I have traveled extensively all around Spain and no where else have I met such extremely rude people, the people who work here. We show up and ask for sunbeds with umbrellas, instantly we are denied with the explanation that everything is booked up and that we should have booked in advance. The lady working here we had the displeasure of interfacing with said even if some beds look empty, they are still taken and the people using them are simply out to lunch.
So we ask to rent some towels since we want full sun anyways and we don't need the service of a beach club. We wanted to come to the public beach and simply forgot our beach towel to sit on. While we stand near the employee hangout, we put on sunscreen before heading to the beach. During this time, two other parties of 3 people show up and ask for beds. They are serviced immediately. The unfortunate lady we spoke with earlier comes back and I ask her why she gave beds to those people when she explained to us before how everything is booked up and how we should have booked in advance. She says it must have been an understanding. No, you're just rude and not only that but a straight up liar.
A third party shows up asking for beds and they again are offered them, but they want a cheaper option and go to the other side of the beach to get chairs for just 30 euro each. As they walk away the workers at this beach club call them "Pobres"... quite shocking behavior from Spaniards I have NEVER seen anywhere in all my weeks traveling around this usually marvelous and friendly country.... Funny to be calling these people visiting here poors when you work at a beach club and make one fifth or probably even less the amount of money of anyone affording to come to Mallorca on holiday....you can't make this stuff up, folks.
They also called me the b word in Spanish thinking we could not understand them. Pathetic.
Anyways, if you choose to be a patron here, keep in mind they offer (or withhold) service and charge based on your appearance, we heard one party being offered 70 euro per chair and another being offered 52 euro per chair. The workers here have no shame and are probably pocketing the extra money unbeknownst to management/the owner. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! read more
