This restaurant has THE BEST Mexican food! Guarantee anything on their menu will be outstanding. We will plan to stop here on our way thru KY. Their servings are generous. Atmosphere is Mexican themed and clean. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Salsa is delicious. Don't pass this place by. read more

The atmosphere here is so creative and relaxing. Lots of greenery and soft string lights. The service was decent but I think they brought me the wrong food AND cocktail considering I didn't remember it mentioning a green salsa on the burrito and the drink I ordered literally had blue in the name and was blue in the picture lol. That being said, neither the food nor drink was bad. You will have a great meal here read more

We stopped at this restaurant while traveling - what a find! The menu offered the largest variety of authentic looking Mexican food that I have ever seen. I ordered the Alambres and I was blown away by the beautiful presentation of the dish, large portion size and excellent preparation. My husband's selection was equally as impressive and we were only able to consume half of our meals. I will definitely alter any future travel plans in this area of the country to get back to have another delicious meal at the El Dorado. I would advise everyone not to miss out on this one!!! read more

Great food, quick service. Margaritas were very good. Guacamole made in a cart table side - it was excellent! Wonderful find while traveling. New decor/updates. read more

Went here with some co-workers after a day of work during a business trip. Food was good and the servings were large. One of the team is vegetarian; plenty of choices for her, too. Decor is pretty typical neighborhood Mexican restaurant-style. read more

Really good food. Soup was amazing, waiter's suggestions were very on the spot. Great service. Really authentic experience. Would definitely go again. read more

El Dorado - Fish with shrimp, rice and mushrooms. - Mexican Near Me - London, Kentucky

Most of these Mexican restaurants are all the same. Chips and salsa upon being seated, large menus with tacos, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, and so on. That's what I expected from here even with the low Yelp rating. I figured it would be pretty average compared to other restaurants. It was unfortunately below average. I got two chicken tacos with rice and beans. The chicken tasted barely seasoned but at least it was cooked! The rice and beans were incredibly bland. Overall not very impressed with the cuisine. My coworker ordered beef enchiladas and got shrimp instead... he mentioned it and they were eager to fix the mistake and all was well. The employees didn't seem overly happy to be at work which always makes my dining experience a little worse- I don't like supporting places that can't treat employees well. I don't intend to go back to this restaurant because I prefer a little more flavor in my food. read more

I always have a pretty decent experience here. I always get the steak nachos. Pretty good stuff. My coworker is more adventurous than me and has had a lot of different options. He never has a complaint so that's got to be a good thing. Hah Just wish the cheese on my nachos wasn't like fake cheese that is all watery and nasty. If it was legit cheese that was heavy on my nachos, it would taste much better. Either way, this is a good place to grab lunch. read more

Fish tacos were a strip of unseasoned fish on a soggy tortilla, steak nachos were bland pieces of meat with what seemed like a white Velveeta sauce. No toppings, no seasoning. I ordered the fish taco dinner and didn't get rice or beans. We unexpectedly got 3 bags of unsalted chips with salsa that tasted like marinara. After a long day of driving this dinner was disappointing. Overpriced considering the lack of toppings, seasoning, and sides. read more

Just had 4 tacos from your restaurant delivered. They were utter tripe! Ate half a taco, wished I hadn't and threw the rest away. The salsa was watery. The chips were stale. Could you possibly put LESS effort into your food? Paying for a meal and door dash, and I get inedible crap. That is the last time I eat or visit your restaurant. And I have been going every month for 11 years. Taco Bell would have been better. read more

We love trying new Mexican restaurants but this was a miss. My daughter Quesadilla looked great on the outside but the cheese was unmelted and cold. My enchiladas were very bland and soggy. The chips and salsa was very good! For limited seating, the service so-so. We had to repeatedly get the servers attention for drink refills. read more

Our favorite mexican in London. Food is always hot and pretty quick. Servers arent always the most smiley, but weve always had good service. Better than Cabo, if im being honest. read more

I would be cautious eating here. My friends and I came to have dinner and 2 out 3 of us had spoiled food. Spoiled shrimp, chicken, and pico. Also, their version of quesadillas is literally just a giant tortilla folded over very large pieces of whatever you order (veggies, meat, etc.), not even griddled-closed like a normal quesadilla (their picture on the menu shows something COMPLETELY different). Looks as if a toddler tried to make them. Their salsa tastes like someone opened a can of tomato paste and dumped an insane amount of salt. EW. Disappointed. read more

This was the worst Mexican I have ever had. I'm very sad. I stopped here aching for chips and salsa and some spicy shrimp. Well. The salsa tasted like it had ketchup in it. Like really. It was so sweet. No heat. No onions. Ick. The shrimp didn't come with rice and beans (and that is a requirement for me, personally)... so I got chile relleno. It was supposed to have beans and cheese inside. Nope. Just beans with no seasoning. How disappointing. read more

El Dorado - Bean and Cheese Chile Relleno. It was just okay. I ate it, but had to salt and add Cholula which should not be a requirement at Mexican. - Mexican Near Me - London, Kentucky

I like Mexican restaurants but oh my gosh.. Sheeww!! This is the worst Mexican place in London!!!!!!!! The food don't taste the same as others when it's the same exact food!!! ALL of the employees that serve food or working state you down the entire time your in that place!!!!!!! Also nasty and dirty in the place where people eat!!!! PLEASE DON'T EAT HERE!!!!!!!! read more

Thr food is great, the quality, and just been clean and have respect for ALL customers. For the most part some can be a lil rude for sure

I love everything about it here. Best food in the world. And togo food. And service is good as well.

