This place is the bomb I am mad I didn't take a picture to post but it's really good. The asada is bomb. The birria is so flavorful and the Alambres smack. The dude that runs it is so nice. Their service is typical of a food truck, it the owner once gave me birria de res when it was cold for no reason. The ambiance is the street but what am I supposed to say about a street side truck? I wanted to hate this place as the menu has spelling errors and there are no prices. Checking meats they had some off tge cuff ones so nabbed two tacos and a queso birria taco as well. Took a bit to get them but all were meat packed and delicious. Also prices were good (not sure each item but it was right around $9. Also had crispy chips with beans on the plate too. Only complaint is the salsa was given to me in the little baggies you would buy cocaine or meth in. read more

This is one of my fave Taco spots in the area. There are several options locally, but this place is so low key and awesome that makes it a hidden gem hidden in plain site with a parking availability that is rare here in L.A. I would recommend their shrimp tacos and birria tacos along with some of their other items that I have to look up cause I forgot atm their names. Go check it out if you find yourself in the neighborhood. They even have birria ramen lol . I haven't try that yet so I can't say if it is amazing or not. The dude that works there is pretty chill and friendly as well so bonus. Great customer service and foodz. read more

We were so excited to try their tacos de birria con queso tonight at an event at church. It's fun to have a food truck while enjoying friendships and a great message. So we ordered an order of tacos de birria con queso and an order of chicken tacos a la carte. Total around $31. When we got home and opened the well-tied bag, we were saddened to discover that they did not give us the birria tacos. Instead, the bag contained two plates of a la carte chicken tacos plus a small cup of the consomme that was supposed to go with the birria tacos. So, $31 for 4 a la carte chicken tacos. It was too late to drive back tonight, and we couldn't find a phone number to call them. read more

My SO and I were ravenous when we drove up. This truck smelled amazing and our stomachs began to growl as we looked over the menu. My SO went with asada street tacos and I went for the Tepozteco Alambre. If you ever are conflicted between wanting a Philly Cheese steak and Mexican food, alambres have you covered. So. Freaking. Delicious! Not only was it hot and fresh but the portioning was generous! The plate I ordered could easily satisfy 2-3 people for $10! El Chiris is an undiscovered gem--it's posted up next to the Walgreens, and is unique for being a very clean, and bright food truck while also being affordable. The food is pretty dang superb. Take the mulita--other trucks make them about the size of a small taco--but here they are massive! And much more full of delicious veggies, melty cheese and savory carne of choice. There's a lot of options on the menu, and have yet to try it all. The last thing to mention is the salsa. I've never seen salsa like they make--two cups of bright green and orange sauces that pack the spice and have a great consistency. The staff is always pleasant, and the Walgreen's parking lot makes it super convenient. Check them out! read more

This food is not normally found in the LA area. Try it, it is delicious. I know... ...it sounds like paid advertising but it is not (see my other reviews of other businesses, I am fair). Promise you will enjoy their food and everything else mentioned above I tried this Morelos style food for the first time at El Chiris. My wife and I fell in love with it. We have been there four times in two weeks (we live 20 minutes away - in Glendale- .). I highly recommend their alambres and tacos. My favorite alambres in order of preference: Tepozteco, Clasico, Chiris. I understand that the Chiris is the most popular and I liked it. I really enjoyed a taco al pastor. Amazing food! I had the alambres el chiris, mixed meats with pineapple and cheese. Spectacular! My daughter had a taco pastor, and her husband ordered a mulitas. They were given a sample of broth while they were waiting in the cold and said it was wonderful. So happy to know about this gem in my neighborhood! read more
