Another start to the day in Cabo with tacos. This was the most popular one we went to, and they have some pretty good food porno by the street with a huge roll of pastor on a rotating grill. Inside they have a whole production, a griller, a chopper and a nice lady making all the homemade tortillas. Pastor is the move here. I don't care how you order it, but order it!

Ok first of all let me say I have been researching this place for a few months now I finally got to try it on my own!! Omg!!! Had the baked potato asada , the macho taco that had the chili pepper inside it and a fish taco!!! Everything was excellent!! Got the extra guacamole in the mochajete !! Great!!! Service was great and the ambiance was a nice taco spot!!! I will put up a couple of pics!! Check them out!!!

Tacos are bomb

This place rocks ... the food was bomb.. service was bomb .. the beans and tacos and salsa were so good and reasonably priced .. we were in , fed , and out in less than 40 mins .. thoroughly enjoyed my time there !

After playing pickleball at La Huerta we asked for a lunch recommendation. Came here with another couple and ordered the guacamole to share then everyone ordered tacos. Pastor, shrimp and asada. I ordered the CHORREADA (shrimp/beef). They do not have liquor here so we ordered sodas. Everything was great. The condiments for the tacos was very nice. 6 salsas, cabbage, radishes, cucumbers, limes and avocado spread. Excellent. We all left very full. Later a little heartburn but worth it.

From the moment you get dragged in, El Paisa makes you feel like you should've shot straight in without the invite. The host sets a warm and friendly tone right away, and the service team is friendly, attentive, and clearly knows their food. You can tell they care about what they're serving and are happy to guide you through it. The open kitchen is a big part of the charm - watching everything cooked fresh adds to the authentic, local vibe. One small heads-up: the tortillas run on the harder side, and the taco shells are what they serve as chips, which may not be everyone's preference. Don't skip the freshly made guac, especially when it comes out in the big clay bowl - it's excellent. If you blend the salsa and spicy sauce, it comes together even better with a smoother, richer kick. Overall, it's a welcoming, lively spot with great hospitality and solid food. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in Cabo. Hola from Panchito

The perfect taco spot after a night of drinking and dancing in Cabo! Great service, amazing prices and piping hot food.

El Paisa was recommended by a resort employee and our driver so we knew this place would have solid, local food. El Paisa is located in the Cabo San Lucas part of town and about a 10 minute walk from the pier. The restaurant is open air and spacious. We ordered what the locals recommended and the choices we made did not disappoint. Frijoles charros - some kind of bean soup - 6/10 Papas rellenas - Mexican version of a baked potato - this was loaded with cheese and you can pick your choice of meat on top - both the asada and pastor were 8/10 Pastor taco - came plain and you can add your own toppings from the salsa bar - 9/10 Fish taco - came plain and you can add your own toppings from the salsa bar - 7/10 Agua de Jamaica - hibiscus iced tea - so refreshing on a hot day - 10/10 This is a definite return if ever back in Cabo!

We stayed in Cabo six days and ate tacos every single day for lunch.... El Paisa was our favorite. PS- Don't skip the excellent Guacamole.

Clean, friendly, inexpensive, and delicious! For about $20US two people can easily eat several delicious tacos with beverages. I had a carne asada ala gringa (beef and cheese between two tortillas) and a taco Al pastor (marinated pork cooked on a vertical spit roaster). My dad won the meal with his "taco macho" which adds a whole roasted green chile (not spicy) to the taco (in this case, more carne asada) The hibiscus drink was refreshing and not too sweet. They bring a nice set of salsas and garnishes too. It was busy but they move very fast! If you are tired of spending $100 on meals, stop by here and load up on delicious tacos!

Came here for a quick bite while we were in the downtown area. We daw online that this place was popular so decided to give it a try. I got 2 al pastor tacos and we got queso to share. The tacos were delicious, and I loved the pineapple on top. When we ordered the queso, we thought it would be American-style queso, but lo and behold... it was a plate of melted cheese with fried tortillas on the side hahah. We were NOT expecting that at all, but it was still good since it was cheese. I added some of the cheese on to my taco since there was a lot of it. I did enjoy my experience here, I was a little worried about getting sick due to eating food outside of the resort, but didn't have any issues. I would recommend trying this place if you are in the area.

Fast service, great food and even excellent service. The Camaron Capeado are . Next time you are in Cabo check out this taco spot!

My husband and I had recently eaten here and didn't think we'd go back. However, I'm really glad we did. This time, my husband ordered Al Pastor Tacos, and I ordered a Chincostra with Asada. OMG!! This taco was to die for! There was a thin, crunchy layer of cheese between the tortilla and meat. It was one of the best tacos I've ever had. I'm so happy we gave this place a second try! I can't wait to go back to Cabo so I can eat here again!

