This lighthouse sits right along the border, adjacent to Friendship Park, and at the northern end of the Playas de Tijuana boardwalk.
A stone's throw from here is a great place to workout outdoors, with pullup bars and a dip station, overlooking the beach. The long stretch of beach is a great place to go for a jog.
Despite what they say in the news back home, this place is not bad at all. There are quite a number of eateries nearby, and also a few places to get an assortment of snacks.
This place, and Playas de Tijuana, can be accessed driving along Route 1 (Via Rapida), or driving through Zona Norte (if you find yourself in Tijuana). I recommend the former, as the latter is a dangerous neighborhood.
El Faro, and the surrounding area, is a pretty chill spot in which to hang out or to work out. If you find yourself in Baja for a few days, this would be a good place to check out. read more
