The experience at the restaurant was a bit disappointing. The food was excellent; however, Sergio's service was appalling. After placing our order for takeout, we ultimately chose to eat at the restaurant. However, Sergio approached us, told us that we couldn't eat at the restaurant, and asked us to leave. When I questioned Sergio about why we couldn't, he didn't provide a clear explanation, just said "money-wise." As a restaurant worker, I believe it is important to be kind and attend to the needs of the customers, even if they change their minds. This was my first breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised. It's not a fancy place but the workers are friendly and the service is quick. There are simple booths as well as outdoor tables. It's very clean. The breakfast was simple and surpassed my expectations. Sausage and eggs were cooked perfectly to order. Not skimpy links but thick tubes of meat with a nice charred exterior and snap. Rice and beans were generously scooped on the plate to support the meal. Who needs toast and potatoes?! Choice of corn or flour tortillas. Of course chips and salsa to start. Salsa is tart, slightly smoky, with mild heat. Extra salsa available to enhance the eggs. Hmm, I wonder if this is why I decided to critique the restroom? So if you're lazy like me and can't get a table anywhere for breakfast, give it a try. There is a convenient parking lot. Perfect place for a quick and delicious lunch/dinner for the family. Prices are still somewhat reasonable, food is always out promptly, and the service is consistently friendly. We usually get one or two of their specials and share because they have large portions and comes with plenty of chips. Gets a bit busy during night time and the dining room is a bit small but theres always some room to dine in regardless. Parking lot has plenty of room. read more

Disgusted and disappointed. This location sucks. It's the closest to our house but other locations will be worth the drive, if we get LBJ again, after today. I usually get a #20, which is a wet bean and cheese burrito. Only about half the time it comes "wet", even when we specify when ordering "that comes wet, right"? So today not only did the burrito not come wet, but it also came with tin foil inside the burrito. And this isn't a burrito that is wrapped in foil, this is a meal that comes in a tin. I guess this is what I want when I crave Mexican food. This location in the Walteria section of Torrance has been here for years and years and it has always served up great tacos and burritos. I'm sure there are places more authentic or spicy or trendy, but who cares? I do take out exclusively but the dining area inside is tidy and comfortable. The junior deluxe chicken burrito is what I want 90% of the time, and 100% of the time it is fantastic! The other thing I order is "Special A" which is 4 tacos (get the crispy chicken, okay?!!!). Great tasting food, MASSIVE quantities, very friendly customer service. I had the Chile relleno with rice and beans, and it was smothered in cheese and very filling. The relleno was wrapped in a scrambled egg and tasted a bit tangy and sour. I've never had one before, so that was quite interesting. They provided plenty of salsa to further flavor the food, too. This is my usual go-to spot for fast casual Mexican food because it's close to where I live and the food is consistent. It's served a bit sloppy but tastes fine. I go on taco Tuesdays (and now Taco Thursdays) because it's 1/3 cheaper. The "crispy" tacos are never crispy. I like their shredded beef tacos the best but the shredded chicken tacos are also good. Their complimentary salsa has a nice heat. The tortilla chips would be better if they didn't serve them as a whole fried tortilla and cut them into chips shapes, but perhaps that's just "their thing." The service is usually passable. The last time I got take out, they messed up my order (giving 2 out of the 3 tacos I ordered) and when I came back, the cashier didn't seem surprised. She had them make me a third taco but she screwed up and told them the wrong meat. This wrong item business has happened 3 times, but over the course of 15 years and close to 50-60 visits. Done with this place!!! The food quality has been slowly degrading through time. This morning's breakfast burritos was the last straw! They were mostly bean and rice with very little egg and TONS of diced cubes of nearly raw chunks of fat. I'm not even sure it was from uncooked bacon, or if the cook thought he could use up various fat scraps in the burritos, because they were really thick chunks! So freaking disgusting!! I literally had to spit it out half chew,,, three times in a row before I figured out it wasn't just an uncooked piece of bacon! This was also the only time we've EVER gotten a breakfast burrito that was so greasy they were literally slipping out of our hands just trying to unwrap them. No idea how they even did that. I guess from the fat chunks inside? This used to be our #1 place for breakfast burritos but NEVER AGAIN. Being a loyal customer, I probably wouldn't have written this review if they would have dealt with this properly. When I called to tell them about this and ask for a refund, she insisted we bring the burritos back! My husband almost blew a gasket when I asked him to retrieve them from the trash to take them back. So, we didn't ruin our Saturday afternoon schedule dealing with a return, taking the $20 loss instead. I can't remember ever eating anything more disgusting. The chips were large, not the normal size so you have to break them to dip into the salsa, which was an excellent blend of flavor and heat. . Love coming here for the wet burritos and bean/cheese burrito combo. Portion sizes are big. Prices have gone up over the years though. They have orange bang here which I love as well. Also love their house made tortilla chips and salsa. Small private lot and seating area is small, so it may get packed as peak meal times. I usually get takeout here, they usually don't take too long getting orders ready Lately have been coming here to get my carne asada fries fix. It's an off menu item. The two girls on duty had ZERO personality and made mistakes in the order (corn tortillas instead of the requested flour). But the worst part is that I ordered a bowl of albondigas for $15.50. The picture in the menu and on the wall looked good and showed a variety of ingredients including a small corn cobette. The bowl that I got was worse than disappointing. There was no corn cob like in the picture, just a few slices of sour green vegetables that made the whole bowl of soup taste sour. I went to ask about the missing corn and the girl said they don't make it that way.