Joaquin M.

Very disappointed. They added extra tacos to our bill that we never ordered. I ended up paying because I just wanted to get back to our hotel, but this was wrong and felt like fraud. I told them about it, and they didn't care at all. Be careful if you come here.

They bring you out a tray full of different toppings and sauces (careful one of the green ones is quite spicey). The service was good and the food was better. This place is cash only so I'd encourage you to make sure you have some $$$ on hand (they did accept USD). The reason for the 4 star vs. 5 star is due to the restroom situation. I don't know how this restroom compares to the other restaraunts in the area, but its two small bathrooms and a sink outside. The sink you have to touch a little knob underneath which doesn't seem the most sanitary...but at least they have a bathroom and some soap. We would go again for sure.

The moment I took my first bite, I knew this would be a regular stop if we're ever back in the area. The meat was tender, incredibly flavorful, and tasted fresh off the grill. Everything paired perfectly with the salsas and an ice-cold beer. Super glad we found this gem within walking distance of the pier, and this is one of those spots that'll stick with us long after our trip ended.

Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

The place itself does not have a high-end vibe or atmosphere, so the pricing just didn't match the experience at all. The service was nice, I'll give them that, but the food did not justify the cost. I've had way better tacos for way less. And trust me, I've had a lot of tacos in my lifetime. It honestly feels like this place is taking advantage of tourists with these prices.

The food came out cold and they overcharged us and we had to wait for an English speaking manager to come and fix the problem. I know that we're visitors but this is a well known establishment that has tourists visiting all the time, which was part of the reason why we visited the restaurant. But, we were seated pretty quick, but it still took approximately 20 minutes to take our drink order. Which were just a couple of buckets of beer. It took another 20 minutes for the server to take our food order. It then took another 30 minutes for the cold tacos to arrive. Like I said, plenty of staff holding up the wall and walking around and also plenty of empty tables. But then they over charged us and we had to wait another 30 minutes for an English speaking manager to show up to fix the issue, even though we had fluent Spanish speakers in our group. You know that I don't particularly like leaving a bad review but I don't care if it's in a different country or not. Bad service and bad food are universal issues. The place is located in the heart of the walking area in the marina and they were always busy whenever we walked by in the past. Maybe we picked a bad day.

The menu is limited and posted on the wall without prices, which made me a little nervous about potential tourist upcharges. Still, we decided to go for it and ordered al pastor and birria tacos with cheese, plus a Pacifico beer. While we waited, our waitress brought out a platter of taco toppings along with consommé. When the food arrived, it instantly became a highlight of our trip. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the consommé and toppings. The chili oil paste on the table was no joke and seriously eye-watering. A couple things to note: there are no restrooms or sinks, so we relied on our wet wipes and hand sanitizer. Our total for six tacos and a beer came out to $30 USD, which was a bit higher than expected, and I do wish there had been clearer pricing. That said, it was an authentic, memorable experience and one I'm really glad we checked out.

There was some real competition for top meal, but this one ran away with it. It is a little up the hill and slightly off the main tourist path from downtown Cabo, but still totally walkable and well worth the effort. And if you can plan ahead, go on a Monday. That is when they offer the Molcajete special, which is reason enough on its own to visit. I also heard their steak night is fantastic, so you really cannot go wrong. The space itself is beautiful. The dining room feels polished and inviting, and there is also a charming outdoor area if you prefer fresh air over AC. We kicked things off with the tableside guac, which was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want to start a meal. Even better, they brought out a complimentary little starter first, which is one of my absolute favorite restaurant traditions. In this case it was two mini empanadas, one mushroom and one cheese. Truly a Sophie's choice situation because both were excellent - hubby and I split them in half. For the main event, we split the Molcajete Monday special. You can choose your protein, and we went with steak, though chicken and (I think) shrimp were also options. It came with both corn and flour tortillas if you ask nicely, all housemade. The portion was easily enough for two. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, sitting in a smoky, slightly spicy sauce in a traditional volcanic stone bowl. Absolutely delicious and one of those dishes you keep talking about long after the meal ends- and much to my travel companions dismay, I talked about it for many days after... Even though we were completely stuffed, I had already seen photos of the flan and could not skip it. We ordered that along with churros to share among four people. Do yourself a favor and skip the churros-- The towering flan is the star. Everyone at the table agreed it was the best we have ever had. A nearby table ordered the crème brûlée and looked genuinely jealous once they saw ours arrive. For what felt like a splurge night, the final bill was surprisingly reasonable, especially compared to US city prices. When you split dishes like we did, it feels like an incredible value for the quality. Treat yourself to this place. And if at all possible, go on a Monday. We almost went back a second time, which says everything. Bathrooms are also lovely, and there is an open kitchen. Service was great too. Treat yo-self!!!
