the pricing just didn't match the experience at all. The service was nice, I'll give them that, but the food did not justify the cost. I've had way better tacos for way less. And trust me, I've had a lot of tacos in my lifetime. It honestly feels like this place is taking advantage of tourists with these prices.

The food came out cold and they overcharged us and we had to wait for an English speaking manager to come and fix the problem. I know that we're visitors but this is a well known establishment that has tourists visiting all the time, which was part of the reason why we visited the restaurant. But, we were seated pretty quick, but it still took approximately 20 minutes to take our drink order. Which were just a couple of buckets of beer. It took another 20 minutes for the server to take our food order. It then took another 30 minutes for the cold tacos to arrive. Like I said, plenty of staff holding up the wall and walking around and also plenty of empty tables. But then they over charged us and we had to wait another 30 minutes for an English speaking manager to show up to fix the issue, even though we had fluent Spanish speakers in our group. You know that I don't particularly like leaving a bad review but I don't care if it's in a different country or not. Bad service and bad food are universal issues. The place is located in the heart of the walking area in the marina and they were always busy whenever we walked by in the past. Maybe we picked a bad day.

It's a bit of a walk from the pier, but still within a comfortable tourist-friendly distance. When we arrived, we were seated immediately, and not long after, a line started forming, so timing worked in our favor. The restaurant is fully outdoors under a covered roof, so be prepared for the heat. The menu is limited and posted on the wall without prices, which made me a little nervous about potential tourist upcharges. Still, we decided to go for it and ordered al pastor and birria tacos with cheese, plus a Pacifico beer. While we waited, our waitress brought out a platter of taco toppings along with consommé. When the food arrived, it instantly became a highlight of our trip. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the consommé and toppings. The chili oil paste on the table was no joke and seriously eye-watering. A couple things to note: there are no restrooms or sinks, so we relied on our wet wipes and hand sanitizer. Our total for six tacos and a beer came out to $30 USD, which was a bit higher than expected, and I do wish there had been clearer pricing. That said, it was an authentic, memorable experience and one I'm really glad we checked out.

There was some real competition for top meal, but this one ran away with it. It is a little up the hill and slightly off the main tourist path from downtown Cabo, but still totally walkable and well worth the effort. And if you can plan ahead, go on a Monday. That is when they offer the Molcajete special, which is reason enough on its own to visit. I also heard their steak night is fantastic, so you really cannot go wrong. The space itself is beautiful. The dining room feels polished and inviting, and there is also a charming outdoor area if you prefer fresh air over AC. We kicked things off with the tableside guac, which was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want to start a meal. Even better, they brought out a complimentary little starter first, which is one of my absolute favorite restaurant traditions. In this case it was two mini empanadas, one mushroom and one cheese. Truly a Sophie's choice situation because both were excellent - hubby and I split them in half. For the main event, we split the Molcajete Monday special. You can choose your protein, and we went with steak, though chicken and (I think) shrimp were also options. It came with both corn and flour tortillas if you ask nicely, all housemade. The portion was easily enough for two. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, sitting in a smoky, slightly spicy sauce in a traditional volcanic stone bowl. Absolutely delicious and one of those dishes you keep talking about long after the meal ends- and much to my travel companions dismay, I talked about it for many days after... Even though we were completely stuffed, I had already seen photos of the flan and could not skip it. We ordered that along with churros to share among four people. Do yourself a favor and skip the churros-- The towering flan is the star. Everyone at the table agreed it was the best we have ever had. A nearby table ordered the crème brûlée and looked genuinely jealous once they saw ours arrive. For what felt like a splurge night, the final bill was surprisingly reasonable, especially compared to US city prices. When you split dishes like we did, it feels like an incredible value for the quality. Treat yourself to this place. And if at all possible, go on a Monday. We almost went back a second time, which says everything. Bathrooms are also lovely, and there is an open kitchen. Service was great too. Treat yo-self!!!
