Bright and vibrant shop, filled with Mexican pottery and art, but I was a bit turned off when they told me I couldn't take photos. It didn't seem like these were original/signed pieces, so it didn't really make sense to me. Plus, this plaza is apparently going to be closing to make way for a shopping center or hotel. I'd think that any last-minute promo or photos shared around would help business. Either way, I would recommend this shop for their pottery and yard decor. My partner and I made a trip from SF to visit this place after seeing it on IG! I am so proud and happy that our Mexican roots have been brought back in a way that can appreciate our art and cultural heritage. They have a grand selection of ceramic Talavera plates, cups, shot classes, bowls, mugs, and more! They also have the classic platos de barro and even in bowl form. They even have piece of Barro Negro with little signs to explain how they're made and their history in Spanish and English so anyone can learn about it and appreciate it. There's also art pieces, decor, plant pots, and alebrijes in a glass case. I went with getting some pots in mind but all of them had a drainage hole with no matching base plate! I know I could get a basic one but it wouldn't match :( My partner wanted deeper platos de barro but they had already sold them unfortunately. The pricing is mid range. Cups range from $15-20, plates range from $10-25, vases range from $30-65, pots range from $15 for a small one up to $115 for a big one. Gotta keep in mind the cost to bring these authentic items from artisans in Mexico without it breaking! read more

They have the best selection of items to pick from for your house and yard. It was hard to choose. The prices are decent for what they are offering. The owner was extremely nice and very helpful. After being disappointed with the big box stores selections and prices I stumbled upon this place when looking for some nice Talavera for my wife for her birthday. What a wonderful place! They have a better selection, better service, and better prices than the big box stores! I found everything I needed very quickly. My wife loved what I got her and we immediately went back to find a gift for a friend. Unbeknownst to me, we had selected a pot that had a crack in it. What a great local Talavera shop in San Jose! It was set  up well with many  displays to see all the colorful  Talavera pieces. I fell in love with these 2 pieces - a  large burro pot holder  & and a tall bird bath with sunflowers and monarch butterflies. Teresa, the owner, was extremely sweet. She wrapped them extremely well and loaded them in my car. She told me she had lots more inventory and that they would be moving to a bigger location across the driveway in the same shopping center. I'm so happy with my purchses they are a great addition to my yard. I look forward to coming back for more pieces soon . read more

I actually wasn't able to enter the store because I have allergies and there was a strong perfume or incense smell that was making it difficult for me to breathe. :-( We got a very nice bird bath from them from the sidewalk display, but I was disappointed that I couldn't come in to see what else they had. Edit: I appreciate the business owner's reply regarding my respiratory sensitivities preventing me from entering the store, and the offer to remove them the day before was generous. If you're a fan of hand made ceramics from Mexico, this is a great place to visit. My dad and I found this shop tucked away from the street. You're likely to miss it if you happen to be driving by. They have a wide selection of ceramics and textiles at what I would say are fair prices. We struck up a conversation with the owners who were very friendly. They told us they regularly add new things and are hoping to have some festivities outside their shop in October. Definitely worth a visit! read more

There are many different options from pottery for plants, for food/drinks, clothing, accessories, etc. Their prices are really reasonable for great quality items. The store owners are so nice and very helpful! Teresa was helpful to me and several other customers, their customer service is outstanding! Her husband is also the owner and he is always kind, helps wrap up items and load them in your car. I will be getting all presents from here for my family and I can't wait to buy more items for my own casita as well. Go support them! I've been meaning to write a review about this cute store with beautiful Mexican pottery. I've been there several times now and each time have purchased gifts for my family or items for myself. Lots of nice, colorful pottery to hang on your fence! Really the like the store and the owner. Wish they weren't so hidden at Cambrian Plaza Shopping Center (they are next to where the Bev Mo used to be). I'll bet they would get a lot more customers if they were street-side! We stopped by El Bazar Azteca on Saturday evening just to check it out... I was blown away, the tiny store is jam-packed with the cutest Mexican pottery you can imagine! Their stuff is colorful, yet tasteful and extremely well-made. And the prices are very good too, especially considering that this is all hand-crafted and painted in such detail. Not to mention the cost of transporting it here! We wish them every success and hope they stay around for a VERY LONG TIME! We bought three beautiful blue and white round planters - one small/medium and two large. The smaller one and one of the large planters are standard upright pots while the other large one has a flat surface so it sits on its side with the opening at an angle.
