We actually were trying to go to the food truck/gas station Mexican restaurant but it was closed. So we stayed close and tried El Cazador (The hunter). It's very big and pretty from the outside. I was scared when we got in because no one helped seat us for a few minutes. Then someone came out of the kitchen to help. They were not in a hurry to serve us either. Salsa was spicy and good ! And horchata was amazing! Food was pretty expensive for typical Mexican food. Like 12-16$ a plate. (In my town we can get it for $8-$12) The food tasted good and we got really full for the amount. Overall okay! read more

El Cazador - Good question. It was supposed to be a Mole Chicken. It was some over cooked chicken ( I think) with some warmed up Canned Mole sauce. - Mexican Near Me - Tifton, Georgia

Not really sure what to say... Maybe I shouldn't say anything, but here I go.... -The salsa is just liquid. Some chunk would go a long way.... BUT it was free. -The chips are free and decent. - I always judge a Mexican restaurant by it's chile relenting... um... um.... I'm actually quite speechless. To be honest, my stomach is hurting. The texture of the meat inside was not very pleasant. I believe the ground beef inside the pepper is blended and really kind of turned my stomach. -Waiter was ok. -this was my 2nd time eating here and thought I'd give it a second chance. -IF I return I will definitely get something different than this or last time. read more

Stopped by with a group of friends driving from Georgia to Florida. Don't expect authentic Mexican food here, you're setting the bar too high. It's your typical Tex-Mex trying to be 40/60. For a large group the service was great! Everyone was satisfied with their order and the portion size was very American. They got the protein in my order wrong but I was too hungry to send it back. read more

We were on our way to Atlanta airport to pickup our daughter and had to stop for something to eat. It was really good. My husband had the Steak Mexicans and it had wonderful taste and smoking hot jalapeños, so beware if you can't eat spicy stuff!! It was hot!! I had a taco that was really good. We'll definitely have to check it out again soon!! And to top it off they helped us get out the doors. I'm in a wheelchair and they were very helpful even though they were busy doing other things. That says that they care. And that's rare these days. read more

Poor service. Very slow. All of the patio tables were filthy and covered with old chips. Asked if they could wipe down one of the patio tables, and nobody would wipe down a table, so we ultimately had to sit inside. There was also an ash tray on one of the tables with old cigarette butts in It. Enchilada was gross, and was in a gross tortilla. Did not taste or look like an enchilada, actually wasn't even able to eat it. I had to go get our own chips and salsa, the server didn't bring them out when we asked for them. Did not get my water refilled. Several of the staff were coughing (almost the entire time), and may have been ill. The pollo Rico was amazing, and that's the only reason this restaurant gets 2 instead of 1 star. read more

I gave this place a couple of chances. Food is bland compared to other Mexican restaurants in town. Service was ok. There are way better restaurants to eat at in Tifton. Overrated. read more

Drove thru before Halloween and we loved that the decor was great.. they went all out with hanging life sized ghosts and all. We knew that if they took that much pride in the decor that they would do the same with the food. We kept it safe and ordered the mixed fajita plate and it was delicious so we regretted it ordering other plates to enjoy. Definitely, a must try. read more

This use to be a decent place to eat but now it is so short staffed it's sad. Not exceptionally clean in the bathroom nor the dining area either. There is an air of 'we just don't care' among the staff. Will choose another Mexican restaurant next time. read more

Ok, so let's start by saying that I've been to many Mexican restaurants all over the nation. This one is far from authentic. To begin with the restaurant is too big for the employees. Why do I say that? Because the floor is not well managed by the abundant staff to clients ratio. I had to ask a server to be seated. I was not greeted when I entered. Once I sat down I only had a menu to stare at, for a while before I was acknowledged. No utensils placed on the table. I ordered fajitas, guacamole, and a margarita. The fajitas arrived with no utensils or tortillas with the plate. No guacamole no Margarita. I had to ask. Staff seems very young and inexperienced. The food? Sloppy and not well seasoned. In conclusion, stop and skip this place. Not worth it. read more

We came in at 6:30, were seated, chips were put at our table and at 7:15 we left. Not one staff person ever made eye contact or offered even water. Chips and salsa are really good. The chimichanga shredded beef is a little to salty for my liking and I like salt but the shell was really good. Now the margarita's are awesome!!!!!! If you are making a nightly stop in Tifton, GA or just driving through this is definitely a must stop in and try. They put just the right amount of tequila in these margarita's you'll definitely have to try to appreciate. Ask for Salina as a server, she is just amazing. read more

There is no good Mexican food where we live so we have to stop somewhere in Georgia on our way back to Florida. This place was perfect for the trip. Good food, great price, attentive service. Cheese dip was on point and i built my own combo. read more

We stopped in while driving down to Miami while moving, the food was surprisingly really good for what looks like more of a dive type restaurant. The staff was very sweet, super easy service, and really great prices! I was apprehensive because we are picky about our Mexican food but would definitely recommend when passing through! (Shrimp Dishes were by far the best, salsa and guacamole weren't memorable) read more

