    Ok salsa, not spicy

This seems like it may be a local hang-out to watch sports and have margaritas but I didn't get to do either of those things on this occasion since I visited quickly on a Sunday afternoon. Things I liked: The vibrant and over-the-top decor. The fast service. The cheese dip with a bit of spice to it. The cleanliness. The Atari joystick weird dish sink in the bathroom. The advertisement for an Elvis impersonator on the window outside. Things I didn't like: The Arroz con Mariscos had no indication on the entree description that it included peppers of any kind. I'm allergic to green peppers and had to pick all of them out, and there were quite a bit (this is actually--and oddly--something I have experienced at more than several Mexican restaurants). It was an ok dish, but the scallops were terribly small. I've had some of the best scallops at similar restaurants so, meh. The guacamole salad served with it was sad. Just no reason for it to be included. The guacamole I ordered for the chips was too smooth and way over salted. Inedible, no chucks or onion, avocado, etc. My husband's chile relleno was cold. He had to send it back. Otherwise, it was ok. If I was in the area and wanted a margarita or a taco, I'd probably go back but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again.

Got to enjoy El Cazador for lunch today on our way to the Sunflower Festival and it was just as good as I remember it being! I ordered a steak chimichanga (lunch portion) with Spanish rice. My significant other ordered the lunch portion of the Pollo Loco and it looked delicious! He said the sautéed mushrooms were great and the chicken was tender. Our friend ordered the lunch portion of the chicken fajitas and she also enjoyed her meal. She said the sautéed vegetables were seasoned well and were tasty. Lastly, the service was fast and our waiter was attentive. We hope to be able to visit again in the future!

The meals are reasonably priced (you can "build" your own meal starting at $10.99 for two items). My plate was barely warm but the manager reheated it. Temperature really improves flavor. The read sauce was delicious. I wouldn't order a quesadilla again but I will try other items on another visited. The burrito was yummy. One of my guests had the chicken fajita. There was only one tiny piece of broccoli in her veggies. She only orders this item and it was the first time it was just passable and not extraordinary. (Her four time winning streak ended) The place is comfy. If you get chilly, pick a table not directly beside the doors. The staff is nice. Even in chilly weather, the place was filling up during "rush hour." I can only imagine how crowded this place gets in the summer. I rate this place a B. There is something for everyone. You can order decent Mexican food that isn't as great as Cancun Restaurant. (But we don't have to travel as far)

Daleville seems to have a wealth of wonderful restaurants where one can go to enjoy an amazing dining experience. Today, I decided to invite a good friend of mine and go try it out. We arrived early to have an early dinner, since I called ahead of time and they told me they were closing early at 6:00pm. We arrived at around 4:00pm on a beautiful sunny day with blue sky and white clouds. We conveniently parked in their parking lot and walked up the stairs that went to the entrance of the restaurant. Before reaching it we passed by an area full of white and gray rocks, and little Christmas tree and a small statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe. She symbolizes God's love and care for humanity. After entering the restaurant and waiting for a short while in front of the Host's station, the host came by and greeted us with a warm welcome, and took us to one of several dining rooms and asked us to take a seat in one of the booths, as he handed us a copy of the menu. The menu was spiral-bounded, with nice and straight fonts and colors photographs of some of the main items in it. An employee came by, and brought us some tortilla chips in a basket, with a small glass carafe full of freshly made salsa, and two small bowls to pour the salsa in. Both the chips and salsa were some of the best that I've ever had at a Mexican restaurant. The chips were fresh, thin, and crispy, while the salsa was somewhat chunky with just the right spiciness. The the server came by and took our order. To drink we both ordered a glass of iced water. To eat my friend ordered a steak Fajita Quesadilla, and I ordered a Fajita Quesadilla Texana with steak, grilled chicken and grilled shrimps. The food arrived and it was amazingly delicious and plentiful. You can confirm this by looking at the photographs accompanying this review. And the sides including the rice and beans, with the lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guacamole, perfectly completed the Quesadilla. I enjoyed every bit of it. For dessert we both ordered Churro Cups. It was a cup made out of churros that were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, filled with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and a cherry. What a way to finish off an amazing dining experience. In a short while this restaurant has become one of my favorites Mexican restaurant. The combination of original and tasteful decor, the best fresh chips and salsa, quality meats seasoned and cooked just right, and excellent customer service, makes it the ideal Mexican restaurant, which I highly recommend to all who are reading my review. I'm sure you're going to love it, and enjoy an extraordinary dining experience.

We had high expectations due to the high rating and delicious looking pictures online…read more Unfortunately, the food we received (which was VERY expensive, by the way, and prices for most items were not on the menu) was subpar. We ordered the al pastor tacos with rice and beans, chicken tacos, asada tacos, and asada torta. The good stuff: service was friendly, the wait wasn't too long, and the portions were good (the torta was GIANT). The atmosphere outside would probably be nice at night (they have outdoor seating, tables, lights). The torta was the best thing we ordered, it was good! Unfortunately, all the meat we got was dry and unseasoned. In the torta it was masked by all the other ingredients, but all of the tacos are more simple, so the unseasoned meat couldn't be covered up. The pork on the al pastor was so dry and flavorless I couldn't force myself to take more than a couple bites. The rice and beans also tasted unseasoned and flavorless which was very disappointing. All of this wouldn't have been so disappointing if it wasn't extremely expensive (we are visiting from DC and even street tacos there are cheaper!). We were expecting high quality for a meal that was almost $70 total (9 tacos with one side of rice and beans, one torta, and a soda).
