Best dinner in Madrid! Everything was just perfect for our recent dinner at Flavia. Before going…read morewe knew they had a Gluten Free menu but didn't realize just how seriously they take allergies. Waitress was fabulous! She asked about allergens while taking our drink order. Made great suggestions for Italian wine and beer. When she brought a tasting plate with mortadella and a bread basket she pointed out to our celiac son that his GF bread was on the way - and wow! He was so impressed with his own warm HF baguette (separate packing clearly showed it was GF) Basically the entire Italian menu has available GF options which made dining a delight for my son (probably over ordered for himself but had snack for the next day!). Delicious pastas (bolognese was so tasty!) and pizzas (crisp and chewy crusts on both regular and GF). Every part of our evening was delightful.

Spain has the best GF bread; not sure why other countries can't replicate the breads. From the bread, to the pasta, to the soups, I just can't say enough good things. The majority of the menu is GF. The ambiance, the staff, the location are all perfect, and I have mentioned the food? I traveled with a pescatarian and a non-foodie, and we all loved every bite of every dish. Flavia deserves all the Michelin Stars and more. You should definitely experience it for yourself. #1sassytravler #flavia

From the moment we walked in, the staff was beyond friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was vibrant, lively, and fun. I ordered the sangria, which was honestly the best I had in Madrid, while my mom enjoyed a lovely glass of wine. We started with the padrón peppers, burrata with tomato salsa, and patatas bravas -- every single dish was packed with flavor and absolutely delicious. For the main course, we had the beef with chimichurri and butter, and OMG... it was phenomenal. Everything was cooked perfectly, and all the flavors complemented each other so well. To finish the night, we shared the chocolate dessert and the "Love Chueca" cocktail, which was incredible and the perfect ending to an amazing meal. Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. Amazing food, fantastic drinks, wonderful staff, and such a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Madrid!

As foreigners, we arrived earlier than the locals which worked out well. By the time we finished there was a crowd waiting outside. We loved the casual atmosphere and the elevated flavors of the tapas. The wine was perfect and we chose just the right amount of dishes that complimented one another. We felt like this was someplace special and were happy to have experience it.

We started walking around the area and stumbled upon the Las Cortes Madrid location of La Mafia. This restaurant found us at a point in our trip where we were all craving Italian food. We were seated promptly, had great service and a wonderful meal. The place is super cute and inviting and really made you feel like you were in Italy. I am writing this review almost 2 months after the fact, so I do not recall exactly what everyone ordered but I know that I had the meat raviolis and they were FANTASTIC! My husband and our friends ordered a few things and rotated plates so that they could all share and try everything together. Fast forward to our last night on this trip, we had wonderful cocktails at a nearby rooftop bar and found that we were all starving, so we decided to go back to La Mafia on our walk to the hotel, there were 8 of us this time and again, everyone raved about the food, service and ambiance. I didn't realize this was a chain of restaurants until trying to leave this review. It appears that only one location in Madrid has a yelp page--so I am speaking to the location on Pl. de las Cortes, just a short walk from the Prado Museum! Highly recommend!

The carpaccio was great along with the bread it came with, kind of an olive-oiled, salted pizza crust bread. Frankly, had I known it came with this bread, I'd not have ordered a pizza for my main, but I did. The pizza was very good, the crush amazing, but I did have trouble finding what I'd call a basic pizza (e.g., pepperoni, napotlitano). The menu has an mobile version with pictures which helps a lot.