I like almost anywhere but this is one of the worst I've been too. They close when they want to and if you are one minute late to your reservation they wont let you sit down. They also have the worst excuses they apparently clean their grill more than 30 minutes before they close. Highly would Not recommend. read more

If you like Mexican food as it is everywhere else in the U.S. here ya go. Everything is good and pretty much the same. By no means authentic Mexican but fair priced and you know what you're getting. Full bar but be careful. Margaritas are made with a neon mix. Beer is probably the way to go. read more

This place is nice and clean. The food smelled good when you walk in. Fresh made guacamole and great service juat what your supposed to have. This place will not let you down! read more

This is the best Mexican place in London. I've tried them all numerous times. The chips are better, salsa is better, queso is better, entrees are better, and the restaurant itself is nicer than the others. Not sure what Jenny S. was smoking back in 2011, but she's wrong. El Dorado is far superior to Fiesta Mexicana. Previous reviewers are correct that the service is incredibly fast and friendly. read more

I Don't really know what people find not to like about this place. Service is wonderful restaurant is clean and the food is very good. Portions are large. My husband had a quesadilla which we both could've shared. We are staying at the Microtel Inn next-door and we got 10% off our bill. read more

I have been here many times and not had problems. It has never been the best Mexican restaurant, but it was good enough. Today I went with my friend and we ordered the same thing we order every time - cheese quesidillas with rice and beans. The cheese was OLD. The server brought out bowls of cheese and tried to convince us it was not old, we assured him it was okay, but the cheese tasted very terrible and made us sick after we left. The servers were nice, but we won't be back again. AWFUL cheese. read more

September 1 2016 My wife and I had dinner here. Service was friendly and efficient. Decor was rather bleak. I had pulled pork carnitas. The pork was rather dry and lacked flavor. My wife had taco salad with chicken. The chicken was mushy. read more

Worst Mexican food I have ever ate! Waste of money!! No seasoning and no flavor except in the salsa that had extra cumin. My grandbaby always finishes her rice and beans every where we go but not there. She wasted after trying it but I couldn't blame her because we wasted ours too. Too many better choices to choose from in that area so don't waste your time or money! read more

The service was good, and the fajita quesadilla was okay. Also, the food is very affordable. Unfortunately, the chips tasted stale, the salsa had a tomato paste flavor, and the queso tasted out of a jar/can. The rice was also bland. They need to enhance their flavor/recipes. read more

We had 11 people and they got us right in. Shout out to the guy who served my table, he was definitely professional and respectful. The food came quickly and tasted amazingly of course. We will definitely be back if we stop by London someday read more

Very disappointed. I am at the motel next door at lest two nights a week. I ask for a few extra tortillas on a $25 dollar meal. I was expected to pay an extra $1. I am at this hotel 2-3 days a week. Very disappointed, will never return. Bad service, bad food and over priced for the quality of the food. We were barely sat when the server asked if we were ready to order. We said no, we had never been there and needed about 5 minutes to review the menu. During the 5 minutes, the server came back twice to see if we were ready to order. I felt like we were being rushed to order. Jump ahead to the delivery: My mother in law ordered the Loaded Beef Nacho's. It was soup on a plate. The tortilla chips were soggy and falling apart. We told the server the meal was NASTY TASTING. No apology what so ever, was told that was how they served their nacho's. My tip: DO NOT ORDER THE NACHO'S, better yet, eat somewhere else. read more

Of all the Mexican places in town this is by far the best. It's a local favorite and has been for years. You will not be disappointed by the food or scenery. The staff is friendly and the service is very speedy. Over all wait time for your food is rarely over 15 minutes. read more

The service is awesome and lightning speed, and the food is just great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Definitely the best Mexican food in town. read more

The food here is usually always great!! The reason I give it 2 stars is because we came here for my coworkers birthday and had the RUDEST waiter. He didn't have her sung to and wouldn't refill our drinks. we had to go find him twice in order to get his attention and when our food came out, a girl ordered an extra side of rice and he tried to tell her she didn't and took the plate away from her. Hopefully he was fired I'm not sure. I get we were a big party and I've worked in restaurants before so I know most of the time that means small tip. Especially because it was a bunch of young girls. But we planned on tipping great so maybe he shouldn't have jumped to conclusions read more

Have you ever been ignored when you walk into a restaurant?? There's a first time for everything. If you like new experiences come here. All you have to do is walk into the door. Walk up to the guy at the counter. Stare at him for 5 mins as he looks down at some receipts and don't acknowledge you. This place sure knows how to treat their customers with respect. That was the most awkward experience I've ever had. I don't even care what the food tastes like after that. (In case you want to know, food is below mediocre and over priced) read more

Decided to come here while staying at the motel next door to have a drink or two. I was amazed at how small the place was when I walked in, and that there was no bar, so my husband and I grabbed a table. We each got a margarita and they were pretty tasty. We also decided to get an appetizer platter, which we ended up taking a lot of it with us since the platter was huge. The food was good and fresh, plus well worth the money. However, I was amazed when we got the check to see how much the margaritas were. Unbeknownst to us, we got the top shelf margaritas without asking for them, but there was also no drink menu with options and pricing for any drinks. However, the server we had was nice and very accommodating. Not a bad place to grab a bite. read more
