To my taste I've had better Mexican food in the Foley, AL at most other Mexican places in the area so I was a bit disappointed. The Mexican Guacamole was the best thing I had and it was an enjoyable experience. In the price and value category this was the most expensive meal I've had for Mexican food in the Foley, AL area. I had a taco, burrito and enchilada combo from the lunch specials which were beef but seemed to have more beans in them. So perhaps I just ordered the wrong things?

My husband ordered the chicken quesadillas, which were very greasy and filled with huge chunks of bell peppers, very little chicken, and had almost no flavor. The rice and beans also did not taste homemade or fresh. I also ordered a side of guacamole, and it had seeds in it and absolutely no flavor. Overall, the food was bland, greasy, and very disappointing. We were really looking forward to a good meal, but unfortunately, we left very unsatisfied.

This was our second time eating here, we visited last summer while on vacation as well. The quesabirria is good and definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. This is the only place we have tried quesabirria near the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach area. Therefore, we don't have anything in the area to compare it to. The meat is very tender, flavorful and juicy. They also load each of the tacos up with meat, you will definitely get your money's worth. If I had one complaint it would be that the tortillas need to be a little crispier. They were a little soggy. They also have mexican Coke, which is a must.

Waitress was phenomenal, very positive. Food was good. My favorite was the black beans. I was not expecting broccoli in a veggie burrito, though. I love the ambience. There's beautiful lighting around the bar, a saltwater tank as you enter the door, and at least 3 TVs for sports if you like that. Their tickets are large print, which is interesting. They give out free postcards at the end of your meal if you want that. Ratings from my table: S - 4/5 Food was fast, my plate was smaller than I expected. D - 4/5 Grits were good, rice was good, cheesedip was runny. A - 3/5 Service was quick, typical Mexican restaurant. Expensive for what we got. F - 3/5 Crab thing wasn't great. My score - 3.5/5 The black beans are VERY good... broccoli shouldn't be in a burrito though. Great service brings it up, expense brings it down.

When Cactus Cantina first opened here in Orange Beach a few years ago, we were eager to try it out. We were not impressed, and told ourselves we won't be back. Recently we had a craving for some Chimichanga's, along with the normal mexican sides, and thought we'd give this place a second chance. What a mistake. First, they don't offer shredded beef, instead ground hamburger. Second, like ALL the other Mexican restaurants, the Chimichangas don't come with all the toppings; sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, guacamole.... just a simple small mini deep fried burrito (4.5") with a small sides of rice and beans. At $16. that's hysterical. They will happily add any and all toppings at an extra charge. The rice is cheap and bland, I hate to write A negative review, and I have written so few, but eating out has gotten so expensive, and people need to know, especially families and large parties. Fantastic place,Fantastic people. Their Hostess greeted my group & accommodated us showing us their hospitality when we arrived. Starting with serving our tables Chip & Salsa before ordering an entree or app. Servers remained warm & attentive catering towards each patron within our group. Chips and salsa consistency remained unchanged from my previous visit. Retaining their modest crispness containing less oil compared to most competitor's chips while keeping a low sodium content within. Salsa consistency contains a light chunky texture with a mild kick while remaining flavorful. Two other chip dip varieties are available including Queso & Guacamole. Queso's an excellent selection which they execute with perfection remaining constant compared with past visits. Velvety, creamy, & containing a perfect cheese blend having moderate thickness excluding any spice hints appealing towards patrons with neutral tastes. Request Jalapeno with Cilantro adding a subtle flavor with a mild kick. Guacamole remained consistent while retaining its flavorful balanced ingredient mix, light thick texture, & fresh avocados. Making this my go-to for Guac cravings. I have tried guacamole from other places. Never lived up to my standards. This place exceeded every personal expectation ever had from other Mexican restaurants. Ask for Jalapenos & add that mild zestful kick enjoyed by myself & others who love some heat with their dips or dishes. Their Menu offers delightful yet simplistic entree selections offering traditional Mexican dishes. With each having its own signature flavors & every bite bursting with tantalizing flavors. Brieeras here (a previous entree I enjoyed from my prior visit) contains delicious cornucopia of flavors having wonderful slight thick texture featuring delicious tender beef offering a mild rich taste with balanced spice & seasonings. Brieera served satisfies the hardiest of appetites & Brieera enthusiasts. During this recent visit, my mood gravitated towards taco salad which impressed me by having their signature flavor balance. Making each ingredient stand out in unison & their taco shell retains its crispness without being hard or soggy.
