Best beef and pork I've ever had! The green chili brats are to die for and the beef is just as good as it gets. Get it while it lasts!!

If you're passionate about high-quality meat and supporting local ranching, Bell Beef Country Store…read moreis the kind of place you'll want to know about. Nestled just north of Cortez, this family-owned country store brings fresh, ranch-to-table beef straight from the pasture to your plate -- and the difference in taste and quality is something you can truly savor. What makes Bell Beef special isn't just the excellent product, but the story and people behind it. This operation grew out of decades of ranching experience, with Scott Bell raising cattle for years and his son Kasey and daughter Raedene, stepping in to help build the business into what it is today. The Bell family's hands-on approach means you're not just buying meat -- you're buying something they're personally proud of. Walking into the store feels like visiting a local favorite rather than a generic market. The selection is impressive: premium cuts, ground beef, steaks, jerky, snack sticks, and even bulk freezer bundles are all available, vacuum-sealed for freshness and convenience. It's obvious a lot of thought goes into every choice on the shelves, and customers often comment on how delicious and rich the flavor is. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, ready to help whether you're picking out something for dinner or planning meals for weeks to come. The community vibe here is strong -- people return again and again because they trust the quality and enjoy the personal touch. If you're in the Cortez area and want beef that tastes like it came straight from the ranch -- because it did -- I highly recommend stopping by Bell Beef. It's a true gem for meat lovers and a great example of local family business done right.

I so wanted to have a seat and order a glass of wine and cheese, but of course we'd just eaten and happened to have small children in our entourage. It wasn't the right time! But that didn't stop us from a leisurely browse. Over The Moon is a perfect shop for touristy and boutiquey Telluride. It's a bit cramped inside, but they've made wonderful use of their space. When you first walk in you'll see shelves and shelves of gourmet pantry items (fancy pastas, sauces, snacks, etc.), some cute trinkets and antique pieces, and high-end skin care products. I really loved the zebra striped pasta (squid ink is so cool), and would have bought it had it been gluten-free! The best part of this little shop is the tiny bar they have where you can order wine and beer by the glass, some amazing cheeses, and fine cured meats. YUM. Y'all know I love nothing more than cheese... They had several options on their menu and were very upfront about which cheeses they'd run out of (and of course were willing to substitute what they did have on hand, and let us know what day the missing cheese would be back in stock). There are just a few quaint tables and chairs for enjoying your order, and the staff is extremely warm and inviting. It's a family owned spot and you can tell that the people working here are genuinely invested in what they do, and excited to share their products with you.

A nice addition to the Telluride area. Stop by for a glass of wine and a plate of cheese.read more

I am a smoker myself, and I am usually very skeptic about any ribs I have not smoked myself, but I wanted to give this guys a try. And I'm so happy we did. The ribs are delicious, on Tuesday they are served right off the smoker. A-ma-zing. The best smoked ribs I've ever bought. This small store is a gem in Ouray. I got a bit too excited and bought a few different types of fish jerky without looking at the ingredients (assuming it would be pretty healthy) but when I looked at it later besides fish it had lots of other ingredients that I am trying to avoid, so not so healthy after all. They do have some unique stuff, like locally pickled jalapeños and garlic, some meat, etc. A lot of the cheese they sell can easily be found at a regular store in Denver but, of course, at a muuuuch higher price. I understand it's a pretty remote location, which means tons of added costs. Overall, it wasn't too exciting to me but I really appreciate the fact that they source so many different things so there is something for everyone!
