Excellent happy hour margaritas. Chips and salsa were served quickly... freshly fried and the salsa had the perfect kick. Had the chicken nachos for a meal. Just the right amount of mess and flavor! A crunchy delicious delight. Husband had carne asada and the meat was flavored well and cooked to his liking. Beans and rice were a large portion. Our first time trying out this place, after being in Foley for 10 months. We got there around 5pm on a Tuesday, not too busy yet. We got seated and had water, chips, salsa and our beers within minutes. Lots of choices on the menu. Food came within minutes. I had the Carnitas Mexican Tacos and he had the fajita burrito. WAY too much for us to finish. They had a guy playing the guitar and singing, we were so happy they had him away from the seating area so that you could still hold a conversation. The prices were a bit high, but I feel that's happening everywhere now, so we weren't bothered by it. We got great attentive service and an over abundance of food, so well worth it. First time we have eaten here. The food was amazing. We ordered 3 entrees and they were all delicious. Great portion size. We all left with leftovers. The service was not great but it was very busy so we understand that. What was extremely disappointing was the pitcher of house margaritas we ordered. The mix was watery and not flavorful at all. The reason I gave 3 stars is because one of the workers sat on a stool, and it broke under her, and her coworkers had a great laugh. I know it's hard not to laugh when someone falls but these people walked away laughing, one of the more beefy guys walked away from her not offering to help but had a disgusted look on his face then went back over to check the other stools to make sure they wouldn't break. A manager walked away laughing. I didn't see the girl again and hope she was ok and not too embarrassed, especially by her coworkers. After waiting a very, very long time our food came out, mine was cold. Our waitress saw me not eating, and when I told her why she insisted on fixing it, that's where the 3 stars come from. 09-10-2022 Excellent! "Bladimiro" was our server. Very attentive. We ordered Chile rellenos dinners and they let us top them with carnitas. So delicious! No complaints. Salsa could only be improved by adding cilantro but it's good salsa with a slightly smoked chipotle flavor. Photos attached. We are from FL AND we order same/similar dinner at Lime Tequila restaurant. It's very much the same. :) to our delight. read more

Coming here for years, The food was same, it was good. The price is outrageous, no more taco Tuesday. They say they have a taco Tuesday, but three small tacos for $11.99 That's a far cry from a taco Tuesday. We definitely won't be back and the sad thing is is once you stop going and they changed for the good, you still don't go back. There are way too many other restaurants in town that have great taco Tuesdays. One final note we had to sit in front of a TV that was playing Joel Osteen, the preacher, or my day say the biggest crook known to mankind. Very disappointing. read more

El Paso---Pass next time on this place. Food and service was aweful. Chips were stale and when we ask the waiter for fresher chips. He said we can have some new ones but they are the same. Sour cream was 1.75 and tea was 3.99 and wouldn't have minded if it was good but the food sucked. Will not ever go back! Pass on this place and you will be glad you did. read more

Called in a to go order. Very difficult time getting the restaurant employee on the phone to understand me (English). After explaining my order slowly several times, I reluctantly hung up & started driving to the restaurant. I sent my wife in to pick-up & pay for our, knowing that I wouldn't have the patience needed to correct the order inside. Sure enough, they only had 1 flauta (phonetic) but the dinner comes with four; which I ordered. My chicken tortilla soup didn't have any chicken in it (vegetables & no seasoning). They charged $2 for each cheese queso for each enchilada plus the enchilada & $.50 for to go order. We won't be back. There has to be better service & food elsewhere. read more

