When I sent out my request for a quote he made it very simple with a few package options. Everything is written out clearly. The food and set up for the salsa bar was beautiful. 12/10 recommend El Compa Cali! I hired their services to cater a worker's union party for 65 people last month, and everyone was raving about the food. One of the main reasons I chose to work with El Compa Cali was because of how much was included with their packages, which made it well worth the investment. I went with the largest option which included two types of taco meats, quesabirras with consume, rice, beans, salsas, two types of agua frescas, my choice of color for the tablecloths, as well as cups, plates, and cutlery. Also, they have a beautiful set up with vibrant decorations and display signs, it just took everything to the next level. I communicated with Alan, who made everything really easy and was very responsive. I had reached out to El Compa Cali very last minute for this event which was being held outdoors up Highway 35 on a very cold night, and I greatly appreciated their willingness to take on our request! They were very professional and friendly, and I really appreciated that their final invoice included gratuity so that I didn't have to think about it on the night of the event and payment was taken care of in advance. I can't say enough about the food, everything was DELICIOUS and if you can upgrade to add the quesabirras for your event, DO IT! The quesabirras were easily everyone's favorite, and I had gone with carne asada and chicken for the taco options which folks loved as well. The sides were tasty, all the fixings were fresh, and at the end of food service they packed everything up for us to keep. We recently had our annual company picnic in San Carlos, and choosing El Compa Cali as our caterer turned out to be an excellent decision! After considering several options, we're thrilled with the choice we made. The variety of tacos was fantastic, including Carne Asada, Pollo Asada, Garlic Shrimp, Fajita Veggies, Papas a la Mexicana, and Nopalitos a la Plancha--all cooked to order and enjoyed by everyone. The real highlight, though, was the Quesabirrias and Consommé. They were so memorable that people are still talking about them! In addition to the tacos, we had an array of delicious sides like Rice, Beans, three types of salsas, Guacamole, Chips, Grilled Serrano Chiles & Onions, Green Salad, and Esquites. Everything was perfectly seasoned and flavorful! El Compa Cali was also incredibly accommodating with specific dietary restrictions and provided separate grills for meat and veggie options. Plus, most of their menu items are gluten-free. The buffet was presented beautifully, with colorful tablecloths, zarapes, authentic cazuelas and flowers. So many special touches! To keep everyone cool on the nearly 90-degree day, they served refreshing aguas frescas (Horchata and Cucumber Lemonade), along with a cooler full of water, sodas, and Jarritos.
