Michael is a great talent. He makes it look so easy and teaches his expertise in simple understandable terms. I never dreamed I could learn so much and create beautiful arrangements in 3 days. I have 3 days to complete the Design Star class and am excited to learn more!

Miami School of Flower Design has been a great experience so far. Not only have we learned the very basics in floral design, including tips for lasting arrangements, American, European and bridal design, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised that we were also taught a bit about pricing and how to approach and sell to a client. I find this to be so incredibly important and helpful. The business side of any company or brand is what makes or breaks it and it was fantastic to get some of that insight. The con of the beginner course is that it's so fast. There are a total of 9 classes crammed into 9 hours, over 3 different days. It's very far from what you need to feel comfortable with what you've learned. Definitely takes A LOT of practice outside of class, and I would definitely recommend continuing the full course. It just doesn't seem like it's worth it to do only the beginner course. Your money will go further if you complete all the classes.

Cristina is so patient explaining how pottery works and encourages you to be playful with what you create. Adam is also very helpful offering any advice, together they make a great team. The attention to detail does not go unnoticed, and they make everyone feel welcomed (this is very important because I understand it can be scary/intimidating to try new things! they put any fears to ease) Luckily I had the opportunity to glaze a few of my pieces, which is worth the money! I was so pleasantly surprised how quickly my pottery was fired, considering how long the process can take from start to finish. I have been to multiple OCISLY events, but one of my favorite memories was crafting matching swan coffee mugs with my partner. It was so fun to do side-by-side while surrounded by creative energy and good vibes. We cherish these mugs and pull them out often smiling at the subtle unique imperfections that make each one beautiful. Thank you to OCISLY for an amazing memory that will last for years & years. We look forward to many more clay dates!
