June 2022--almost two years after the fire, the park is still closed, with no explanation. This is ridiculous.

The campground was quiet. This was my third time here, and will be back again to celebrate my Birthday next year again.

Been coming to San Gorgonio campgrounds for over 30 years. Growing up we couldn't afford summer…read moretrips so my dad would make an effort to get us out of the city for a weekend or two every summer. I've continued this tradition with my own kids and this campground is a mainstay in our rotation. In those 30 years not much has changed (and that's a good thing), except maybe a bit more noise from the road. That's expected though with more and more people moving into the area. Nothing beats the tranquility and peace you feel just sitting enjoying a meal together, playing cards, making s'mores, or telling stories by the fire. Facilities are always clean. Showers have warm water and the park host do an excellent job of keeping them clean. The toilets are also always clean, and flush toilets make it so any unpleasant smells do not linger. Plenty of firewood is available if you're running low or forgot to pack any. Make sure you have cash though. The camp host will come by and offer or you can swing by and pick it up. A few cons: the water spout next to our site was not working so we had a not so long trek to retrieve water. The fire pit at our site wasn't in the best of locations. I would've preferred it tucked in more, but it was located right next to the driveway, and finally the drainage system in the showers could be upgraded. It's not pleasant wadding in remains of the person that showered before you even in shower shoes.

I've camped here a few times and it's always a good experience. Not too far from LA and Highway 38…read moreis a much easier drive than Highway 18 going to Big Bear in my opinion. Flush toilets and free showers available (both are generally clean with adequate hot water to shower with, and you'll see the "off duty" host clean them every day, but their condition will be highly dependent on your neighbors). There are a few hiking trail options during your stay: from inside the campground, if you follow the trail by the entrance/the hosts' RVs, to the right, a quick scurry across the highway, there's a mile long hike up to Jenks Lake. If you go left, you'll go through a few other campsites, then an amphitheater, and then an overlook area with a picnic table. There are a few loops in the trees behind the campgrounds, but I'm not sure where they lead as I just turned around eventually. The east loop (1-22) feels more spread out and private although there aren't really too many decent places to hang a hammock in most spots. The west loop (23+) feels a little closer together (but also not bad) with a lot more trees for shade and to hang hammocks. The west loop also tends to have more RVs and generator users for whatever reason though. I've mostly stayed on the east loop and would suggest bringing a canopy for shade. Even though the temperature may not seem that high, the sun is HOT, and is a little unbearable around 1 PM - 3 PM. Surprisingly, bugs are mostly a non issue even in the summer. Bundles of firewood for sale if conditions allow. $10 a bundle as of 07/2025 cash only. Expect each bundle to last about an hour. The host will go around selling however many fits on their cart or you can just drive your car up to the active host and fill your trunk. Big Bear is also a 30 minute drive away.

We were pleasantly surprised! The toilets were very clean, and the free hot showers were such a nice bonus--especially after a day of hiking and relaxing outdoors. Each campsite had a picnic table and a fire pit, which made it easy to cook and enjoy meals comfortably. The campground is surrounded by tall, full-grown trees that provide plenty of shade and a relaxing atmosphere. It was quiet and serene throughout our stay--perfect for unwinding. We especially loved hearing the blue jays singing during the day. There's also a trail that leads straight to Jenks Lake if you're in the mood for a peaceful hike or some fishing. To top it all off, the camp hosts were great--very nice, helpful, and approachable. Overall, this spot exceeded our expectations. It's peaceful, well-maintained, and a perfect weekend escape. We'll definitely be back!

Whether you're into sports, family time, or community events, you'll find something to enjoy. I usually come out to play tennis at the courts or check out the markets they host, usually on Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings. They also have fun community events like the community parking lot sale, where locals can sign up to have a yard sale at the park. My son loves the playgrounds (there are several for different age groups), and on weekends, it's always nice to stop by when there are baseball or softball games going on. The snack shack is usually open during games so its an easy and affordable stop for snacks, burgers and hot dogs. The park is always clean, well-kept, and full of life. It's great to see so many people using it for different things. I wish that they'd add some outdoor pickleball courts, but the community center nearby offers plenty of indoor options like pickleball, racquetball, volleyball, and basketball. The one thing that I have seen a lot of lately is kids/teens racing around on electric bikes/Surron-style bikes. The hills throughout the park are fun to ride, but just make sure to keep your eyes peeled, especially with letting your small kids roam around, to avoid potential accidents. Owverall, Yucaipa Community Park is one of those places that really brings the community together. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

We love attending the outdoor movie nights--they're such a fun tradition for us! My only critique is that the restrooms could use a bit more attention when it comes to cleanliness. I said I'm a legal permanent resident and he is a citizen, she said that they wouldn't be able to allow me as a guest. Quickly the tone of her voice changed and when I asked why only citizens she said that's a rule set by the owners and proceeded to give me the phone number to the Cherry Valley park. I asked if I came in to reserve as a paring my own nights costumer would I be able to reserve, she said No. I have an accent, was that reason? I don't know but talk about discrimination. Just that quick my reservation was canceled.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. It is run down - decrepit with people working that look…read moreolder than dirt and buildings that haven't been updated in a decade or two. It has a pathetic "lake" that is 3 feet deep. It has a disgusting main shared room that is nothing more than a few folding tables with papers taped to them, and some old disgusting couches and chairs. It has a dirty microwave and a coffee maker. But the real issue is that Colorado river adventures is a scam. They claim that you get a one time pass at this amazing "deal" of booking a timeshare with their company. As of today's date a "package" ranges between 9 and 11k with a 500 a year matinenece fee. They claim you can use all this stuff and book all these international and coast to cost things but again its all a scam. When you book they offer you all sorts of free stuff - but it all has strings attached. The gift of the gas card can only be used if you buy in 50 dollar increments 60 dollars apart and they may or may not give you the rebate based on if you qualify st that time. Its not guaranteed. The tablet is a joke. My kid got bored with it in a matter of minutes. It loses charge in 30 minutes and has no capabilities. It also feels like a toy you'd buy on ali express for 8 dollars. But hey its free so whatever. I was promised a 20 night stay and was told I won a contest and if I wanted I could also tour their other locations incase I was interested. They booked me at cherry valley because it was closest to me. I double checked because I didn't want it to null my offer because let's be honest cherry valley has horrid (all honest) reviews. These people lied. There's no two ways around it. They lure you in and attempt to force you to buy and when you don't want to they basically throw a fit and kick you out. I was worried by the reviews and when I called to ask about them was told that the reviews are by disgruntled people who didn't qualify. That's not true, my income alone more than qualified me to be here, and I was willing to buy their most expensive package in cash that day. But if your company is going to lie to me to get me in the door, your tour of the facility is a complete joke, with decapitated conditions, then why would I trust anything else you had to offer. Buyer beware. This place is a straight up scam, poorly run by people who look like they are still living in the 80s, and are completely out of touch with reality, and who have 0 relationship woth the truth.
