Many years ago I left my first 5 star review for El Agave. I am pleased to continue the tradition and update with another 5 stars. I spent spent my birthday on the patio with a frosty cold beer, a tequila shot in a **chilled** shot glass (very nice touch) and am very thankful. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and took great care of us. The food was delicious. Portions are huge! Okay! It's about time I got around to reviewing this place. I tried this place with my wife, for carry out a week ago. She ordered the Nachos Texanos and I got the burritos deluxe; one was chicken and the other was beef and bean. And we got two margaritas to go. The margarita lids were taped down, I think to discourage drinking on the go which was thoughtful of them. My burritos were amazing. The salsa they have for their chips was SPICY and so good. My wife's Nachos Texanos was GREAT as well. So much that we ordered two Nachos Texanos the next day. Then again three days later. Hook, line, and sinker. I really like this place, and I'll definitely keep ordering food from there. My ONLY negative point is the steak pieces are a little tough. Other than that, it's all great. We haven't been here since my last not so positive review. But thankfully, we returned for another visit and we're happy we did! Last Friday 1/26/2018 we went around 7 pm and they were BUSY! But we got seated pretty fast and the service was great! I ordered the carnitas tacos which were moist, tender and delicious! (see picture) My daughter got the Nachos Texanos (see picture) which is a combination of beef, chicken and shrimp. Excellent! A good amount of tastiness! My wife who is a picky eater got the chicken taco salad (see picture) which she thoroughly enjoyed and was gracious enough to share a couple bites with me and I concurred! My wife and I use to order carry out and were actually surprised if the order was right. Management would take care of it but after so many times it gets old. We started dining in and the last time I ordered the pork which was very dry and hard to chew so that was my last time going there. My wife and her friend dined in today and my wife's order was wrong, no surprise. They refused to fix it so my wife will no longer be dining there again. read more

Most of the time the food is good, other times things come out mushy or cold. Alcoholic drinks are hit or miss- one time they taste amazing other times watered down or way too strong. *We were charged twice on two different outings. Management fixed it but it's a little concerning. read more

Very tasty little place we came across before checking out the Morais Winery and Vineyard (which we give 5 stars, check it out!). We have a chicken and beef enchilada and a chalupa on our visit. Everything tasted great and was exactly what we were hoping for. The chips and salsa are GREAT. The salsa has a slight kick to it and I loved it. We also ordered a bowl of Chori Dip and it was one of the best chori dips we have had. Very very good! Our server (I believe a manager) was really friendly and helpful and made our visit pleasant. I thought I was having a really bad night. I ordered 2 dinners through door dash for tonight and only 1 was delivered. Door dash was not helpful and we were so upset- we called the restaurant so upset because we could not get our meal. The manager admitted it was his error and he immediately corrected the issue! Moved to Bealeton and never tried this place due to the low Yelp reviews. Now I'm thinking people in Bealeton don't really Yelp because this place was on point. Had a marg, chori dip, Diablo shrimp and chilaquiles con carne. Everything came out perfect. It's your basic Mexican style food served by friendly folks in a family restaurant. SOLID three and a half star joint. Inexpensive and FAST! It's complimentary delicious chips and homemade salsa I almost always get their chimichangas with beef, and they're pretty good. My wife usually gets a taco salad but also really enjoys their chile rellenos. We've tried other items there - and all have been great. Great spicy salsa, and a really good queso dip compliment their thin but extra crunchy and lightly salted corn tortilla chips. TRY THE XANGOS FOR DESSERT, SO GOOD. read more

Be sure not to get more than two refills on soda or you will be charged extra. They have basically had the same recipes for the last 10 years. I stopped in Sunday night for the first time as I don't live in the area but I'm house sitting for my daughter and I had a couple of beers and it seemed like a nice tiny little bar where I can meet some nice people. On the wall behind the bar is a big sign that says happy hour Monday and Tuesday. $3.75 for large draft beers! Now granted it is printed on a Budweiser background but it does not differentiate between the beers that are on draft. So I go in tonight and I buy four large drafts of Dos Equis. I'm expecting a $14 bill but I get a $23 Bill instead. When I asked why the discrepancy I was told "Oh well... Dos Equis is not part of the happy hour!" I pointed to the sign behind the bar and said "It doesn't say that it's not part of the happy hour!" She said "It says so over there! Around the corner, on a half-wall almost at the floor level only partially visible from the bar, there was a sign. I'm thinking to myself: "Are you f****** kidding me?" So I paid my $23 Tab and left no tip and I will never come back to that restaurant again. And I hope that anybody who reads this that lives in the Bealeton area will boycott this place because that is just outright wrong the way they handled that! I didn't even get an "I'm sorry for the miscommunication." Or "Next time you come in I will make it up to you..." Nothing... So they will get nothing from me except a bad review... read more

I'm def. a fan. The food is always delicious and prepared in a very quick fashion. The tacos, chips and salsa are def. a favorite. My only suggestion is changing the scenery a bit. Considering the building used to hold a Chinese restaurant, the seats still contain Chinese writing. While this is not too big of a concern I just feel it effects the mood of the restaurant. I also recommend changing the tv shows played so that English speaking customers may enjoy as well. read more
