We were seated, given our menus, and a few minutes later, our drinks were served, and we ordered our meals. I proceeded to get a salad as we waited for our meal. My wife and I noticed several tables had received their food even though they were seated well after us. When I asked a different server (since our original server never came to check on us after bringing our drinks) about the status of our meal after waiting over a half hour, she went to investigate and returned stating that our food will be out in a couple of minutes. Our food arrived at 9:47 pm, right as we decided to pay for our drinks, salad,and leave. We spoke with management, who seemed to not have a care. The excuse given was that my steak was so large that it took longer to cook. I didn't order a Brontosaurus sized steak, I ordered a fillet. My wife and I are from the USA and have been in Spain for 2 weeks on vacation. This restaurant (La Hacienda) in Peguera came highly recommended but ended up being the worst experience.

It was an a great combination, but I noticed the lamb was a bit rare and I'm not sure if this may have caused a slightly upset stomach afterwards. (It was still worth the taste though!) Both the burger and filet came with a side. I decided to keep the fries (the default) while my sister picked grilled veggies. We also ordered a salad (8€) which was pretty generous in size. Before the meal, we were given bread, olives, some type of delicious creamy spread, and some chimichurri sauce. The olives were outstanding! By the end of the meal, we were too full for dessert, but I do recall seeing a few interesting offerings. Since it was a Friday night, I had called ahead to make a reservation, but turns out there were a fair number of seats available in the downstairs area. We may have been there on the earlier end of the evening. Our server was friendly and spoke English fluently. Overall, glad I found this restaurant!
