This restaurant smelled musty and was kinda dirty when we walked in. The carpet wasn't clean and the furnishings were not well kept. We stayed because of some of the good reviews. Ray ordered beef taquitos and i ordered the tacos al carbon. Mine were acceptable but not outstanding. The taquitos were burned and stringy. The Spanish rice tasted burned and the beans were runny and bland. The drinks we ordered were not delivered as ordered and both had to be sent back. The server was sweet though. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes or something, but if you go, don't order the taquitos. They're terrible. This was one of the very rare times we turned down the boxes for the leftovers. Probably the best Mexican food in Enumclaw coupled with possibly the worst service. The waiters and bartenders make you feel as though you're wasting their time. I am any easy, undemanding diner and am very forgiving when it comes to service mishaps ( see my other reviews!) but this is ridiculous! El Camino (Spanish for "the camino"), is walking distance from my house and therefore I have gone many many times, but the inconsistencies of good food and poor service are finally too much and I probably won't be back. Ranchito 2, right up the street, serves Americanized "smashed beans and rice" smothered in cheese, but at least you can get a killer margarita coupled with great service and fun waitstaff. Try it instead. For food, I give 4 stars: best fish tacos ever. For service: 0 stars. Sorry, they suck. Averages out to 2 stars, but that still seems kinda high... Side note: at el camino, they don't mix a drink very well. If you go, make sure that you order bar beverages in bottle or shot form. Margaritas are NOT supposed to be straight sweet and sour with tequila and ice. Ew. read more

After a day hiking in Mt. Rainier we stopped in Enunclaw looking for a place to eat dinner. I found El Camino restaurant in Yelp and decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did because it is one of the best carne asada ever! I haven't found a place like this in Seattle. It is a family restaurant, not fancy or modern, but very friendly service and great food. I also tried the mole and it was too sweet and runny for my taste, however, much better than other restaurants. Will stop by again if I'm in the area. read more

The food is good and the service pleasant and prompt. The vegetarian burrito is made with while beans and fresh vegetables and without the dairy is a good vegan option, a rare occurrence in Enumclaw. And the serving are HUGE. The guacamole is very nice. Despite just opening up and being short staffed the waitress, hostess, bus boy was very pleasant and attentive and the kitchen was very quick. read more

The carne asada is very flavorful. The meat is tender and fairly thick. No the dried out stuff some places serve. My wife got the carne asada burrito and like it. The tortilla soup is great! We got it to go and the hooked up the salsa but they forgot my tortilla's. Just make sure you double check your order, it's the 2nd time this has happened. read more

Horrible food., just bland and no flavor whatsoever! Worse, two out of the four in our party got sick after eating their black beans. It came in a suspicious looking broth in a cup and we didn't think twice before consuming it. My 15 month old who ate a couple of those beans threw up in the middle of the night and got sick due to this food! Stay away at all costs! The best and most authentic Mexican restaurant in town. Much much better than the others. They have such a great menu of items and are very reasonably priced. Have dined in and done take out. Love getting the two chimichangas dinner as I will eat one there and take one home, so two meals for $15, can't beat that. read more

With 5 Mexican restaurants to choose from in our small town, everyone seems to have their favorite. Ours is clearly El Camino. Their el camino tacos are served Baja style with either chicken, carne asada, or adobada (pork). The simplicity of grilled meat, chopped onions, cilantro and a fresh squeeze of lime on warm soft corn tortillas takes us back to our favorite street food enjoyed on a trip to Chiapas, MX. Their pollo crema and a arros con pollo are both great. My wife likes their vegetable quesadilla & their beans are amazing. read more

Food is outstanding! My husband had the seafood soup the best we have found! We have tried tons is different Mexican restaurants ! I had the steak fajitas which are good as well. Our family loves El Camino! The portions are large, the prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly but not in-your-face. And the food is terrific! We go with small groups and large, and everybody has happy tummies when we leave. My father-in-law MUST have a glass of milk with dinner, and one night they were out of milk. Rather than saying sorry, out of milk, they actually ran out and got it for him. They saved the day!!! read more

Great food and awesome service. I had the cheese enchiladas and they were tasty. There was no pool of grease at the bottom, the enchilada sauce was perfect, and the ratio of cheese filling was great. The refried beans were some of the best I've had since living in Mexico, very authentic and the rice was very flavorful. The kids had beef nachos and the beef was very tender, flavorful, and a hint of something sweet. The tamale was wonderful and moist. Will definitely be back here again. read more
