One burrito had almost everything my wife wanted, she suggested another, with a slight substitution. And the Burrito Amigo was a hit. She ordered it with steak, which was tender and flavotful. I had the Taquitos Tipicos, great choice, I wish it came with beans and rice instead of all rice- but I didn't ask. Still very flavorful and done perfect. The pico was outstanding, I can't do a lot of spice, the pico was mild with all the flavors coming through, not just heat. My wife loved the margarittas, and you can't go wrong with cold Dos Equis. Sopapillas for desert topped the evening. I can't say enough about the service and attention, not over bearing, but they check frequently. I think very reasonably priced especially considering the service. Give them a try, Palenque will now be our go to Mexican when we're in town.

I am El Gordo Grande which gives me the uncanny ability to rate the El Gordo bowl... I liked it! Service after my order was taken, was good... and my check was paid at the table (didn't make me go to the register). I suspect the initial issue was caused by a distracted staff with friends visiting the establishment. Perhaps it was the result of me being in the door a minute after opening too.
