Asada taco with my selected toppings from the topping bar
    Lacey C.

Really great little taqueria! Very tasty salsa and somehow they make their chips with two stuck together. I always search out that type in the basket but every one was that way! Jackpot! My only gripe is that the Asada wasn't trimmed very well like I am used to. Almost every bite had a little strip of fat, gristle, or even bone. Other reviewers said go for the Al Pastor. Wish I had listened...it had a very good flavor but trimmed in haste, perhaps being a Friday? The sope was perfect except for the steak. They have all my favorite toppings, avocado, onion, tomato, lettuce, crema, and cotija. Yummers! And the taco topping bar was awesome! They had several salsas and avocado based sauces. Very good.

Worst service ever. Food came out after like 30 minutes and came out cold.. we ordered three sets of tacos & a torta cubana, torta cubana and one set of 3 tacos were okay, warm food not fresh and hot especially for taking so long. The other two sets of 3 tacos were cold.. ice cold to be honest. For the food to take so long it should of came out hot and steaming, the lady who dropped off the food didn't ask anything when she dropped it off and walked away quickly. The server or whoever was our "server" never came back we had to go looking for her after like 15 minutes she appeared at the cash register but not to go check on us. Once we had gotten food no one came back to serve us or check on us, the aguas frescas (fresh waters) when asked if they gave out refills or not she didn't even know what we were asking about, when we tried to let her know about the food she didn't apologize she just asked us "what meat are the tacos" didn't care to ask us if we were okay or to apologize. Don't recommend this place, save your money. $61.58 for food that didn't meet our expectations.

Carne tacos. They come plain, just meat and tortilla, but we added guacamole. Make sure you request the homemade corn tortillas.

We just discovered this place last week and it's very good. It's not Tex-Mex, and it's not Baja so it's a little different but still very tasty. The carne and the chicken are both quite good. Very large selection of good homemade salsas and Fresca items. The market next door has everything you need for an authentic Mexican dinner.

If there's one thing this area is lacking, it's authentic Mexican cuisine. If that's something you've been searching for, look no further! I consider it a good sign when we walk into a Mexican restaurant and we're the only non-Hispanics in there. That was the case the entire time we were there. In fact, the server spoke about as much English as I spoke Spanish - about 20 words. No worries, there was a guy in there who was fluent in English and could translate. The menu was written in English, but there were no descriptions given of the dishes. If you need that, then rest assured there are a few safe options on the menu. I like to venture out, so I ordered something pollo (chicken) that I had never heard of and hoped it would be good. My hubs ordered tacos carne asada. We both ordered unsweet tea and it came in a bottle, but was pretty good. Our food was incredible! My pollo dish turned out to be the typical chicken breast with rice, beans and salad with pico. It was much better than I've had anywhere else. It came with corn tortillas, which I typically don't eat, but this was the exception. The tortillas were nothing short of amazing! They were definitely homemade. The hubs got his tacos and I was surprised to see only meat and no onions or cilantro. The waiter came and got him and motioned him to the fresh condiments bar, which had pico, verde, salsa, cucumbers, cilantro, and several other things. The sauces were way above average, as was the cheese dip. Our total bill was only about $25, which is really inexpensive. The quality and flavor of the food is outstanding. The service was extremely friendly. The place is affiliated with the Mexican grocery store next door, so check them both out!

French Fries and cut up hot dogs in what was supposed to be Huevos with Chorizo Sausage.

Dirty floor and overall a poor experience. My wife ordered Heuvos w scrambled eggs and Chorizo sausage. What she got had sliced hot dogs and cut up french fries in it. Tacos were very greasy Will never come here again. The sad thing is that Shrimp Basket is right across the parking lot so we missed out on what could have been a good seafood dinner.

Goat tacos and a crispy, creamy tostada. The chips and salsa are delicious and complimentary.

We're currently staying in Gulf Shores for the weekend and woke today craving tacos. Not the American, Tex-Mex kind, but real-deal, Mexican tacos. Since there seemed to be nothing that fit the description around these parts, we decided after researching on Yelp that it was worth the 20-minute drive to Foley to partake in an authentic taco experience. It was totally worth it. This place is tiny. It's not properly air-conditioned, it's a smidge cramped, they don't serve beer, and it's a perfect setting for amazing food. (I adore a good hole-in-the-wall.) I ordered two chivo (goat) tacos and a tostada, which was fried to perfection with glorious amounts of avocado, crema, and queso fresco glommed on top. My fiance ordered al pastor tacos, which were slow-cooked to gloriousness. The salsa bar up front really makes it. They have everything from pickled veggies, radishes, multiple types of salsa (I recommend the avocado and spicy red.), onions, and cilantro. We washed our tacos down with bottled, Mexican sodas. It was a perfect vacation lunch. We left with happy tummies and hearts. This is a must-visit lunch destination in Foley.

This place is extraordinary, a shocker for my native Californian sensibilities. Try their shrimp!!

Amazing authentic Mexican food. The Menudo is fantastic and there tacos can't be beat. Very fast service. I go every time I am in Foley.

The owner at first may seem reserved/unfriendly but trust me he really is a awesome person and the food is his love. Every plate he watches over to insure its done correctly. Please come in we will take care of her and get her better. The soup was awesome and it did help her feel so much better.
