Chile verde has different sized pork chunks in a delicious green sauce but the meat was inconsistent in size with most pieces being rock hard, or fat/gristle. No pieces were tender. Chile verde should be tender. I can make better Chile verde in an Instant Pot with pork shoulder and a jar of Herdez green salsa. I trim my meat well though. No surprises. The fish tacos were attractive. They resembled fish sticks though. They had a bread crumb coating, were cooked earlier, and reheated before putting in the taco shell. Not beer batter fried aka Baja style. The taco shells were soft yellow corn tortillas with the texture of flour tortillas. These tortillas were really good! Avocado and fresh cilantro was a nice touch. No special fish taco sauce was used, but might improve the fish sticks. Rice was a solid hit for both of us. We make it like this at home with shrimp/tomato bouillon. The beans were ok. I ended up "returning" the inedible chile verde and they dutifully replaced it with a different burrito. The service was 5/5. The place itself is clean and neat and spacious. No complaints there.

Idk how much the up charge for flour tortillas was, but it definitely couldn't have been $15, and if it is, shame on them (after all they charge you for chips and salsa, and double the charge if it's to-go). No clue if they added someone's drink to my total but very annoying. This is the first time I've ever been over charged. Everything here in general is overpriced unfortunately.

Across the road we were able to park our long trailer on a quiet street, and sit inside for huge carne asada and chicken burrito. The gigantic mural of Mexico had me mesmerized as I waited to order. Surprisingly our burritos were served up quickly. They got my wife's order right, it's really complex, "please, not spicy!" The guy making our burritos even confirmed not spicy! What luck!! Overall, I'm rating their burrito 11/10 since it was huge and you get an extra point for being good roadside food.
