Service was very polite and super quick. There were only a few customers when we first sat but then the lunch rush started to come in from the downtown workers and we never felt neglected once. I love a simple Huevos Ranchero plate and this was delicious, you have the option for bacon, ham or a pork chop and the price is very good for everything. This was the last restaurant I ate at while living in San Antonio and I'm so glad we decided to try this spot. If you haven't been, please go. I stumbled across El Castillo by accident around 1:30pm on a Wednesday trying to find another restaurant, and I'm so happy I did. I got the cheese enchiladas for lunch with a side of rice and borracho beans. Omgggg the beans were so tasty. They were seasoned well with fresh peppers, tomatoes, and onions and had a fresh taste. The rice was amazing too. The entree also came with a side of 2 tortillas and I got 2 of the freshest flour tortillas ever. The chips and salsa is more authentic than your typical place. Salsa tasted fresh and not too spicy but still flavorful. Chips were a bit thicker than normal but I think because they were fresh and authentic. My boyfriend got their bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast tacos. You choose either corn or flour tortilla. Holy crap $1.50 for these huge tacos, AMAZING DEAL! Boyfriend said they were delicious. Overall they have great, reasonable prices with a wide range menu. The main reason I'm giving 5 stars is because the service was amazing. Donna was my waitress and she always made sure I had everything I needed, refilled my iced tea promptly, brought me any and all condiments I might need for my food, and she was just overall very friendly.
