I was excited to try this new restaurant at OWA. I asked why their Grande Burrito was so expensive ($45) and they said it was 7 lbs. of course I didn't try it. I had the steak fajitas and they were really good (a little skimpy on the meat). The salsa and chips are alacart, so you have to pay for them. However, if you bought the cheese and chips, the salsa was a $1 more. The cheese and salsa was really good. Salsa was a little spicy, but I like spicy. I had Mexican rice with my fajitas, and the only complaint is that is was a little bland. Almost plain like white rice. They have outdoor seating by the water, but you can't eat out there. You can only have a drink outside by the water. They have nice comfortable chairs out there. The outside dining is in front of the restaurant. They have an outside bar (front) and an inside bar. I went on a Friday night and they had a one man band for entertainment.

A welcome addition to the restaurant options at OWA. Great ambiance, nice horseshoe (tequila) bar, friendly and prompt service. The salsa has a smoky flavor to it. The tortilla soup is tomato based, slight chipotle flavor with shredded chicken. The guacamole is among the best I've had. Soft drinks come in huge cups. Highly recommend a try.

This restaurant is slow. Slow to be seated, slow to receive our food. Chips and salsa are not standard, they have to be ordered. They also did not bring water when I orders alcohol. The queso dip was the best thing we ordered. The tacos were mediocre and the rice was very dry. The soup, pollo Azteca sopa, was decent. The building and decor is very beautiful. It has a lot of potential but definitely needs to improve the food and speed of service.

I just moved to Foley from San Diego. I don't know if yall are aware... San Diego has fantastic…read moreMexican food. Some would say even better than Mexico's (me I say that.) it's also a fairly known fact that even getting as far as Los Angeles, the Mexican food quality drops significantly. So you can imagine my hopes not being very high in coming to Alabama and receiving good Mexican food. After a good 20 minutes of deliberation, I looked at taco fiesta's menu and it is the most reminiscent of a San Diego taco shop. So I said let's give 'er a whirl. Imagine my utter shock and disbelief when I bit into the Carnitas burrito... flavorful, juicy, both red and green sauces packing an absolute home run with flavor and spice both. My man got the birria quesadilla and a couple of tacos. I also got the beans from my burrito on the side just in case.... Some of these states be having some weird ass beads. But no... Absolute perfection. I will be returning to this spot over and over and over again, my only ask is to put a fish taco on the menu and look into Machaca. You put those on the menu and you have my undying loyalty and devotion. Stamp of approval from an Honorary Mexican from San Diego. Love you.

The burrito is absolutely massive--loaded with steak, rice, cheese, beans, lettuce, and tomatoes. It even comes with salsa roja and verde. Personally, I preferred the roja. Food came out in about 7-8 minutes, which is pretty fast, and the employees were super nice. Not to mention, everything was sooo delicious and incredibly filling.

The owner at first may seem reserved/unfriendly but trust me he really is a awesome person and the food is his love. Every plate he watches over to insure its done correctly. One night my wife was feeling under the weather and I arrived when they were closing so he said come back tomorrow which I can respect that so I mentioned my wife was sick and wanted some of the soup which he replied aww I didn't realize. Please come in we will take care of her and get her better. The soup was awesome and it did help her feel so much better. When you go tell him the "Bald Headed Fat Man" sent you that rides a motorcyle and has the biker vest said this is the best place. It won't get you or me anything LoL I just want him to know that we aprecaite and love his restraunt.

What the restaurant is really called is (El mariachi Hondureño)! And the pics shown online do not match the food or the restaurant. I do not recommend! Our waiter had the most unpleasant approach and attitude towards us!

I had 2 lengua tacos and that too was very bland and tasteless. The tripe tacos were just ok. We had to order and pay for chips and salsa which was unusual to me. To drink they do have several Fresca flavors. Several tables so you can be seated. The menu has a few familiar entrees but we stuck to basic items. They have several hot sauces to add the level of heat you prefer. I ordered Flautas and used the hottest sauce provided. My only problem below: My flautas were chicken and the meat was tasteless/ dry inside. The topping of lettuce tomato/crema and added avocado slices helped along with the hotsauce I added. We also ordered steak/chicken street style tacos and sopes and thought they were just ok. I think this place is worth a try. Everyone's palate/taste is different.
