I called the office today to schedule my annual physical check-up, and the doctor himself answered the phone. This is beyond ridiculous, and I wish I could leave a zero-star review for this unprofessional practice.

After COVID my thyroid gland went nuts - I experienced a lot "more" .. hair loss, insomnia, fatigue, muscle weakness and loss, extreme sensitivity to cold, numbness in a few fingers and toes, a hoarse voice, anxiety, no libido, and excessively dry skin, to name a few issues. Doctor Shah spent 1.5 hours with me on my first office visit, treated me as an individual (not an age), and listened attentively to the pain, suffering, and frustration I was going thru. He reviewed all the medical records I brought with me, and requested a panel of other lab work, along with a couple thyroid tests I never heard of before. Nine months later almost to the day, I am sleeping better, I awake each morning lighter and happier, my hair loss has stopped, I am back at the gym able to workout, and my hoarse voice is gone. Since the first visit, I have had 2 additional teledoc calls with Dr. Shah. He always ends by saying: "Don't hesitate to call me - on my cell - if you have any questions or concerns." What doctor do you know who cares about you as a "individual and not a number," gets you the results you are seeking, and provides you direct contact, anytime, via his private line..?!

About a month ago I received an email from this office saying I needed to get a new medical card…read moreshowing Doctor Hajal needed to be listed as my primary doctor on my medical card. First of all, I never saw Dr Hajal. I saw Dr Khaleel and was very happy with my visit to her last year. I call the office and the one time I got someone on the line who said yes, our office needs to be listed on your card for you to continue to come here. I call anthem and they dispute that saying I can go to any providers and there's no reason to issue me a new medical card. Since then I have called La Vista multiple times and received no answer. I have left two messages, and gotten no call back. I emailed on the app, No response so I booked an appointment on the app only for it to be canceled today without a reason why. Maybe if someone from their office staff answered the phone, I'd have an answer. Fuck this place and thank you for making me go through the whole process of looking for a doctor again.

It's my first time here, I try to get to the location and due to some insurance mishaps my appt location and time had been changed a few times. I arrived to the Crossroads location and quickly found out I arrived to the wrong one. Rushed over and even CALLED the front desk to let them know I was arriving late as a courtesy. As I walk in the front girl screening the appt just started repeating over and over how I was late and the tone was just annoyed right off the bat. Even another lady trying to come in was given attitude so quick too, but watched her as she picked and chose who to be nice to when walking in and out. ON TOP OF HAVING A WHOLE CONVERSATION ON HER CELLPHONE IN THE LOBBY out loud in front of us. Luckily they took me. Accepted my insurance and payment, the girls behind the window were a little nicer at least. The back office staff , especially the girl that took me back was much more pleasant. The conversation was there and the overall vibe was better from her. Finally seen Dr Baez. Super pleasant. Still took me in for my rather short 5 min visit and I was very satisfied. 1 star for front office staff I truly believe Dr Norman…read morelamberty deserves all five stars which is the basis of the five star review but if it wasn't for him I would have been out of this place immediately. Being on medi-cal and finding functional medicine doctor has been life changing. Yes he takes other insurance. He gives me his time, knowledge and I have seen tremendous results seeing him. When I first found him after my first appointment the front office went a whole year without answering my phone calls or calling me back. Told it was a phone system issue. Now i finally got through this year and been back with him, the trouble still stands of reaching the office sometimes I have to call eight times a day before they finally answer or not; they never return a voicenail and my prescriptions are never filled when leaving my appointment. I've never had an issue calling my doctor to have my prescriptions refilled anywhere else and the front staff always blames the doctor, I'm not a complainer but they make me feel like I am a bother. This medication is important to my well-being. I feel like their front staff lacks compassion it's one thing that you're not greeted when you come in it's another to be put aside like it's not a priority when it comes to our health. They started doing blood draws and I told them I dont do well and they said I just need to not be anxious and when I started sweating and feeling dizzy they just sent me on my way I had to ask to sit in lobby which was so embarrassing for people to watch me while I try to pull myself together. I just go to quest where they lay me down and have ZERO issues with the blood draw. I have my next blood test in 2 weeks (3 months apart from previous) and have been without my prescriptions for a month. I am extremely grateful for dr lamberty but wish this cycle of having meds then being fully without them would cease and my care could run smoothly without worrying about trying to reach them. Last time I had to make another appt to see him just to get the refills this time I couldn't get an appointment before my follow up date appt already set. It is just irritating but worth it because the doctor is fantastic and the other doctors I have seen had very concerning treatment suggestions.

I had a very upsetting experience with Dr. Khawam. I have been dealing with severe back pain for…read morealmost a year, and the pain has significantly affected my sleep, daily activities, and ability to work. I attempted to have an MRI done three separate times, but because of my severe claustrophobia, I was unable to complete it. I came to see the doctor because I wanted to know if there were other options, such as sedation, that could allow me to get the MRI or if there were other tests that could help determine what was causing my pain. Instead of listening to my concerns, I felt that I was being dismissed. He questioned why I needed the MRI and what I thought it was going to show. He told me that my options were physical therapy and losing weight and suggested that my weight was likely the reason for my back pain. I understand that my weight is something I need to address, but I know my body, and I know that the severe pain I have been experiencing is not something I should simply be told to live with because of my weight. I was looking for a doctor to listen to me and help determine why I have been in so much pain. When I became upset, he told me to give him a moment while he spoke with a colleague. When he returned, I felt that his attitude toward me was even worse. He asked me what I thought was wrong with me. At that point, I became overwhelmed and walked out because I no longer felt comfortable continuing the conversation. I want to give a special thank-you to the front desk staff. They listened to me when I came out of the room upset, allowed me to explain what had happened, and helped me get connected with Corrina, the nurse. I truly appreciate them taking my concerns seriously instead of ignoring what had happened. I am also very grateful to Corrina, who called me, listened to me, apologized for my experience, and told me she would speak with the doctor and his supervisor. Most importantly, she actually helped me move forward. She was able to get a CT scan ordered as an alternative since I could not complete the MRI, as well as referrals to neurology and neurosurgery to explore other options, including ways I may eventually be able to complete an MRI. My CT results showed that there are issues with my spine that require further evaluation, which was extremely upsetting to me because I felt that I had initially been ready to be dismissed as simply being overweight. I am sharing this review because patients deserve to be listened to, treated with compassion, and taken seriously, especially when they are experiencing severe pain. I am thankful that I spoke up for myself and that the front desk staff and Corrina took the time to listen and advocate for me. Without their help, I don't know if I would have gotten the additional testing and referrals I needed. Thank you to the front desk staff and especially Corrina for treating me with kindness and helping me when I felt like I wasn't being heard.

Awful experience. Pomona location…read more Doctor was a new resident so she was trying to demean me to prove she knew what she was doing. She wasn't the doctor I had chosen so unfortunately I was stuck with her. She dismissed a picture of me almost in anaphylactic shock as "I suggest taking a Claritin." She dismissed how I described living in mold infested housing meant I had symptoms of fatigue, she misunderstood mycotoxins and said "no, if you had a fungal infection I wouldn't been able to tell. I work with those people in a hospital." The unbelievable student assistant/student doctor also laughed at me after asking me what I thought I was diagnosed as. The other doctor didn't even care that the girl asked me that, she was already out of the door and didn't care. I guarantee you she brought the student doctor as an example of "here's a patient who's symptoms aren't real, let's look at her as an example of what happens to people who make up symptoms." Because of this now I'm gonna have to pay out of pocket for actual specialists and not inexperienced residents who dismiss everything. More expensive out of pocket but it will be worth it to avoid this type of BS.