Food was decent, beer cold, prices very reasonable, but service is lacking. We stopped here for lunch (3 adults, 2 kids). Bill before tip was $40 and that included a beer. Pretty good. We got a variety of dishes (taco salad, burrito, steak, enchiladas and chicken fingers). Food didn't have a lot of seasoning, but definitely edible. Food = B- Service on the other hand was not good. I love how they put the most miserable girl as hostess seating people. Maybe she had other issues on her mind, but for the love of God, put that girl on toilet duty. Also, had to wait forever to get our bill and to check out. Service = D+ Overall = 2.5 stars. Will probably not be back. read more

I rarely ever give a restaurant five stars but this place deserves it. We stayed at a B&B in Fitzgerald and nothing was open Sunday night, so we ventured over to Tifton. We just stumbled into this place. Driving by the parking lot was packed so we figured what the heck? We ordered the fajitas with steak, chicken, shrimp and sausage. When it came it looked like two meals. Wife had glass of wine at $4 each. Total tab with tax was less than $30. What a deal. Great food. Great service. Great price. What more could you ask for? read more

Service SUCKS. Severely understaffed. I waited to be seated for 45 minutes on a TUESDAY night. Absolutely ridiculous.

The worst chicken soup ever, chicken broth is a staple in any good Mexican restaurant. It's usually clear or light yellow and has the taste of chicken. From there white chicken, rice, avocado & other vegetables. The chicken soup at El Cazador was a muddy brownish color & chicken was in curly pieces and dark meat. All I can think of is that they didn't make fresh broth & they made some with frijoles! Terrible idea.. Front desk hostess tried lecturing me on how every Mexican restaurant makes different chicken soup, Not a good idea on lecturing. Take the comment, act like you care & pass comments to higher ups read more

Quite honestly, the food is very good. I've eaten here a handful of times and have narrowed my favorite to the bean dip appetizer and Texana Arroz as my main dish. However, with every visit I have high hopes that the serving time will get better!! 15 minutes to get a drink...tea to be specific and 50 minutes to get our food. AND, we had to find the waitress at 15 minutes to have her take our order. Another nudging at 45 minutes to ask about our food. Oh, and our food? Bean & Cheese Nachos for 1 meal, the other a single taco and rice! What takes 50 minutes??? Unfortunately, this is not the exception..... read more

Taking into consideration the price- $9.99 carnitas plus $1.99 margarita- you can't go wrong- 5 stars. Bottomless bowl of chips- so if you are a large appetite - then fill up on chips because the portion sizes are in line with the price- lower than most. The carnitas are very good- moist with grilled onions. Rice and beans standard. Service great food fast- atmosphere pleasant. Nothing special but five stars based on my opinion that you definitely get your money's worth as far as quality and quantity! Will return and highly recommend- especially during the 5-7 pm happy hour. read more

We at here Thanksgiving Eve and both of us were adventurous and ordered things we never ordered. I had carnitas in a green chill sauce with rice and beans and my husband had Shrimp Texarkana. It was a busy nigh but when they finally told our waiter we were his table a KEVIN was wonderful. The food was excellent and full of flavor as well. We will make a a-point of using Tipton as a stop over point as long as this place is around. If we weren't leaving town this morning I would eat there again. OK it is now four days later and we stopped in on our way home. We asked for Kevin and once again had excellent service. I got a selection off of the "make your own combo" menu 5 items for $7.99. Flute, burrito, beans, Chile rellanos, and Huevos Rancheros. The huevos Rancheros was the winner in this selection it had crispy edges in a spicy sauce. My husband had Chori-Pollo a pounded chicken breast with chorizo and special sauce. We enjoyed everything and Kevin was efficient and wonderful again. read more

Stopped by on a trip from up north. We were seated immediately, and had chips and salsa within 20 seconds. The salsa was to spicy for my wife so we told the waiter and he immediately brought a milder one. We ordered the fajitas for two, which is a dinner we have at Coyote Rojos in Dade City, Florida. The taste and delivery were very much the same as we are accustomed to. It was delivered in a very reasonable time. I would recommend the restaurant highly. Price is very reasonable. $21.04 read more

After sitting down with my party of six, we were immediately brought chips and spicy salsa. This level of spiciness was extremely welcomed. The wait staff were attentive and accommodated my party's requests. However, the huevos and chorizo underwhelmed me. The eggs were far from fluffy and the chorizo's tiny particles were sprinkled on the dish as if it were added right before playing. The margaritas lacked alcohol proportions as evidenced by the overly sugared ice water blue rasberry that I ordered. What I did find at this place was a unique birthday celebration. This involves whip cream that is smeared onto the birthday person's face. read more

SO SLOW OMG, we've been sitting here for an hour. The waiter was nice but bad service.

Went on a recommendation from a friend (and other Yelp reviews)! Glad we did. Even though it was a Tuesday, this place was Hopping! lots of locals, too, and it's right off the exit, easy to find. Chips were fresh and perfect (and bottomless), the cheese dip had just a bit of a kick. not a big drink menu, but they had a good selection of beers. I had the pork carnitas-delicious and melt in your mouth tender. It came with rice and some of the best refried beans I've ever had. My mates had Texas fajitas-they're both big eaters, so they did individual plates, but should have done "for two", because they are huge servings. They do have a bar and games on a bunch of tvs, so this is probably a good spot to hang out if you're in town with free time. We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn and this is one exit up, a $12 cab ride. Note: they do not accept American Express and the cab company is cash only. read more