Who ever heard of a TOP SHELF MARGARITA made with sprite.... After sending it back it became a WATER A RITA..... I never been to a restaurant where the MANGER/OWNER has the most NASTY ASS ATTITUDE...... my thing is If you can't deal with the public do not get a business that causes you to deal with people...... Last I recall the customers pays your rent on the building your utilities and your FUCKY ASS SALORY .... So whatever you have going on in your life,Leave that shit at the door come in and make the customer feel welcome.... We haven't here since before Covid and I really wanted to give these guys another shot before dropping my review. I wasn't excited as I'd hoped, on my previous, visit considering so many others with really high praise for authentic or amazing food. I thought perhaps I'd caught them on a bad day but today wasn't any better. First I'll start by saying the restaurant is clean, upbeat (albeit a bit loud), and the service is just fine at average pricing and a lunch menu with convenient and ample parking and good patio seating. (note: no happy hour) But the food is the main thing and here where they fall flat. While the chips and salsa were great, especially the salsa with excellent chipotle and smokey flavors with chunky tomatoes the rest of our meals were just not up to expectations. The tacos come with an unseasoned ground beef with very little flavor, Luke warm with shredded lettuce and tiny amount of bland cheese. The burrito and enchiladas are bland as well. The beans, while hot, taste they're just boiled and devoid of taste other than pinto bean. I could go on but you get the drift, it's just not authentic Mexican or even slightly TexMex. I've read reviews from others from New Mexico who rave about the food but I have had Mexican from coast to coast IN Mexico, lived in Mexican community in L.A and has the food across NM & TX and what I've had here ain't any of that. Bottom line: It's not terrible here, but it's not close to great so when I go out to eat mediocrity is not what I'm looking for. read more

Oh how I wish I took pictures! The staff is always very professional and nice. OH! They got new chairs and they look amazing. The food is good and decently priced. Our server was very attentive. I had the Shredded Beef flautas with iced tea and they were good. It came with lettuce, tomato, and guacamole. The drinks are massive. They have a good kids menu also. My daughter had the chicken tenders and fries and enjoyed it with her pink lemonade. Our friends and their kids were also pleasantly pleased with their food. Can't wait to go there again. Clean Good margaritas Good margarita specials The quality is good Uses better quality meats and other local Mexican restaurants. The chips and salsa are good to Friendly staff So Comparing/judging El Paso to other local Tex-Mex restaurant, they are the best 5* (I do think there was a management change the last couple of years and so the low ratings maybe legacy reviews of the prior management. I honestly can't believe El Paso has 3 stars. This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Baldwin county. The margaritas are the perfect amount of lime and liquor. The cheese dip, salsa, avacado and ALL of the plates are always amazing. I'm a local and I eat here at least 1-2 times a week. Pepe, the manager is so kind and runs the place well. All of the servers are friendly and take great care of us. Will always be a customer here! read more

The cup size for drinks were large and that was nice, servers were friendly and food was out fast. However the food was cool. The salsa and queso tasted store bought. Queso that's not warm is not a great experience either. In fact all our our food was lukewarm. Smallest portions I've ever seen and I have no idea how this could be considerate authentic Mexican food. Salsa was delicious, service was really good. I had the shrimp tacos, shrimp was cold and seemed like it had been pre-cooked. The only hot thing on my plate was the soup, rice was tender and "warm". My wife had quesadilla, veggies were slimy and unevenly cooked. She didn't finish half her meal either. So... this is not "authentic Mexican. " it's damn good food. If you want authentic there are a couple of taquerias around where you can practice your Spanish and have a tongue taco, or tripe soup. Not my bag. Clean, good service, tasty food I've eaten in Mexico and in Mexican restaurants in SW Florida that cater to Mexican population. I had the Carne Asada and was quite pleased. We've been here before. But oh, has it changed in the two years. It's off the road just a bit. It has a large private parking lot that was nice and clean. The building had a new entrance since we were last here. The inside has been opened up and redecorated and it feels nice, open and welcoming. We were seated in a large booth with plenty of room. Chips were on the table and drink orders were taken before we got seated fully. Our waiter explained a couple of menu items and the food began to arrive shortly afterwards. We started with stuffed jalapeños that were tasty and served with a spectacular honey mustard sauce. We ordered chicken chimichangas, huevos rancheros and fajitas. All delicious. All tasting different from one another. And all with flavor. Service was great. The bill was $50 with tip for 3 people. Not bad! Try it. This place is more than just Tex-Mex. you'll love it. read more
