A huge hit! Alan and Noah were so professional and friendly. The food was AMAZZZING! The setup was on point! Everyone at the party was asking for their info and talking about using them for their upcoming events. I hope they do! My event was in Walnut Creek, so I did have to pay a travel fee, but it was definitely worth it! And I love that I was able to pick out a table cloth color too! read more

The El Compa Cali team was INCREDIBLE for a group of over 100 at our private residence. The team was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. They went the extra mile in every way - setting up a beautiful table, leaving us with a full fridge of leftovers, and of course bringing down the house with memorable and delicious Quesa Birria tacos. THANK YOU! Can't wait to have you again. read more

We hired El Compa Cali for a corporate event of 100 people last month and everyone was so impressed. They came early, had a wonderful set up and served DELICIOUS food with a smile. The quesabirrias were such a hit. And I'm glad they weren't greasy like other places. If you're looking for professional catering folks - I highly recommend El Compa Cali! read more

El Compa Cali catered an event for me on the hottest day this summer & they did it with professionalism and a smile on their faces. The food was delicious and their presentation nothing sort of exquisite. Alan and team are a pleasure to work with and I recommend them anyone looking for a catering team. As a customer, I did not need to worry about anything- they came well in advance to get set-up and served the food quickly (one no likes a long line especially on a hot day!). I never needed to ask to have anything refilled or refreshed- they were on top of it. He packages up all the leftovers when wrapping up as well. So good for a host once they actually get to sit down and enjoy their food. Thank you for taking away the stress of my daughter's birthday! read more

We had Alan and his team for our Mexican/Greek wedding and EVERYONE loved the food! Alan was very responsive, professional and flexible. I felt really lucky that there were some leftovers for me to continue eating at the recalentado the next day. I recently attended a birthday party that had El Compa Cali cater. The food was delicious. We had tacos, rice, beans, chips, and 2 aguas frescas. I couldn't decide if I liked the horchata better or the cucumber lemonade so I kept getting refills on both and surprisingly skipped out on the alcohol instead . Alan and Alé were extremely friendly and had great attitudes. A+++++ taquero! Highly recommend read more

My husband & I tried El Compa Cali at a birthday event and immediately wanted them for our future baby shower. They're located in San Jose but were willing to travel to Foster City ($70 for the travel fee) for our event. They were responsive to inquiries through text and communicated with us leading up to the event. We really appreciated the fact that they came to set up, decorate, pack leftovers, and clean up -- making it truly a full-service experience. They even have table cloth covers offered to match your event theme if desired (we chose yellow to match our sun theme). We had tacos (quesabirrias, consome, al pastor, and carne asada), drinks (aqua fresca strawberry - my fave and horchata), rice, beans, grilled peppers, grilled onions, salsa nara (mild AND spicy), salsa verde (mild), toppings (onion, cilantro, limes), plates, cups, napkins, and cutlery. They make it fresh in front of you so everything is warm when you eat it, too. All the guests enjoyed the food, drinks, and set-up! We kept hearing praise from everyone even after the event. We paid a total of $2,270 and tipped them for the excellent service. We definitely recommend and will have future events with Alan and his business again! read more

My daughter's friend recommended El Compa Cali for our catering needs at a graduation party at the park. She had seen what a beautiful set up they had in an Instagram post and asked her how the food was, and she said it was amazing. El Compa Cali exceeded our expectations with their festive presentation, excellent service and delicious food! They were incredibly friendly and efficient from the time we booked! I wish I had taken some pictures...but basically what you see on their social media page with the festive Mexican glass jars and tablecloths comes included. Their set up really helped create a nice ambiance at the park. Our guests were raving about how good the food tasted and took their information for future needs. We got the combo package and would recommend that! All in all, 10/10! They were truly amazing and I know I will be using them again and again! read more

There are not enough words to say how awesome Alan and his Nephew were. They came in, set up and began preparing the food, they were courteous, personable and very professional. The food was amazing, it did not disappoint. My Sister in Law is very particular about her Mexican food and she had nothing but raves about how great the food was. It was a Birthday party with close to 100 people and everyone had nothing but great things to say about the food. My Hat is off to Alan and his Nephew. Keep up the great work. read more

The BEST of the BEST! Hired them for a recent party and I've never heard so many compliments about the food and set-up. The response from my inquiry was super quick and setting up the catering was a breeze. They touched base a couple of days before and showed up early to set everything up. We did quesabirria and tacos. The quesabirria were probably the best we've had. Taco's and meat were super flavorful and the salsas were so good. Everyone kept complimenting the food and decorations that they set up. For sure keeping their information for future and would recommend them 100% read more

El Compa Cali catered a large backyard party at our home over the summer, and they were AMAZING! Everyone absolutely loved the food, and we enjoyed the leftovers as well. It is not just an average "taco cart." Everything from their set up to their flavoring is elevated. Our guests were raving about the food. Their set up was also so impressive. They practically set up a restaurant kitchen in our backyard and then had it cleaned up like nothing happened. They packaged the leftovers nicely for us at the end of the night, so we had minimal clean-up. I would definitely recommend them for any event and look forward to working with them again!! read more

Top notch from start to finish. Worked with us via Instagram for a very simple and easy inquiry process. They were quick to respond and very professional. Leading up to the day of our event they checked in with us to reconfirm all the details. On the day, they made sure to let us know when the team would arrive to set up. They brought everything you'd think you might need for their set up, tables, serving tools etc, plus all the service ware. Paper plates, napkins, disposable forks and even brought their own trash bins. Once set up it was gorgeous, food and Avia frescos were delicious and all my guests thought it was fabulous. When done they cleaned up fast and left us with all our leftovers packaged up. Truly a five star experience read more

My friend had this place at her baby shower and it was FIRE! Everything was made fresh right in front of us. The food was so good. All of the meats were juicy and had so much flavor. OKAY! WOW. We were serviced by Alan and his sweetheart sister for our work holiday party. We had Quesabirrias, consome, asada, and El pastor tacos, beans and rice. We also had some sandia agua (FIRE) and horchata. LET ME TELL YOU... EVERYTHING was so so so good. I'm a taco freak and had many many tacos and El Compas tacos are extremely delicious. The salsa was a bomb as hell and the consome was so so so great. They are friendly, professional, and they were on time and served at the EXACT time we had requested. Their decorations are a sweet touch! Im not a huge asada person but that asada was seasoned so perfect. I had 4 barria tacos and 3 asada tacos AND 2 El Pastor! Everyone at work had great things to say about them! Im so very pleased with their service that i had officially added them to our list of caterers! I will 1000% recomend them to anyone who asks. Thank you both so much for making our Holiday Party the best one yet! read more
