The gown is from the Temptress Collection, & it's a bewitching gown, made of stretch velvet with chiffon ruffles to accent the off the shoulder neckline edged with velvet trim. It wasn't enforced upon walk in but I wanted to respect the business. I was really nervous putting my backpack in there as it is right in front of the door and anyone could just grab and go. That made me uneasy while shopping and it made me breeze through the store quicker than I had liked and I didn't get a chance to fully look. So right away one tip I would have for management is to put that bin behind the counter to ensure safety. In regard to the selection, this place is extremely eclectic and had vintage costume pieces as well as newer. There were novelty items, even some bondage costumes, period costumes, and just a lot of really fun pieces. The prices were right on point and didn't feel too costly. They have two dressing rooms that had really cute themes. For a small store, there were a lot of different rooms and nooks. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely go back. I just wouldn't bring a backpack or big bag that day.

I have been to Gypsy Treasure several times in the past, but this was my first visit since they have moved to the Grossmont Center location (apparently about five years ago). I came in about 5 days before Halloween, primarily in search of makeup and a crown for my Day of the Dead festival look. When I walked in, the place was pretty hopping. However, I was quickly greeted at the makeup counter and walked through the white face paint options, and given information about some of the various color palettes. After some conversation and deliberation, I chose a white water-based face paint and a couple of color palettes. One was glow-in-the-dark. I then asked about flower crowns, and was surprised to find that they only had one. It was one of those cheesy costume kits that came with skeleton hand gloves and skull earrings, neither of which I wanted. However, the price was pretty inexpensive, so I purchased it just for the crown. I looked around for a hat for my husband's costume, but couldn't find exactly what he wanted, though they had some pretty unique hats. Gypsy Treasure has a large selection of costumes for rent, which appeared to be of much higher quality than the costumes for sale. I saw several cute vintage dresses and hats for women, as well as some pretty elaborate costumes. I did feel that several of the costume items in the front of the store were the same quality you would get from any Halloween store. However, I would definitely return for makeup, or if I had costume needs outside of the Halloween season.

My husband Bought me a cat accessory the day be for yesterday. Wasn't the right one. Came in the next day to return it ( never been used, never opened, still in perfect condition). To my surprise, one of the managers helping me said this type of accessory is non refundable (even though on the receipt it says that it is...) I asked if I could have info. To get hold of their district manager. Would not give me anything. So, I called guest services and explained the situation. They tried to call the store, they wouldn't answer. Guest services ask that I email them my receipt and pictures of the items. So I did. Guest services then emails me back later that day saying "after speaking with the district store manager , it seems there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the condition of the item" and if I could provide more pictures.... I was so surprised because when I went in to turn in the item, the condition of the item was not even a conversation I had with two managers there, they both just looked at it and automatically said no, non refundable because they said these types of items are hard to sell... Cat ears, tail, and choker, in perfect condition and they don't want to refund me the item when on the receipt it saids they accept refunds, depending on condition of item with receipt until Oct.18th... Someone at that store is either lying and scamming customers from returning certain items... This is not ok. Thankfully after speaking with guest services I was able to return this item and receive a refund. So I will continue my business with this establishment because the guest services were very helpful and gave me great customer service and support and made up for the awful customer service I received from management yesterday.
