At the moment you get to Chimi Tropical you feel like home, from the delicious smell that comes from their kitchen as you're approaching their food truck, the traditional music on the background, to German's excellent attention and welcoming behavior. You won't be dissapointed!!!. In over 13 years in the Tampa Bay Area I've tried many so-called "authentic Dominican Chimi" without any luck. They have by far the most variety of Chimi's in town (chicken, beef or pork). Their fried tostones with carne and empanadas (Cheese, chicken or ham and cheese) are made to perfection, without mentioning their morir soñando "die dreaming", which is truly a masterpiece.

El Rincon Dominicano is an okay place, but there are certain things about this place that turned me…read moreoff completely. I wouldn't recommend coming in early for breakfast because they never have much of a variety and considering there's not much to begin with, you would think that the food available should be at its best quality and unfortunately, it's far from supurb. I ordered the chicken and a side salad and it tasted like leftovers -- chicken tasted alive and the salad was very cold, so much so I felt my teeth tingle! I had also ordered a Morir Soñando (2) and it was distasteful. After I expressed my feelings on the drinks, they were not taken off my bill and the waiters did not try and rectify the situation. On top of all that, the food we were served was horrible to begin with and I didn't even have a drink to chug all my unhappiness down. If you decide to go to this establishment after reading this review, so be it. Just know if you don't like something you ordered you will end up paying for it regardless of what you think. Happy eating! :)

It was a DELIVERY ORDER from uber eats and the 2nd one was a pick up and my God what a disappointment. Even the place stinks like CRAP!!! Like their Septic tank blew up or something! The taste on the meat was good on mine food but my husband's not so good honestly and the rest SUCK!! 10/10 recomendado.
