I saw a young lady sweeping in the produce area & asked if the bakery took orders. There wasn't a counter to speak to anyone just someone working behind the glass bakery cases. The girl went speak to someone whittles her it was too late to place an order today.I explained to her I only wanted to ask some questions and shared that I had driven over an hour to arrive. She returned to speak to the lady back there. The girl returned and said something about her being busy. I figured she might come out but stood there waiting and nothing. If she's there why couldn't come out to speak to a customer? I thought about asking for the manager but frankly I was annoyed by the poor service. I arrived about 5:15 and left at 5:20 today, March 17, 2026. Will never step foot inside this store ever again. I will drive into Houston & visit the one off Wayside or Crosstimbers where they have always had outstanding customer service.

The milk doesn't stay fresh nearly as long as the raw milk I get from other places in the area and the eggs are comparable to the cheapest eggs at the grocery store, nowhere near the quality you would expect from a farm. I also want to recognize Patrick, who was working in the back stocking/unloading items. He took the time to go check for a product for me, came back personally, and let me know it was unavailable. I appreciated the effort and professionalism. Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely changed the tone of my visit. The cashier, Marilyn, never greeted me, never acknowledged me when I spoke to her, and never thanked me at the end of the transaction. From beginning to end, there was not a single word exchanged from her side. When she handed me my receipt, her demeanor felt dismissive and honestly unpleasant. Idk what that attitude was about but imagine how quickly this could've gone downhill had I handled her just as rudely as she handled me. What stood out most is that there was no negative interaction beforehand that would have explained the behavior. Even if a greeting was somehow missed, there is no reason a customer should leave without at least hearing "thank you." One employee's poor customer service can easily overshadow the positive work of others, and that's exactly what happened here. Whole Foods needs to do better with consistency in customer experience, especially at the register where customers leave with their final impression of the store.

I've since been back to this store numerous times and I'm always very pleased with each experience since the incident below. So I head out to Kroger to start my weekly grocery shopping and as I stroll up to the front to purchase my items, I see they only have the self scan. Usually I don't mind if I only have a couple things, but I had an overflowing buggy. Luckily no one else was at the scanners but as I started to scan everything, that's when everyone wanted to be checked out and the line started to get backed up. Irritated that 1) these stupid things are replacing jobs people need 2) I'm not being paid to do this job, I buy from the store and they ensure the purchase of it is handled properly. I already put in my 40 hour work week 3) I'm unintentionally irritating other people by taking so long. So I finish and pay. I ask the self check out person to speak with a manager to express my opinion for the need of an actual cashier for larger purchase like mine. I was told there wasn't one and he asked what the problem was. I tried to tell him and he kept interrupting me, saying if I didn't want to scan my groceries that I should have asked him to do it. I kept telling him I shouldn't have to ask someone to check out my purchases and that I wasn't upset at him and that's why I wanted a manager. He decides to keep arguing with me and said that I can speak to a manager if I wanted to, but they wouldn't care because they get the same complaint every night. Oh? They don't care about their customers concerns? I immediately said to get his supervisor because I wanted to return my purchase. He tries to tell me I can't because the customer service center was closed. I insisted again about getting his supervisor so he pages her. I told her what happened and she ripped into him in front of me and about 5 other people then proceeded to return my $200 purchase. It's a shame because I really liked this location. 2 hours of my time down the crapper. Looks like HEB only for me.
