We do

We cannot understand why this place received so many great reviews. Unknown to us, we were in the attic room 85 degrees when we arrived, without the heat on! The room air conditioner sounded like a small jet engine, so to have it on was impossible for any sleeping or conversation. The only window, was a fire escape without a screen on it. There was consistent noise all day.... The owners called it "white noise", which it was not. It was continual furnace fan tapping noises. The 2 free waters and 2 free beers were the only plus in this room for us. The black light paintings were nice, but the streaks on the walls shown all night. Definitely do not recommend this place.

Fabulous overnight accommodations, we wish we could stay longer! The Brothel Room is absolutely unique & charming & endlessly comfortable! We will definitely be back for a longer stay!

Downtown Historic B&B has been on my list since their open house last year. Finally, I got my…read morechance and it did not disappoint. It would be best just to give a play by play of our stay. Once we booked we arrived we followed the instructions on our confirmation. It gave us a code to a secure box where we were to find the rest of the details for our stay. It felt a lot like a scene from Clue. Fun! Inside looks exactly how you'd hope it to look based on the outside. It's filled with authentic built in furniture in solid sturdy wood. Ours was the Garden Room which was more of a suite than a room. In addition to the queen bed, there is also a separate room (like a living room) with a pull out couch. The living room has a door that leads out to a balcony that looks over the entire property. From there you can see a huge courtyard with a fireplace and luxurious lounge chairs, hammocks and benches. There is a pond, or more of a brook that runs through the back courtyard. I never determined if there were fish. The entire setting is a place for anyone but particularly those who want to take a few days to catch their breath. I sure did. In the morning the DH B&B served homemade quiche, multigrain pancakes, piping hot coffee and juice. If you are going to be in Albuquerque and are doing some comparisons, this one is more than just clean; it's delightful. I am a local. Even so, I'll be treating myself to this again..and again.

They also make all of the bathroom products in the rooms. Central location, easy to get to any of the main freeways and super close to the airport. I highly recommend trying Groves which is a 2 minute walk away for to go coffee, sweets or food. Very trendy little place with amazing homemade English muffins. Definitely worth supporting over the chain places in town. It made for a unique travel experience.

I want to share my experience so future guests know what to expect at this location…read more When I asked for room service around 9am, I was told it had to be requested before 7am. This was never explained at check-in, and the way the policy is enforced makes it almost impossible for guests to receive service. Even more confusing, the room itself had a posted notice stating that requests for more frequent service must be made before 11am -- not 7am. The only mention of the 7am cutoff was on a small flyer I received after asking at the desk. This kind of inconsistency makes it feel like local management is skirting corporate policies in order to avoid providing service. The way the staff handled it was dismissive, as if they were already prepared to deny the request rather than try to help. Thanks for that Roger, I almost didn't bother with this review. I also noticed multiple cockroaches on the property near the pool area, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and upkeep. In addition, the ice machine on the second floor was out of order -- with no sign posted. When I mentioned it to the front desk, they said they were already aware, which gave the impression they'd rather pretend the amenity exists than acknowledge it doesn't. Taken together, the unhelpful policies, inconsistent communication, staff unwillingness to assist, visible pest issues, and non-functional amenities made this stay fall well below expectations. Future guests should be aware of these issues before booking.

Then when I got to my room the shower faucet was leaking and dripping all night. On top of that, there were stains on the comforter and black fuzz all over the white pillows. The breakfast here was subpar and the worst part of all was the cockroach I found crawling in my bathroom.

Currently flying home and the free in-flight wifi is better. Absolutely do not stay here if you need to do virtual meetings. Video meetings were impossible, and even switching to audio only it was hard to hold a conversation. Loading pages felt like dialup sometimes. The AC was loud and rattled even more loudly when actively cooling. The rattling was loud enough to wake me up multiple times. Outlets in the room would frequently stop working. It's not fun trying to walk around the room at midnight when you realize your phone stopped charging, trying to figure out which of the outlets actually works! My room had a beautiful view of the mountain, but the window was extremely dirty. The breakfast was okay. Eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels, toast, whole fruit, muffins, cinnamon rolls. Coffee and tea in the lobby at all times. There are a few dining options in the plaza which was nice. If you are staying more than a few days and like having lots of dining options very close, you may want to look into downtown instead. Check out the Indian Pueblo museum across the street if you have a few hours.

I read a great article that recommended this place and the price was pretty good via a 3rd party site. I love historical buildings. What was great and convincing: A shuttle to and from the airport. So convenient. 1 less thing to stress. Easy phone call and I was picked up by a friendly face. Shuttle to locals within 3 miles of the hotel. This got us to old town, nob hill, downtown. It wasn't always available but uber wasn't much and uber was pretty easy. But we did use the shuttle a few times. Super and always friendly. The hotel rooms are comfy, the halls and atrium are so relaxing, back patio was so beautiful to just sit and relax. I love the old details that were preserved. Watching the birds, including a hawk land on the fountain- priceless. Hot tub was a perfect temp for my sore legs(I came for a race). Breakfast was good- lots of choices. Nothing too fancy but the quiches were tasty. The rooftop views- spectacular. This was a selling point in my search. I enjoyed it but I won't include the restaurant as part of my review. I'm just including the view at sunset and night views are beautiful. The best part- the staff at the front desk! They were so friendly - very genuine. I felt like they were a hotel family we were visiting. Rick, Erin, Martin, Lucinda- all so amazing. Thank you for the shuttle rides, chats, recommendations, and local knowledge. It was a pleasure just to see you all downstairs. As a person that used to work in hospitality, your demeanor and attitudes were top notch. I worked at a 4 diamond resort and spa and I felt just as welcome here. Thank you! I hope to stay with you in the future.
