A Beautiful place, with beautiful purpose, run by beautiful people…read more Recently, I had the pleasure of staying at El Cuervo ABQ Guest Rooms along with several friends that were meeting me in Albuquerque for an event. I began looking at hotels and rentals when I discovered El Cuervo ABQ Guest Rooms. I reached out to the owners since their booking calendar was only unlocked so far in the future (which is typical for lots of places). They responded quickly to my inquiry about booking a room 6+ months in advance and made it possible. The communication was excellent between them and myself (as well as the others in my party). The home is on the Federal Historical Registry and was built in 1897. The room, bathroom and common areas were incredibly clean. There was a stocked coffee area and nice breakfast area. Our group utilized the breakfast area every morning and the front porch every night. It was amazing being able to have all of our party staying in the same home with these shared common areas. I stayed in the "I Love Mary Jane" room which had a balcony for those that love "Mary Jane" or perhaps a cigar. There was a queen bed with clean, crisp sheets, an A/C unit to keep the room cool in the hot ABQ summer, a smart TV that I could use to login to my various streaming accounts, but also there were plenty of "Free TV" options on it as well. There was a mini fridge in the room that had a few complimentary bottles of water and local beers. The bathroom had quality towels and a shower with fantastic water pressure. El Cuervo ABQ location is fantastic. It's a short walk or a very affordable rideshare to Old Town, (lots of restaurants, entertainment, and shopping), museums, the ABQ BioPark, the crossroads of Route 66, etc. My friends and I occupied 5 of the 6 rooms over the span of a week - with some of our folks arriving later or leaving earlier, so we did the opportunity to meet others staying at the guest house during our stay. Everyone was very friendly in passing! All of us in my party were thrilled with the accommodations and if we found ourselves in Albuquerque/Santa Fe area again, we would absolutely reach out to Brad Leigh & Stephanie to stay here again! Brad Leigh & Stephanie - Thank you for making our trip to the southwest so much more enjoyable and memorable!

The owner is by far the hostess with the mostess and my whole family can't wait to book a staycation together! This location is so rich with local history - and colorful spirits! - that it is a must for everyone local or passing through! I am just sad that I haven't been here in person yet! That has been a huge oversight and mistake on my part. The rooms are the right combo of creepy and comfort! I would live here if I could! This is my new favorite spot in Albuquerque! And I'm such a fan girl when it comes to the owner! She's such a strong, empowering example of a business owner. She's exactly the right person to own a place like this! It would not hold the same charm without her!

I came up for work and needed some where to stay. I found this super cute boutique hotel and saw…read morethe fabulous reviews. I saw they were celebrating 100 years in ABQ and took advantage of a phenomenal offer they had for the 100 year celebration. Win-win. It's a great location. Staff was very welcoming upon arrival. The lobby was quaint and I received a nice history lesson that this hotel actually used to be a hospital. I arrived 10 minutes before the Apothecary opened & before happy hour. I really appreciated that you need a hotel keycard to access the hotel room floors but you can go directly to the Apothecary. Also, you can use stairs between the hotel floors but not between the first floor to the other floors. Except, of course for fire/emergency purposes. I will review the Apothecary separately. My stay here was very comfortable. It was quiet. I felt safe. I didn't have any concerns while I was here which was great as a single woman staying here & knowing the crime rate in ABQ. My Jeep was also secured over night. No issues or concerns. The bath products were CO Bigelow lavender & peppermint. Heavenly combo. The body lotion was THICK!!! Oh my gosh, it felt great. The soap was also wonderful & didn't leave a film, which I didn't expect that it would given the quality from this company. The shower in the room was nice & spacious. The water pressure was really nice & the temperature was HOT & perfect. I mean, if you, as a woman, don't get out of the shower pink, did you really even shower? Lol. The robe in the bathroom was great! I almost never put on the robes but something about this called out to me & I was compelled to put it on. It delivered!! So comfy & so soft. There was a second one tucked away in the closet. The bed was comfortable the floor and space was quiet. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it.

Time to update my review after 10.5 years. =O…read more Ok, so about a week ago, they changed the pet policy to no longer allow cats. We had booked our reservation with 2 cats before the policy change was made, so they graciously accommodated my 2 cats who came to visit, Duncan and Pippin. Apparently, cats were causing too much damage. =( I made sure that my cats were watched and behaved, and if we weren't in the room, they were secured with food and water. They were good boys for being the last two cats to stay here. On to the hotel. I enjoyed my stay here once again. The room was comfortable. It is convenient to the airport and downtown. There is free parking, and it's right off the Big I, so it's easy to get around town. The breakfast wasn't as good as I remembered. They had Bigelow tea, and i forgot to bring my own, so i didn't drink tea (I don't like Bigelow). But the other selections at breakfast were just fine. Fresh fruit, instant oatmeal, pastries, fritattas, yogurt. The staff were all so friendly. They helped with luggage. They asked about the cats and apologized about the policy change. We appreciated all the staff.
